A word from Legal Sea Foods - King of Prussia
The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods – really fresh fish.
Legal Sea Foods is a Philly favorite. Surrounded by hotels and near both the Valley Forge Convention Center and Valley Forge National Historic Site, we are at a mall entrance on the upper level of the Court.

Guests get reeled in by our buzz-worthy lounge and comfortable dining room. Half-shell hedonists may sit at our 10-seat horse-shoe shaped oyster bar where slurping is encouraged.

Legal Sea Foods has long proven that a consistent, high quality dining experience never goes out of style. With over 40 varieties of fresh fish and shellfish available throughout the year as well as an award-winning wine list, there’s no doubt why legions of fans have fallen hook, line and sinker.

We’ve received a boatload of accolades including the honor of serving our legendary New England Clam Chowder at every presidential inauguration since 1981.

We ordered a small treasures of the reef and were disappointed. We've had it in the past a couple of times and there was much more seafood - this time the clams, mussels, and oysters were small, two small portions of smoked salmon, and 4 shrimp all together. Lobster was fine. The balance of the food we ordered was delicious! Thank you.

I took my girlfriend to Legal Sea Foods for oysters on her birthday. The only problem we had was that our order was accidentally served to another table and we had to wait significantly longer for our oysters. Other than that, we were very much pleased and look forward to visiting again.

My shrimp with crab stuffing was not very good. There was no crab in the "stuffing", the meal was really only 3 shrimp for $24.00, & my side dish was not very hot. I usually love this restaurant, but that night it was not up to par. My husband's fish was fair, also not up to the usual standard. We won't be in a hurry to go back.

A very enjoyable experience. I had previoulsy eaten many years ago at one of the original restaurants in Boston and was delighted to find that, if anything, the food and service has only gotten better. We had reservations for 7:45 and waited for 5 minutes to have the table ready. The food was great, prepared exactly as ordered. Service was prompt and competent. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

I have eaten at Legal Seafoods here and in Boston several times but this was a REALLY annoying experience. The noise and crowded conditions were awful, the waiter was annoyingly pushy, trying to sell us on wine that we didn't want and telling us what a bargain it was compared to other restaurants. We will never go back there for dinner.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed the meal... (I am not one for chain resturants) But the food was really very good. Of course the wait staff dropped an entire arm full of dishes at the foot of our table (nearly all over my friend who I was with) and then no sooner did he scoop it all up -- another person came flying by and made him drop it ALL AGAIN at our table.... He was very apologetic, however I was quite surprised and disappointed that the manager did not bother to come over to say anything to us or make sure that we were not splattered with food. On the plus side, since we were celebrating 2 birthdays, they comped our dessert (3 Bon Bons - yummy).

We were excited over the prospect of dinner at Legal Sea Foods. Staff was nice enough as well as the ambiance and decor. We started dinner (party of 2) at 5:45p while there were just a handful of people having dinner and drinks. As the restaurant became busier and more crowded, our waiter disappeared, the main course came out late and we lost the dining experience. Restaurant should revise the layout and install some tables surrounded by plants, half -walls or something. Not a place for a romantic, quiet evening, but may give it a second chance knowing that. Thanks

The quality of the food at Legal Sea Food was very good. It was expensive but the sea food was fresh and well prepared. An excellent choice of wine by the glass. Attractive surroundings and very good wait staff. Because of the price I would not go to Legal Sea Food every week but would certainly take business clients or out-of-town guests there.

We were then informed there was "an Accidemt with my daughter's kids meal(Pizza) amd it would be right out. 8-10 minutes after the first two entre's came out the other two adult entres arrives and then finally the pizza. Went to detemine if it was a good place for me to host a corporate event. So but I do'nt think so. And this was at 6:00 when they were not even close to being really busy.

Food was disappointing...salad dressing was tasteless. I had the crab cake combo (with scallops and shrimp) and none of it seemed fresh and it wasn't very hot. It was also disappointing that more than half the plate was filled with the same tasteless salad I had just moments before! Had to wait a long time just to get the check! I was, however, very impressed with the staff's attention to my son's peanut allergy. Also, the special Sangria drink was very tasty and refreshing.

We went at lunch and the service so horrible. The restaurant wasn't crowded and there was plenty of staff around. I ordered scallops and expected large scallops, they were a little bigger then bay scallops. It was a business lunch and I was with my manager and couldn't concentrate on what was being said at the tail end of lunche because I was trying to get anyone's attention to pick up our check! Finally we handed it to some other server. I only gave a 15% tip - I NEVER give such low tips... this time I didn't even feel bad about it.

I have dined at Legal in the Boston area many times -- though it was some years back -- and always found it outstanding -- not quite No-Name, but among the best. I was looking forward to a smilar experince in Philly, only I can't say how badly I was disappointed, as were my dining partners. The soups -- particularly the Maryland crab [actually a bisque more than a 'normal' Maryland crab] were fine -- but the entrees were truly bad. The fried clams I had were soggy, as were the french fries [and there is NO excuse for that, in either case], and half of the lobster and crab ravioli my wife had were tough and chewy, while the other half were over cooked. I guess it just isn't legal any more... Too bad.

My son has dairy allergies. This restaurant takes this beyond serious. The manager visits tables of allergic people. It was explained to my son (and us) that his food would be cooked separately and be overseen by the manager. It would be brought out by the manager. all of this happened!! They were SO nice. Legal Seafood always has good food, but the Nutty Wild Salmon was not quite as flavorful this time as when we visited a few months ago. A few minor service errors: We had a 8:30 pm Saturday night reservation for 4. We arrived on time, but they seated us 15 minutes late at a table that only had three chairs. Water glasses were slightly dirty. The herb roasted chicken came out with the wrong side dish. The waitress was very nice and fixed the chair and side dish problems quickly. She tried to get us clean glasses, but I think their dishwasher was not working properly. We would return to this restaurant because our teenagers consider it a special occasion restaurant where they can get lobster and good clam chowder.

As a family with serious food intolerances, it is difficult to find a good restaurant. We particularly enjoy Legal Seafood's Gluten-Free Menu. It offers something for everyone in our family. We are pleased with the attention that Legal Seafood pays to ensuring our food does not contain any wheat/rye/barley. We appreciate that the restaurant will make substitutions for things we really like (i.e. cornmeal breading instead of flour on our calamari) We will continue coming to Legal Seafood and share our experience with our other gluten free friends. PS - You should change your menu label from Celiac to Gluten Free, as celiac disease is only a small part of gluten intolerance.
