  • "Legal Sea Foods never disappoints. Great fresh shellfish, seafood dishes and great drinks! Recommended without reservation!"

  • "Our party of five thoroughly enjoyed all of the items, including the large shrimp and lobster appetizer, that we ordered. The menu contains a nice variety of fresh and tasty cooked and raw seafood, among other items, together with nice vegetable sides, such as mushrooms, spinach, kale, etc. A nice dessert was presented to the birthday person. I cannot comment on the other desserts as we had dessert at home as we continued our celebration there. We were seated in a nice corner section, which was somewhat private for our party. The atmosphere was very nice and enjoyable. The waitress, Danielle, was very personable and efficient and we enjoyed interacting with her."

  • "Thought the food was absolutely delicious and fresh - thought it was a little overpriced but it is located in King of Prussia - portion size for the seafood was OK but thought the entree should have come with some kind of veggie besides the small salad. Waiter was wonderful."

  • "Fresh and delicious. Great chowder and sangria is a must."

  • "The tuna on the grill was not seared at all . The rest of our food was great best oysters we have ever had. They were blue points"

  • "Family of 6 for dinner. Food was Ok . Kids liked their choices. The wifes meal was not so good (could not eat it all) and mgr gave us credit. That was appreciated. Place was noisy and busy. Service just fair. Had to remind server that salads were not served. Probably will not return."

  • "We had an amazing time here. From the apps to the dessert the food was very good. The only downside was the seafood cassarole the cheese was way to much. But overall geat place and service."

  • "The service was impeccable, the food good. Our waitress was charming and attentive throughout the meal. No problem with "omit the tomatoes and onions," or "could I have kale instead of the brocolli (vegetable of the day already on the plate)." For my part, the calamari was good, the jambalaya was bland. Although the latter included andouille sausage, it had been tossed in at the last minute. You did not taste any seasoning until you bit into a piece of sausage. The other folks seemed very pleased with their dishes. Take note of "Flavors" when you order your fish (cajun spice, lemon chive butter, etc.)."

  • "For a good experience, have appropriate expectations. For mixed drinks, stick with the simple or common. For food, they are best for supplying seafood well prepared and not in complex dishes. Popular restaurant on the weekend, so bar was behind in filling orders, and food was served promptly, which meant salads arrived shortly after cocktails arrived. Don't expect leasurely dining."

  • "Legal Seafood never lets me down and I've been going there since the 80's. Their baked scrod is wonderful and you can't beat their chowder."

  • "I was very impressed with the gluten free options available to me as I have celiac disease. This was the first restaurant I went to that had gluten free bread. The food is still more bland than I prefer, but I really appreciated the options. Thanks so much for accommodating me. The overall menu was great too."

  • "Food & service are always very good here. I usually have the ahi tuna, it's always done just the way I like it. This time I tried the grilled assortment. It was fabulous & a Very generous portion! It had salmon, magi magi, swordfish, shrimp & scallops! My daughter had a shrimp & garlic dish over pasta and she loved it, and it, too, was a very generous portion! Got a lobster roll for my husband to enjoy for lunch the next day, which he always enjoys! Always terrific! Servers very attentive & helpful!"

  • "We took my parents out for their 50+ year wedding anniversary after having visited (and loving) Legal Seafood in Boston. I was disappointed in the quality of the food. We had stuffed lobster, sesame tuna, wood fired grill assortment & salmon. For the price, the portions were good, but preparation was not very good. My wood fired grill was overdone and seemed soggy. The lobster had good flavor, but was loaded with bread crumbs. Service was very good and server did good job keeping us happy. I could go on, but won't...you get the point. Very disappointing overall and NOT the experience we had at the Boston location."

  • "We had dinner on a Friday night at Legal Seafoods. We were seated at a cozy table in the back of the bar area - I actually liked this better than being in the main dining room. After a half dozen bluepoints, my husband had the tuna in sesame seed, which he said was delicious, and it was a huge portion which he couldn't finish. I had grilled shrimp with sides of spinach and brown rice. We had excellent service from Tyler. This was another fantastic dinner at Legal Seafoods, and we will continue to return."

