Les Halles DowntownA good option for this neighborhoodSpeedy service, lots of options -- light salads, sandwiches, big steaks if you want. Good happy hour specials. Very relaxed and fun for a FiDi place. Noise level is a bit high for lunch.5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and serviceEscargot and Confit de Cunard were wonderful. Service was great. Recommend the Crepes Les Halles for dessert with their wonderful coffee.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMFavorite Neighborhood SpotWe moved to Lower Manhattan late last year, and discovered Les Halles a few weeks later. It quickly became our favorite go-to spot in the neighborhood for date night. Fantastic food, great ambiance and service, a great wine list and beer list (the latter is fairly rare for a French bistro). Given the location, we always find it relatively easy to get a reservation with just a few hours notice. It's not incredibly noisy, also a plus, and makes for a great date spot as well as a group outing (though we've only been on our dates). Highly recommend. Get the burger + fries, they are the best I've had so far in Manhattan.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMAlwys greatLes Halles is always a great place for lunch or inner. A great neighborhood gem. The food is excelent, the front har room is one of my favorite places. Love it The food great s always
Love to be back there5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent FoodGreat restaurant. Went here for Mother's Day and we completely ignored the pre-fix menu, just ordered from the regular menu. It was glorious. There were four of us so of course we all ordered from the different sides of the menu for all meals. We are not a group to go through three whole courses but here everything was too good to pass up. We had everything from the beets appetizer to the banana flambe dessert. All the dishes were amazing. The meat fell apart in your mouth, the duck wasn't chewy like other restaurants would serve. Absolutely everything was 'lick your plate clean' good. The flambe came out and was prepared right in front of you, so that was a good show, especially after a few glasses of their huge wine selection.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMTraditional French Dishes....and some pleasant surprises like Boudin Noir. Escargot was excellent and my wife's Cassoulet was perfect. Great glass of Muscat to finish the night! We'll be back.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was excellent. IThe food was excellent. I had steak tartare which was beautifully prepared at the table to my specifications. The frites and side salad were great. My wife's confit d'canard was superb as was the apple tart we shared for dessert. We went on a Monday which is 1/2 price wine night, which was still another treat. We've now been to both Les Halles, this one on John Street and the one on Park Ave...both are great in all respects. We'll be back.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMLives Up to ExpectationsFriends visiting from Missouri who are huge Anthony Bourdain fanes. We were not disappointed and our waiter gave them one of the best NY experiences I have ever witnessed. They loved it!5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMSuperb on all frontsAn excellent restaurant and exceptional value for money.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMI had a dinner reservation.I had a dinner reservation. The hostess seated me. The waitress took my drink order and then disappeared. One of the managers came asked how things were and I told him I would like to order. He later told me the waitress did not know I wanted to eat. It would have been nice if she would have asked. Other than the delay in getting served everything else was great. Good steak.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMLes Halles BirthdayAbsolutely fantastic dinign experience, can't wait to be back!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMAtkins Friendly! We're regulars and we keep coming back because the food is consistently good as is the service. What's really wonderful is we are doing the Atkins diet and so much of the food is Atkins friendly.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMUsually here for brunch (bestUsually here for brunch (best Eggs Benedict in the hemisphere), but this time here for plain lunch. Ate the French Dip sandwich, which was the best one of those I've ever had. Highly recommended.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was excellent withThe food was excellent with very large portions. The only thing better than the food was the service.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently Good! We've been coming here for roughly 9 years or so. It's nice that the staff stays the same for long periods of time (at least the front of the house)- most of them are terrific! The food is also reliably good. We'll be back!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMThe filet of beef and theThe filet of beef and the skirt steak were delicious. The french fries were crispy and fresh. Desserts were decadent. Very pleasant atmosphere. My only complaint was that it took a particularly long time to get the food. I would definitely eat there again and recommend it to others!3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways consistently wonderful.Always consistently wonderful. So many French Brasserie standards it is difficult to choose...and all woncderfully prepared. Every trip we make to New York ususually required two meals at Les Halles.1/16/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat lunch special. Our waiterGreat lunch special. Our waiter actually recommended the meal and all 3 of us enjoyed it. I will return.1/1/0001 4:00:00 PMThis was my first visit toThis was my first visit to Les Halles and I was not disappointed. I took a new client there for lunch and was very pleased with the service and the food was great. Our waiter recommended the trout and the bone-in chicken which we each selected and found it to be very good. Although we did not imbibe, the wine list looked great.1/1/0001 4:00:00 PM
