A word from Legal Sea Foods - King of Prussia
The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods – really fresh fish.
Legal Sea Foods is a Philly favorite. Surrounded by hotels and near both the Valley Forge Convention Center and Valley Forge National Historic Site, we are at a mall entrance on the upper level of the Court.

Guests get reeled in by our buzz-worthy lounge and comfortable dining room. Half-shell hedonists may sit at our 10-seat horse-shoe shaped oyster bar where slurping is encouraged.

Legal Sea Foods has long proven that a consistent, high quality dining experience never goes out of style. With over 40 varieties of fresh fish and shellfish available throughout the year as well as an award-winning wine list, there’s no doubt why legions of fans have fallen hook, line and sinker.

We’ve received a boatload of accolades including the honor of serving our legendary New England Clam Chowder at every presidential inauguration since 1981.

Took entire family and had a marvelous experience. Oysters were succulent, New England Clam Chowder authentic and well balanced, Tuna tartar heavenly, Seafood platter huge portion with whole belly clams (only way to do it) along with shrimp, whitefish, scallops, calamari, and French fries and slaw to round it out. Daughter's wood grilled fish was well infused and she loved it, youngest had the shrimp and garlic and she is the picky one but not at Legal, and wife had the seafood casserole which she left not a speck. No room for dessert but daughters looked at the menu and said next time they will leave room because it looked so yummy. Highly recommend; you will leave impressed. Our server was friendly & stayed on top of drink refresh.

Been to this restaurant several times-always great before. What happened? While appetizers were fine, seafood entrées like lobster and mussels were all overcooked. Lobster had the consistency of rubber. One of our party 's entire entree. (Lobster) was so overcooked it had to be sent back. Crab cake and filet were very good, but not good enough to make up for other issues. Service was a little slow , and occasionally gruff. Considering check for this meal was over $200, with one of the party not eating an entree as mentioned, I would hesitate to return anytime soon considering there other nice options in King of Prussia

As always Legal Sea Foods lives up to its reputation. We all had lobster rolls prepared as we ordered them - with a minimum of mayonnaise. Our server was lovely, accommodating although a little ditzy. When I eat here I know the fish and seafood are fresh and sustainable and the kitchen is glad to work with the clientele. No hassles.

Since it was my birthday and my family enjoys a variety of fish, I decided that I wanted to try Legal Seafood. I had not been there before and heard good things about the restaurant. We had a reservation and were immediately seated. A very nice waitress came over , took our drink orders and gave us time to decide what to eat. I knew right away that is would be a Caesar salad and LOBSTER! (I had looked at the menu on line.) We had a calamari appetizer which was delicious. My meal was very good as well. We ended the evening with chocolate covered bon-bons and a candle. A very happy evening!

Even though Legal Seafoods is a chain, they never fail to please me! Our waitress Danielle was so nice and accommodating. Although I was disappointed they were out of the dinner portion of salmon, she presented me all other salmon options on the menu. I wound up getting the swordfish and was not disappointed. You can go from simple seafood like fried clams and fries with chowder (my dad) or "adventurous" raw ahi tuna and then the cioppino. It is a place that pleases all ages and taste buds. The one in King of Prussia mall is never too busy, the booths are comfortable and the staff is accommodating. For a "mall restaurant" I am very impressed.

I took my mom out for her birthday. The only other time I had been to this restaurant was in Boston. Well completely different atmosphere as it looked out on the water. This restaurant at King of Prussia was nice, but I guess I was expecting a similar experience as I had had in Boston. The best part about the meal was the tuna appetizer that my boyfriend got. My mom and I got the scallops and they were a little dry. It would have been nicer if there were less of the scallops and that they were better cooked. The side dishes were nice. The shrimp that my stepfather got were quite good. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. My mom had ordered something incorrectly and no one was made uncomfortable by it.

As a transplanted New Englander, a visit to Legal Seafood has always been like returning to Boston. You can get things there that are simply not available at other "seafood" restaurants. The clam chowder is an example. It is made right! Fried seafood should be another example, but this visit was a uniformly disappointing experience. Calamari, fish and clams (3 separate dinners) all were dark brown, dry and clearly overcooked. This should have been stopped at the pass in the kitchen. Poor showing!

