Had hoped to dine at LS in Maryland but alas it is no more. Tyson's site however was very clean, well staffed, and polite. Food was well prepared, a bit pricey, and prompt. Come on, reopen in MD, but not a mall. And what's with the just from the beach attire with so many guests? LS deserves better.

I did not feel that the waitress was attentive to my needs. She never came to my table to check if my food order was ok once it was dropped off. My scallops were undercooked and quite a disappointment. My sides were very good though. I did catch the waitress as she walked by and asked her to have the kitchen staff cook my scallops more and they did, but by then I had already eaten half of them.

I have been to legal seafood in dc and loved it, but Tysons location is not good at all. Incredibly horrible service. Just walking to our table to be seated we were cut off by two different employees. And it wasn't busy at all and no reason to cut us off. After being seated we waited over five minutes to be greeted. A simple drink order of water with lemon and a glass of wine wasn't even done correctly. We ordered appetizers and they were very bland soggy like they sat in the hot window too long. We finished the wine and all of our appetizers completely and still hadn't seen the server again. So we paid and left. Went down to pf changs and enjoyed the rest of our meal and drinks. It was quite the disappointment.

I have eaten at 3 other legal seafoods, this kitchen needs some training. Fish was undercooked and rubbery I really like legal seafood but I'm not sure I will return. At first I ordered salmon which was poorly cooked twice, then the 3 part fish dish was undercooked.

I have an array of food allergies. Legal always accommodates my needs but this location always goes well above and beyond. The attention to detailed needs sets the standard for service. That said, the quality of food, the superior service, the entire experience, makes it a spot that truly goes above and beyond.

Very disappointed. I had the crab cake combo send the cake was very small, the shrimp were not large and the scallops were very small. For $29.95 using larger fish is called for.they were more like Red Lobster size. Our bill came to $202 and I would not return unless changes are made.

The number one menu item that will continue to bring me back to this place is the clams. They have sweet whole belly clams that can not be found in VA and DC anywhere else. I have dined at three different Legal Seafoods in this area and multiple locations in Massachusetts. This is by far my favorite location. I highly recommend it.

The food was up to Legal's usual standards, but the service was not. We ordered an appetizer, and no more than four minutes later, the entrees arrived, meaning that we had to abandon the appetizer so that our entrees wouldn't get cold. The manager stopped by, asking something along the lines of "Is everything excellent tonight", which should never be used as an opening line, since it's almost a dare to the customer to disagree. I mentioned the pacing, and he said "Hmm, not enough time to enjoy the appetizer", and then walks away, with not even an apology. If the manager didn't want to know (or wasn't going to do something to make things right), why bother asking? When serving seafood at steakhouse prices, the service needs to match.

My wife's seafood special was outstanding. She very much loved it. My steak was another story. What they say is true - don't get anything but seafood at a seafood restaurant. A requested medium to the medium rare side filet came out dry and very well done. Pretty poor, especially since this was our 25th anniversary dinner. Oh well. Better to be forewarned LSF cannot do steak. Back on the bright side, the dessert special was very good.

The service was excellent and all of the recommendations were great. The Bam Bam Cauliflower was bursting with flavor and the Salmon was cooked perfectly which was moist and not dry. You could tell that the Salmon was fresh and the Orzo complimented the dish as well. I would recommend this place if you are into fine dining and in the mood for fresh seafood.

We love dining here for lunch at the Tysons Corner location - it is located in the Galleria Mall - across Rt 123 from the Tysons Corner Center Mall - plenty of parking available and lots to see and do before and after dining. The food is wonderful and so is the service - I always enjoy the fried shrimp won tons and grilled shrimp Caesar salad. My guest enjoyed the grilled fish and a delicious bowl of fish chowder.

We came to Legal Sea Food because of a gift card, and because we were offered babysitting to get away for the night. We had a nice time here; my wife and I love seafood, and the wine was decent. We each opted for a tasting flight of whites; only one of which I liked, but it was good enough to order a separate glass. The service was friendly, the food came out hot, and certain things really jumped out, the creamed corn and asparagus especially. The restaurant is kid friendly, they advertise as much, and there were other tables that had children. The only thing I didn't really care for was the outside seating, because the restaurant is in a mall, so sitting "outside" means sitting where shoppers are walking closely nearby.

I have to say the manager, Peter is a gem. He turned back the clock on a menu change for us and I observed him though out the evening save another patron from an embarrassing situation. The food was fresh and cooked to perfection, with skill. We had the steamers, and oysters raw and fried for appetizers. All were extremely flavorful. Where else can you even order steamers? These clams were succulent! The raw oysters were perfection and the fried were not oily, and served in shells with coleslaw for a fresh finish. I'd get each dish again. I ordered their almond crusted salmon in lemon caper sauce and excellent.

I went with two of my teenage children on a late summer Sat. night. We have been before and love the food, and this evening was no exception on that front. Lobster / raw oysters / fried calamari were simply delicious. The service was OK, not great --- our waitress was friendly but not very attentive, and it took us too long to get our drinks and food. My martini had evidently been sitting on the bar for a while, because it is was not very cold. The restaurant was hopping, and this clearly had something to do with the service: I think the management needs to look into adding more staff on these busy weekends.

My daughter couldn't wait to have fried clams it's one of her favorites and one food item she missed the most. She had a bite only one I then tried it myself . Yuck !!!!! Terribly sad especially for the cost of the meal.. We won't be back ... On a fabulous note my husband had the best Fried Oysters he has had in along time the were not gluten free

We reserved the private room in the back and it was perfect, even for a small group of 7. There is a nominal fee, but it was well worth it because my elderly parents are hard of hearing and a crowded restaurant is hard for them. There was just enough of a buffer to really make a difference. I would highly recommend this venue for parties etc.

WE ordered the: Crab dip. It came with shrimp chips (these crunchy things that Asian ppl know well) so that was a nice surprise. The dip was very good. I had the crab cake (1) lunch which came with a side salad and one side (I ordered mashed potatoes). The crab cake itself was great. It sat on top of a mustard sauce and normally I hate anything mustard related but it wasn't bad. I didn't eat the small salad because it was so plain and the mashed potatoes were average and a little dry. My two friends ordered the lobster and crab sandwich. They both loved their meals and didn't have anything negative to say about their food. Service was okay. Out drinks were filled but you could tell our server didn't want to be there. Price: expensive.

The food I ordered was good and the wait time for it was very short. Their crab cakes were delicious and so was their bread. Their strawberry short pound cake dessert should become a permanent addition to their menu. Their seaweed salad was yummy. I had multiple servers who were very polite. However, there were some issues. My main server seemed to forget me. When I asked him for a straw before my meal came he said he would be right back and he did not come back until the end of my meal, still no straw. The glass my water was in was dirty.

.... but the seafood I eat visiting this legal seafood was not at all up on par to true Legal Seafood quality. We spent $2250.00 and I felt like we didn't get our money's worth. I've gone to the Capital Grill and spent that on surf n'turf entrees and never leave feeling awkward and ripped-off. Besides the food, the style, quality and ambiance are equally uuninspiring. The waitress, on the other hand was kind, considerate and timely. Thank God.
