  • "We went to Leroy's with a group of 8 including two young kids while we were staying for the weekend in Coronado. there was something for everyone there, the food was fantastic (try the brussel sprouts), the drinks were inspired, generously poured, and delicious, and the service and ambiance were perfect. We loved it so much we went back for the second night of our stay in Coronado. We never do that, but this place was amazing in every way. When went back the next night (Friday and Saturday), they had some new items on the menu, plus some new beers on tap to try. This place is a gem and cant wait to go back!"

  • "The food here is always wonderful. It was a bit loud the night we were there, butnot so much that we could not converse."

  • "Shocked that this place actually is still in business. Coronodo has some great casual dining this isn 't one. Food was tasteless, menu was uninspired for brunch, bar was busy. I assume the drinks were good?"

  • "Our favorite spot for dinner when we anchor at Glorietta Bay. Great walk into town, greeted by friendly service, fun cocktails and food that never disappoints. The service was a bit off on this last time, waiter never updated us when our burgers took 30 minutes to arrive after our starter. Nor did he check back in after we final go the burgers."

  • "This was my first time here. It was rather loud but a nice atmosphere. Food was awesome, very knowledgeable staff and good wine!"

  • "Happy hour is great. Excellent service and you can't beat the food. The seasonal items are fantastic."

  • "Excellent food and service. The live music was nice, but a little loud for our taste. Definitely want to go back soon though!"

  • "Our recent vacation to Coronado took us to Leroy's Kitchen and Lounge. The food was outstanding, had the deviled eggs as a starter, beet salad and entrees of shrimp (so flavorful) and pork loin (again full of wonderful flavors and prepared perfectly). The staff was pleasant, efficient and available when needed. Thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant and would recommend it highly."

  • "Had an early dinner during "Social Hour", specialty cocktails $2 off and $5 drinks offered. Enjoyed the tacos but, the baked pretzels was not as soft and flaky as before. Cocktails were very good, specially the bacon infused bloody mary."

  • "Stumbled into Leroy's many months ago after hanging at the beach and was impressed at the draught beer selection. Who knew that the food was so good, too? The Duck Chilaquiles disappointed me a little--since when is duck not flavorful? But the Bacon Waffle and the decadent ding dong for dessert more than made up for it. Service was friendly and fairly speedy--it was Fathers Day, after all. Check em out! You won't be disappointed 😁"

  • "Hands down the best food, best service and predict fit for Coronado. Leroy's has it all without being snooty. A casual atmosphere with five star food; an organic and sustainable menu that changes to fit the seasons. The kitchen staff, bartenders, hostesses and servers are there to ensure that you have the best experience possible and they deliver. Notable mentions are Ryan, Garret and Kim. Enjoy!"

  • "Leroy's has always been my go to place when I visit Coronado. This time was rather disappointing. On the positive side, the wait staff was friendly and attentive and the alcoholic drinks were unique and enjoyable. Also, my daughter and her friend really enjoyed their burgers. However, the restaurant was extremely noisy this time and the food was subpar for my date and I. She had the steak and I had the halibut. The halibut tasted like it had been under a heat lamp. It was dry and lacked flavor. My date had to send her steak back because it was overcooked (which they promptly replaced). The cheese board was skimpy for the price. I would still give Leroy's another chance because of my previous experience with them."

  • "When we first entered Leroy's I was a bit put off by the crowds and the noise, but the service was friendly and the food was outstanding. Our creamy saffron carrot soup was delicious as was my asparagus with salmon and a poached egg. This place is better than Gather in Berkeley. Leroy's is innovative without going so far that the food becomes really strange."

  • "I consider myself a pretty seasoned diner and critic. My daughter and I shared the squash blossoms, watermelon salad, burger with bacon jam and halibut, all amazing!!!"

  • "Kristen made our first Leroy's Kitchen + Lounge experience today completely memorable. Impeccable suggestions, great personality, upbeat & considerate of food allergies, likes, dislikes...ensuring each amazing item was enjoyable and safe. We plan to return for brunch this weekend & as often as possible! The entire staff was personable, the chefs so obviously know what they're doing that we can't wait to taste more. Definitely order a cocktail and the french pressed coffee, too. Even the restrooms are well appointed...so important and pleasant. We had a perfect, down-to-earth upscale experience!"

  • "I was really excited when Leroy's opened in Coronado. It provides a modern sustainable food style that previously had only been available across the bridge. While I would love to keep this a neighborhood secret, I share it with all my friends. Everyone I bring in becomes a convert and brings a friend. This is the first time I came on a friday night and it was packed. We had a reservation so it was smooth sailing. Service and food was excellent. "

  • "They usually do live music on Sundays, so it can get loud inside. Great place for lunch or dinner, and sunday brunch is excellent. Service is always on point. I would recommend making a reservation."

