I was pleasantly surprised with the vegetarian options - while not abundant, they were really good (I had the beet salad and the mushroom risotto). Another nice touch is that you get to choose whether to be seated in the quiet area or in the part with live jazz. It was a quiet night (not overly crowded), and the jazz band maintained a relaxed atmosphere. The waitstaff was knowledgable and attentive without being intrusive. The food was very good. The Yoko Miwa Jazz trio was an amazing discovery!
Given that we did not know what to expect, it was a most memorable evening! We will remember it fondly for a long time. Not to mention doing it again with some close friends! Cocktail list was interesting and the cocktails were delicious! Wine list is extensive with MANY options by the glass. Delicious appetizers and entrees, though I probably won't order their oysters again... not that they were bad, but just not the quality you can get at a true oyster place. Portions are good, but not over-sized. Attentive wait staff. The most lovely part was the live music, the night I went it was jazz piano, not overpowering loud, but just right. Very nice atmosphere. The menu is not exhaustive, but the quality of the indgredients and the preparation are supberb. I had the fish, which was perfectly cooked and melt-in-you-mouth. My companion had the lamb shank which was equally excellent and succulent. The waiter was attentive and helpful.