  • "I had a lunch meeting at the restaurant. I made reservations at 1:00 to avoid a noisy lunch. Our waiter was very attentive and considerate and did not have a problem with us hanging out at the table after we finished our lunch. The food was good and service was great."

  • "The only negative to our evening was the noise level. This is a very busy restaurant with loud patrons. At times it was difficult for two of the guests sitting across from each other (on a normal 4 top table) to hear each other. The food and service was top notch. I would return but would likely make a reservation for a different time slot when not so busy"

  • "I went with a friend to celebratemy birthday a bit late by a couple of months due to the weather we have had this winter. We both had the cream of crab soup. It is to die for. Creamy, rich and has several large pieces of crab meat. We also opted for the crab cake with shrimp ans scallops. All 3 were delicious. I am a crab cake snob as I typicallly only eat them in the state of Maryland but this one was full of lump crab meat and quite tasty. I really love their scallops. they are tender and delicious. WE were stuffed byt thoroughly enjoyed our meal."

  • "This was our first time to Legal Seafood in Philly and we really enjoyed it. The fish was high quality and the variety was excellent. The prices are on the higher side $25-$30, but we didn't mind since it was so good. Highly recommend the Thai calamari - cooked just right. Beer list was short, but had some good craft selections. They had an extensive wine list and do flights."

  • "Maryland crab bisque and crab cakes with only crab and salmon sushi grade. Fresh hot buns! The NE Clam soup is what was served at the Inaugural address in the White House!"

  • "Excellent seafood - fresh, grilled perfectly, served medium rare as requested. Grilled trio platter (not sure what it was called) had tuna, swordfish and salmon, with a few shrimp and scallops. Excellent deal. Very good service."

  • "Had my family here for a meal working around picking up my daughter at the bus stop from Penn State in King of Prussia. I had a cup of New England clam that was actually pretty good. Then, my crab cake combo came--one crab cake, four grilled shrimp and some scallops for just under $30. The crab cake was actually deceptively presented--some lump in the front and then some sort of nasty brown filler making up the rest--which was well over half. The four grilled shrimp were probably actually mediums and the scallops were the tiniest non-bay scallops I have ever seen. No sides come with it and I polished it off pretty quickly and was still pretty hungry. Really disappointing."

  • "For a chain restaurant, Legal's prices are quite high. Food is adequate. The "special" Arctic char presented a nice fresh piece of char but the sides were tasteless. The grilled shrimp was better; with the sides of green beans and faro salad this was a better choice Dessert of ice cream bon bons (3) as presented without any additions on the plate were meager and not as good as an eskimo pie! Service rated with typical diner service."

  • "Out waiter was the best, there when we need him, quick service. Awesome food recommendations! And when he found out it was my son's 23rd birthday he brought out a special ice cream treat w a candle! We were glad no one sung, he did not want that! Thank you for a great experience! I also looked that you have a gluten free menu!"

  • "I love this place! Fresh seafood, daily menu specials and the best rolls ever! The dessert was just fair. We got chocolate pudding filled cake. It needed salt or salted caramel would have set it off, but I always enjoy eating here and rarely have room for dessert. Try the crab bisque!"

  • "Need to be more of a choice for fish entrée that is just plain...... baked with wine, lemon, or something simple and light. I had the nutty salmon and there were more nuts than salmon.....Menu not as appealing as it was several years ago...... Service was very good."

  • "I love this restaurant. It is my favorite seafood restaurant. Whew else can you find a menu that offers at least 6 choices of fish? The mashed potatoes are never ruined with too much garlic. The vegetables are always cooked perfectly- not too overdone or underdone. There are multiple choices if other interesting seafood dishes. I'm thrilled they are still on open table. The staff couldn't be more helpful!"

  • "The New England Clam chowder was the freshest tasting clam chowder I ever tasted. The menu is kind of different, with some Asian inspired dishes as well as some menu items that sound like a glorified Red Lobster. The Prices are a bit on the expensive side, but for really fresh tasting seafood, it was worth it. The salmon I ate was really good. I wish it had better sides, but sense everything was fresh, the sides offered were all starches, Fries, a cold whole grain salad, potatoes, etc. I would have loved some broccoli or squash. I look forward to returning in the summer and having drinks there with friends."