  • "My third time there and this was my least fave. In part, that's on me and how we ordered. The Brussels sprouts have a yummy sauce, but were greasier than I remembered. The pork sandwich was not what I expected. Greasy fries were not worth the calories. Maybe a salad. Prior visits included tasty salads. I am unresolved on this."

  • "Nice atmosphere, decent prices, and food tasted good overall. The dishes weren't very hot, and the pork chop/roast was way under cooked unfortunately. Waiter took care of the bill on the pork though which was the correct thing to do. Appetizers were good and the waiter was excellent."

  • "I was in town to visit friends who live on Coronado and when we discussed where to go for our 'special occasion birthdays', they mentioned that they hadn't been to Leroy's yet. I used the Open Table reviews to clinch the decision. The food was amazing and my friends wonder why they haven't been there yet! We had their 3 year old son with us and I was surprised at how accommodating they were to children considering the higher scale . They had a nice children's menu, provided a magna-doodle and even had a child friendly woman's restroom. The food was amazing, we all agreed the short rib was the hit of the night. The desserts/ice cream were also top notch. We had a great night out. Noise level was energetic, live music was nice."

  • "The menu for Leroy's was beautifully written, inviting, innovative and fresh. However, the food was lackluster, poorly seasoned and indifferently plated. A must miss during any trip to Coronado."

  • "From the looks of this place, one might expect to find the usual bar fare of wings, and other nondescript hors d'ouevres. But I gather that there are quite a number of people who know that the food (and the beer) are major reasons to come here. Creative, well-spiced, and reasonable portions served by knowledgeable, confident staff. SUperb!"

  • "Service was slow for getting our drinks after others were ordering and getting their drinks. We came in early and sat before others."

  • "Was really looking forward to our pre-theater meal here, but was disappointed. Salad greens were old and limp, and I had to pick the really gross parts out. Service was very slow, both to order and to receive food, though the restaurant was not very busy at the time we were there."

  • "Great service, food and atmosphere!! Would definitely go back."

  • "Went to this restaurant with some friends for brunch. Food was delicious, waiter was amusing, and the guy playing live music was amazing! For a couple songs I actually thought that the radio was on because I couldn't see him from where I sat! All in all everything was great and we all agreed that we'll be back!! I highly recommend trying the hash (vegetable or short rib-- they're both excellent)."

  • "Upon arriving and being seated in a dark booth, we had low hopes of our meal being fantastic, but were completely redeemed when we moved to sit in a bistro table by the window and some fresh air. Our food came promptly and was FANTASTIC! Order the short rib hash for brunch and you will not be disappointed. The beer list is interesting and the server was very knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend this for a casual dining, drinking experience."

  • "This is an absolute gem of a restaurant located in beautiful Coronado. The manager, Christina, is amazing...really the glue that keeps this restaurant going. The food is wonderful...organic and locally grown. We had a wonderful server who knew not only all about the menu but how to make certain dishes! One of our all time San Diego favorite spots!!"

  • "I think the key to a great lunch is using quality ingredients that emphasize their flavor without getting overly complicated, and I think Leroy's does this really well. Both the beet salad and the chicken sandwich were thoroughly enjoyed and finished. I liked that I could get a side salad in place of fries to make my lunch a little healthier! Finally, the ability to use my passport card here encourages me to come back even sooner!"

  • "I know I can trust OpenTable to introduce me to good restaurants, but this one was great. While traveling on business I made a reservation to try something new. Leroy's still had their Restaurant week menu in place. $35 for a lovely 3 course meal.m but the highlight was the Hawaiian hazelnut coffee. That would make it worth the trip alone. Lovely ambience with live music."

  • "Came here for restaurant week lunch. The food was great. I had the mixed greens and the Cuban sandwich with fries. Wish there had been a little more relish on the sandwich but it was still delightful. The winter soup my friends got looked great and the mussels in a smoked tomato broth were phenomenal. Their wine and beer list is never disappointing. I had never sat and dining on the patio before and that was a great experience."

  • "Small but well-thought out and priced wine selection. Limited menu, made even more limited by the fact that the evening's special was sold out by 7:00 pm. Service was sporadic. The waiter seemed to disappear for long stretches. The four of us would have given very different "grades" on our dinners ranging from a B+ to a D+. All in all not awful ... but not great."
