Legends at Walkers BluffSpecial OccasionWe were unfortunately 20 minutes late due to my son's 6 pm graduation from SIU. We were not sure we would still be able to be served as we arrived at approximately 9:20 pm for a 9:00 pm reservation. A little difficult to find in the dark. Thank goodness for GPS. Valet parking was excellent! Staff was very attentive! We got the best table in the house right in front of the fireplace. Food and wine were very pleasing to the palate. Could not have asked for a better experience!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMwonderful!I had made a reservation for Mothers Day for my Mom who had never been to Walkers Bluff, to say the least she was very impressed and talked about our dinner all the way home and at church on Sunday! Myself I had never been either so it was a wonderful Saturday afternoon. We have discussed making this a tradition for Mothers Day in the future.

My 85 yr old mom loves Eggs Benedict -- not on menu but chef prepared them and they were great - and price was reasonable.
Brunch is very good and much less expensive than dinner. Mimosa pitcher was delicious and also reasonable.
IF dinner prices scare you -- definitely go to brunch.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMUndiscovered gem!!We went to the Legends for my wife's birthday celebration. Business casual is the dress code - the ambiance is excellent - great decorating - and the fireplace was superb with glowing warmth in the room. The food was absolutely superb - some of the best salmon I have ever tasted. Also, my wife indicated her dinner was stupendous. We will be going back when we again visit this part of the state in the future. The nearby wine tasting room is one of the most fabulous rooms we have ever seen with appropriate ambiance - we know of nothing in the state which ranks as nice as this room for wine tasting. Great atmosphere, beautiful grounds. Tasting Room looks cool, but it was closed for a private event. Food was good but not as good as the prices would suggest. I've had better steak for half the price (but remember the ambiance). I would rather have better food than all the fluff. I ordered the stuffed chicken which I didn't think was very good, the chicken tasted a little dry and there was no "stuffing" in the chicken, which made it taste a little plain, for the price of the food I was expecting for it to be better. However my boyfriend had the pork chop and had no complaints. One another complaint was the beer "born on date", my boyfriends beer had a born on date of December and tasted "skunked", which is how we say the beer has gone bad. The manager came to our table and assured us that the beer is still good 6 months past the born on date. My bf received another beer that tasted fine.