As repeat guests from out of state, we were looking forward to a quieter meal with portions that could have been a bit better sized. The salad was delicious as usual, clam chowder was great but the portion of scrod was as tasty as elsewhere. It has lost a bit of its uniqueness. The blackened salmon was saltier than blackened but the salsa helped disperse it. Our server spent quite a bit of time with the familiar table next to us and while polite to us, we felt ordinary which was disappointing.

I met a friend who had never been to Legal Seafood for dinner. Her salmon was perfectly prepared and my crab cake combo was delicious and ample. It had grilled shrimp and scallops with it. We shared a wine flight - what a nice way to try several wines. Overall great for us both and we will be back.

Dinner could not have been better. I made the reservation on line. We were seated immediately upon arrival. The food was absolutely great! The salads seemed as if they'd had just been picked. The fish was also fresh as could be and tasted great. My date remarked that the spinach was the best. And our waitress knew the menu and made excellent suggestions. She was very attentive and cared that we were happy. When she learned that it was my date's birthday but that we were going to have cake at home, the waitress brought special ice cream with a candle in the whipped cream. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

I like to dine at Legal Seafood when I'm on the East coast because I know I'll enjoy a meal that won't disappoint. This visit was consistent with previous visits. The fish, scallops and shrimp were fresh and the seasonings were all very tasty. The one disappointment was the advertised tomato and burrata special. The descriptions said the tomatoes were vine ripened, which was not the case and the mozzarella was buffalo mozzarella, not the nice creaminess of burrata. This won't deter me from returning, but disappointing nonetheless.

The service was excellent. The waiter was able to help with our selections and offered accompaniments to our meal including drink selections. The calamari appetizer was excellent as well as the drinks. My meal, the crab cakes, were burnt on the bottom and had to be returned. They replaced it with another with the bottom scraped off since it was obviously burnt and over cooked. My wife's meal was satisfactory but heavily seasoned. Felt it was overpriced for the level of quality served.

I had lunch with my two sisters at Legal Sea Foods. We are originally from the Boston area so were happy to see it expand to KOP. Two of us had the lobster special, over linguine, and my other sister had the salmon special. All were delicious, the lobster was great in a light sauce that complemented it well. We started with appetizers - calamari, shrimp and the popcorn shrimp. All good. The calamari was a large portion so I took most of it home for later. Really appreciated the gluten free items on the menu as one sister is gluten-intolerant. probably 40% of the menu is gluten free, lots of choices. Service was friendly, prompt, not intrusive. Would definitely go back again.

Legal Seafoods began in Boston and now has about 40 locations along the east coast of USA. Nice variety of fish and shell fish to fulfill most people's desire. Good for business entertaining to a special occasion. A little pricey, but worth the trip.

We have eaten dinner many time at Legal Sea Foods. This past time, a friend and I split the dinner, which was grilled scallops (pretty good) and grilled asparagus (about 8 pencil-sized, very skimpy spears - so we each had 4). Dinner wasn't bad, but dessert was seriously overpriced and misleading. I had ordered the "strawberry shortcake" for dessert, which was about $6.95. What I got was 2 slices of sort-of toasted pound cake, whipped cream, some kind of strawberry puree and about 2 slivers of strawberries. I ate some of it, but thought I should tell the manager how that was NOT strawberry shortcake and how overpriced it was. I have to say that even though she took it off our tab, she was less than gracious about the criticism.

We sat at a table in the back of the bar that was right over the loading dock area of the mall and our table seemed to shake and rattle with the opening of the dock doors so don't sit here.

We wanted to dine in the King of Prussia area. It was a last minute Father's Day and Birthday dinner and we decided to try Legal Sea Foods although we were hesitant and were not looking for pedestrian type food. Service was phenomenal, food was suprisingly delicious and fresh (we did not partake but the raw bar looked excellent) and all members of our party (from 25 to 85) very much enjoyed their meals. Food portions are so adequate that although dessert menu looked inviting, no one had any room. We will definitely visit again.
