My boyfriend and I come here very frequently because we really love the food.Lately I was diagnosed with a gluten allergy, and it made me love LSF all the more for their great options. However, service needs to be improved. Not once have we received good service here.Nearly every time the hosts ignore the comments for a GF menu, and the waitress is never aware, which leads to me being brought regular rolls. My biggest complaint is we always feel rushed. Each time our main course is brought out before we finish our appetizer or just as we finish. We have also had the waitress bring the check during our main course, assuming we don't want anything else.We pay very good money to eat here. For the two of us we always spend over $100 yet get poor service.

I have been to four different locations of legal seafood--the last one was Kendall Square which was excellent. The others (Prudential and Legacy Place) were very good. This was a stark contrast, largely because of the freshness of the fish. I had cioppino--the lobster tasted frozen and the broth was largely tasteless. Shrimp on two entrees were small and shriveled. Fried clams were greasy, as if they had sat under a heat lamp too long. At least the bread was good! All four of us agreed that our meals were nothing special. It was very busy which may offer some explanation--perhaps they wanted to get food out quickly without tasting it.

I went to this location last night and was very disappointed. My clams were overcooked. My wife's entrée was 40 minutes late. Service was horrendous. Our server forgot our bread, my drink, butter, water and put in the wrong order. She explained that they were very busy because the restaurant had a large group last night. Couple sitting next to us finally received their dinner just as we were leaving. Manager brought over the butter after my wife requested three times. I understand restaurants can get busy with large groups and can't service groups of two, but then they should close down for the night and focus on the large group. BTW the Clam Chowder was excellent. Unfortunately our experience was downhill from there.

Len was our server. In the beginning I thought maybe there was a disconnect, but I realize he pushes for strict professionalism. I thought it was notable when I asked for a spoon to twirl my pasta, and he brought it, holding it with a napkin. That was classy. The lemon sorbet and crab cake were outstanding- fave parts of the meal. My only complaint is for a 9pm reservation, it was DEAD, on a saturday evening. So weird to not see such a good restaurant JUMPING on a saturday evening!

We enjoyed wonderful service on a recent date night at Legal Sea Foods, Burlington. We aren't big drinkers, but there is a terrific selection of wines by the glass. We enjoyed a Sancerre and a Vouvray with main meals of Grilled Trout and Grilled Bluefish. Everything was perfect including sides of Jalapeño Polenta, Seaweed Salad, and Broccoli. Our spinach and artichoke dip appetizer left us no room for dessert but I was eyeing the Boston Cream Pie. We will be back!

Went to Legal Seafood for a business dinner. We got a quiet area back left so we could easily talk. Dinner was great and the service was even better. I would recommend Legal Seafood. Generally I would say the experience was outstanding but I reserve that for something truly unusual so I gave it a "very good".

For some reason, they didn't seem to have our reservation on their books even though I had a confirmationfrom Open Table. Luckily, it wasn't too crowded and they were able to accomodate us. We hadn't been there for a long time and I was pleasantly surprise at how good it was compare to our last visit. The service was excellent and the restaurant not too noisy.

We were seated promptly. Server was nice, game us a chance to decide on menu, we ordered a cesear salad and our entrees. We received our salad and within five minutes of getting salad- our entrees, did not have time to finish salad, as our meals were hot when they arrived, did not want them to go back to warmer. It was a rushed situation and we went away disappointed! Did not order dessert even though we usually do.

Yes, the seafood is always very good. But I have been vegetarian for several years now and was disappointed with their one vegetarian option. Wish they would put some more effort into that dish. I should have just ordered a bunch of side dishes. That might have been the tastier option. But the rest of my party loved their fish! Not of fan of their red sangria. I love sweet drinks, but this version was too sweet.

Legal Seafoods a great restaurant concept and many of their Boston area operations and concepts real gems. Having recently dined on the harborfront and oysteria was quite happy to have another great meal at the burlington location. Tend to forget about this location given mall location but having been there several times - the food quality and service is just as good as down town locations and don't have to have all the crowd and sometimes attitude that comes with it. It's great that the quality and attention to service is top notch - keep up the good work!

Yet another good meal at Legal's. I almost always get the same dishes just because I like the wood grilled scallops and jalepeno cheddar polenta so much. Minor complaints: I wish they'd bring back the old popcorn shrimp appetizer -- the new version is too cute by half. Also, I miss some of the old sides now that they've "reorganized" them. Still, these are minor points. Legal's remains a reliable favorite.

The 4 of us dined here Sat night. Food was inconsistent. My mom & I had grilled rainbow trout and they were overcooked. My dad had the crab cakes entree, and they were undercooked. However, my husband had salmon, and it was perfect. Service was so-so, which is unusual to be honest. Maybe he just had too many tables. As for the kitchen, maybe they had too many orders....

The food was good to excellent, the service from the seeting hostess to the waiter to the seeting manager was excellent, engaged, charming, and interesting. Problem: All the wait staff that I saw was white; all the "busboys" were African American or other minorities. In this day, this is unfathomable to me. A sad reminder of what once was and still is, at least apparently at Legal Seafoods.

I am originally from Worcester, having lived on West Coast 50 years, have missed the true taste of Lobster. How nice to re-experience the taste of truly fresh cold water lobster. Had the baked, stuffed lobster, brought back memories. My wife had the grilled trout, said it was the best she has ever had. Good Food, prepared with minimal touch, presented beautifully in a nice relaxed atmosphere. Who could ask for more?

Had some wonderful food at Legal Burlington last evening. Wellfleet and Duxbury oysters were fresh and as good as they get. Haddock main dish was simple and delicious. I had two appetizers as a main course: "smoke salmon served chilled with homemade toasted brioche" was exciting. Never had better. Unfortunately the steamers were rubbery and cool (overcooked?). Of most concern was not the service, but that all the employers seem to have been trained to make disingenuous comments. From our main waiter to those who dropped the food off to the visiting manager every comment suggested we had picked the best option or their favorite. Did someone read a statistical study that suggests that if they compliment the diner the diner will be happy?

After coming to Legal Seafood for 10 years, we were disppointed in some of the food. Clams had 2 bad ones in the dozen we ordered. Your manager kindly replaced three of them, and two of them were bad. Calimari was over cooked & fish cowder was just so-drove over 40 miles from NH to enjoy a birthday lunch. Disappointing at best. However, the surpise desert for the Birthday girl was grealty appreciated.

I ordered a special - chili glazed tilapia with asian salad and mango yogurt dressing. I received a piece of fish on a plate. I asked about the sides and the server quizzically brought it back to the kitchen. When it came back, the fish was laying on a wilted salad of iceberg lettuce. There were some tasteless crispy straws (no idea what they were) mounded on top. The waitress told me that the kitchen wasn't sure what the dish was supposed to look like. Aside from it looking unappetizing, there was no flavor to the entire dish. The tilapia was mushy, the chili glaze was bland, and I have no idea what was on the salad but it certainly had no Asian flavors to it. If you go, stick to the normal fare and avoid any specials.

So I was disappointed with our most recent visit to Legal's. While the food was good it wasn't outstanding - frankly, my husband can make better grilled shrimp at home. My son's fish and chips was solid but overall it felt like a very expensive lunch for the quality of what we were given. I honestly won't be rushing back...
