A word from Legal Sea Foods - King of Prussia
The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods – really fresh fish.
Legal Sea Foods is a Philly favorite. Surrounded by hotels and near both the Valley Forge Convention Center and Valley Forge National Historic Site, we are at a mall entrance on the upper level of the Court.

Guests get reeled in by our buzz-worthy lounge and comfortable dining room. Half-shell hedonists may sit at our 10-seat horse-shoe shaped oyster bar where slurping is encouraged.

Legal Sea Foods has long proven that a consistent, high quality dining experience never goes out of style. With over 40 varieties of fresh fish and shellfish available throughout the year as well as an award-winning wine list, there’s no doubt why legions of fans have fallen hook, line and sinker.

We’ve received a boatload of accolades including the honor of serving our legendary New England Clam Chowder at every presidential inauguration since 1981.

Diner Reviews
  • "I had lunch with my two sisters at Legal Sea Foods. We are originally from the Boston area so were happy to see it expand to KOP. Two of us had the lobster special, over linguine, and my other sister had the salmon special. All were delicious, the lobster was great in a light sauce that complemented it well. We started with appetizers - calamari, shrimp and the popcorn shrimp. All good. The calamari was a large portion so I took most of it home for later. Really appreciated the gluten free items on the menu as one sister is gluten-intolerant. probably 40% of the menu is gluten free, lots of choices. Service was friendly, prompt, not intrusive. Would definitely go back again."

  • "Legal Seafoods began in Boston and now has about 40 locations along the east coast of USA. Nice variety of fish and shell fish to fulfill most people's desire. From legendary Clam Chowder (served to every Presidential for over 30 years) to the special of the day. Service and ambiance usually top notch. Honors reservations. Good for business entertaining to a special occasion. A little pricey, but worth the trip."

  • "I really loved the food. They have the best crab cake I've ever had with a very good mustard sauce. We also had the crab quesadilla as an appetizer, and I loved that."

  • "We have eaten dinner many time at Legal Sea Foods. This past time, a friend and I split the dinner, which was grilled scallops (pretty good) and grilled asparagus (about 8 pencil-sized, very skimpy spears - so we each had 4). Dinner wasn't bad, but dessert was seriously overpriced and misleading. I had ordered the "strawberry shortcake" for dessert, which was about $6.95. What I got was 2 slices of sort-of toasted pound cake, whipped cream, some kind of strawberry puree and about 2 slivers of strawberries. I ate some of it, but thought I should tell the manager how that was NOT strawberry shortcake and how overpriced it was. I have to say that even though she took it off our tab, she was less than gracious about the criticism."

  • "I had some friends come to town and made a reservation here for dinner on a Sunday night. It was not busy at all. Server was helpful but not overly attentive. Food was okay but not superior. We sat at a table in the back of the bar that was right over the loading dock area of the mall and our table seemed to shake and rattle with the opening of the dock doors so don't sit here."

  • "We have been here before, I like the fact that they have a Gluten Free menu. The Grilled scallops were delicious. We will definitely be back to this place."

  • "I've been here many times, but I took my cousin who had graduated from college in May since I missed his graduation and party and he had nevr been to Legal Seafood and he so enjoyed himself, from the drinks, the appy's to the entree and the service was on point."

  • "The Appetizers are great and in my opinion better than the entries. The mussels and spicy calamari are fantastic. Crab cakes are tasty."

  • "They sat us close to the bar...it was our anniversary and we could have done without the crosstalk and close tables."

  • "Dining at Legal Seafood is always a pleasure. There is something for everyone, even non-seafood lovers. Food quality is excellent, the service was provided by an enthusiastic high energy young lady who knew how to deal with senior citizens. Legal never has an issue and is always attentive to special requests."

  • "I am a twice a year regular when I meet up with family on my visit to the States. Have known Legal Seafoods since my living in Worcester MA and the Boston branch. Always consistently good, fresh and not heavily fried. Only down side is that I find the prices fairly high for my budget and notice the extra large ratio of fries to food. I totally get that good quality fresh food has a cost but if I were to live locally, I would not be able to make it a regular eating place on my income. It is a special occasion place for me."

  • "Love this place. Great service, best calamari in the county, and excellent desserts/wine list. Very welcoming for children, which is hard to find with more upscale dining establishments."

  • "The service was a little slow. Also my husband said the clams he had with his meal were very bland."

  • "We wanted to dine in the King of Prussia area. It was a last minute Father's Day and Birthday dinner and we decided to try Legal Sea Foods although we were hesitant and were not looking for pedestrian type food. Service was phenomenal, food was suprisingly delicious and fresh (we did not partake but the raw bar looked excellent) and all members of our party (from 25 to 85) very much enjoyed their meals. Food portions are so adequate that although dessert menu looked inviting, no one had any room. We will definitely visit again."

