Les Deux Singes de MontarvieLes Deux Singes is an unassumingLes Deux Singes is an unassuming restaurant with exceptional food. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to eat in Montreal. Put a pair jeans and go. No need for a suit and tie. Don't be mislead by the attire the food is exceptioanl and creative. You won't be dissappointed. Make your reservations early there are only 10 tables. The wine list is small and don't expect an extensive bar with 100's of spirits, it's not that type of place. All the wines are also sold by the glass so you can taste anyone you want before committing to a bottle. The scallop and artic char appetizers are over the top. The beef and fish of the day were equally outstanding.9/2/2013 12:00:00 AMNeighborhood Gem , Big City TasteA taxi ride away from the downtown hotels but well worth it. Imaginative chef, talented beyond his years. Food as art, a luxury for the taste buds. Friendly, approachable service...all at a moderate price range.
This is a chef to watch...6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat FindWe were at the GP and went to this recommeded restaurant. It is small, quaint and definitely a major neighborhood spot. The food and service were outstanding. It is small (maybe 10 or 12 tables) but it seemed larger and the tables were well spaced. There were 5 of us at dinner and we had 5 different main courses. Everyone was very pleased with their selection Also, very good wine and beer selection. Will definitely return next year.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellentEverything about this place is wonderful. The duck ravioli is a must!!4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMExceeded my expectations!!This restaurant will not disappoint! The food, the service, the locale were just perfect and exactly what I was looking for. A very cozy, unpretentious, bohemian style restaurant with great food and warm and welcoming service. It felt like I was at a good friend's home and I could have lingered there for hours. Do yourselves a favour and visit this little diamond in the rough!!4/4/2013 12:00:00 AM