  • "Would not recommend for any of the above categories. This Legal was awful. Food was extremely over priced, quality (taste) was well below average. I have been to other locations and the food-everything was outstanding. Not this mall location. I over sold this restaurant to my husband that never ate at Legal. This was a mistake. "Special" sangria was soda water, white wine and lemons- $12!! Server brought me a red Sangria that was better. First clue- restaurant was empty at 5:30 on a Thursday evening. Veggie box with shrimp was a mush of cabbage swimming in watered coconut and rice - Yuk. Calamari tasted as if it had been previously fried and re-warmed for service. Will not go back. Next time we will go to Maggianos or keep driving."

  • "Our food not only took long but was served room temperature and had no flavor. We wasted over $300 at this place. Never again!"

  • "Been going here for years... Management had changed or something but I know it's not like It was 1 year ago... Here we go: Reservations made for a late lunch. Arrived and was seated immediately. Ordered 2 entrees, both had bones in them and server was apologetic and nothing further. In my business, if we make a mistake or the product is defective, the whole bill is comped. In this case, I don't even think they knew how to handle such an easy fix. PATHETIC"

  • "Our dining experience wasn't what were expecting. We liked the look and the service, our food just wasn't to our liking. The baked stuffed lobster had too much stuffing and just became too messy to enjoy. The tuna was not what I expected either. Maybe it was the entrees my Wife and I chose but, I probably won't go back ."

  • "Food and service were very good. Seating was too close to other dinners. This was not necessary as it wasn't that crowded. Overall good experience"

  • "I brought some coworkers, 2 who have never been at LSF. Everyone loved the food. Noise level was low at lunch, noticably lower than dinner time. I never hesitate when we consider going back."

  • "The ambiance was suitable for both families and couples. Food was great - including the hamburger for non-seafood eater! Our server was a little slow - his service area seemed to have included at least three large groups including ours. I will definitely return and refer others as well!"

  • "My hubster and I went out for dinner last Saturday and decided to try this restaurant. We were a little in ore about being seated next to a loud 6 top table group and felt a little uncomfortable, as it happened we found the group quite entertaining but would have been happier seated somewhere a little quieter. The food was excellent hot and tasted great all in all a good experience."

  • "Prices are listed as $$ when $$$ is much closer to reality. Drink/wine is significantly overpriced. While I thought it fit the bill for an adult birthday, i think it is overpriced. Hence, I will not be frequening the restaurant with any rergularity. Btw none of the table had whole lobster."

  • "If you are Gluten Free, Legal Seafoods delivers. The GF menu is extensive and the restaurant manager disclosed the wheat content in the vodka. "

  • "I am not a fan of Jicama so I switched out for kale. The sauce was delicious but the kale was whole leaves and tough to cut. It should have been chopped and younger for a side dish like that. "

  • "Very good. Can accommodate dietary needs and do so kindly."

  • "Every item was delivered in a timely fashion and hot. The signature crabcakes were the best I've had in a very long time. I'm originally from the New England area and am particular about my seafood. The Spinach and Feta Cheese dip I enjoyed better than the typical Spinach and Artichoke dip."

  • "Went for lunch specifically for the mussels which are equal to any (even Monk's.). Saw a watermelon drink w vodka on the menu but wanted just the juice. This was arranged by waitperson and bartender and at a reasonable price. Great experience all around. Highly recommend this chain for seafood and clam chowder any time."

  • "Placed next to the service/kitchen doors and I was staring directly at a service station the entire evening. Waited almost 30 minutes before getting our first drinks and 15 minutes before a waitress even visited our table. Ceasar salad ends of the Romaine were predominantly used not the leafy parts which is what should have been. I ordered the Lobster Boil meal. I was not served my chowder, sausage or corn which I should have. The meal was steamed, ok? No flavor at all, I had to ask for extra butter and lemon. I was not provided proper utensils..and had to ask for lobster bib..Softshell clams are not the most appealing and I left most on my plate. Disappointment even though we spent over $235 for two for our meal..."

  • "Legal Seafood is the only place in PA that I will eat seafood because it is always fresh and cooked appropriately! Our party had cocktails, shrimp cocktail, a doz. oysters, swordfish prepared different ways and dessert. Loved the new cucumber cooler and the boston cream pie, also of note was the special: swordfish with a jicama slaw and street corn. It was a perfect end to a beautiful day and well worth the hour drive. "
