I ordered the seafood casserole. It came to the table with raw shrimp and fish. The top was not brown and the inside was cool. TWICE! The fish and shrimp were obviously raw! We have eaten here every year for football games but no more.

Really supports the tourist. This legal seafood does not compare to the Boston locations. The Atlanta location will survive with it location for tourist looking for something to eat. Local's have much better choices available. This is sad for me to say a since I am from Boaton and was excited to have a legal seafood open in Atlanta.

  • A Great Experience!
    OpenTable Diner Since 2008

We were celebrating a work promotion. We had dinner on the outdoor patio and the city was beautiful and vibrant that night. I had the grilled platter with the swordfish, tuna, salmon, shrimp and scallops, they were all grilled perfectly! I also fell head over heals with my sides, the roasted mushrooms were excellent, I love Legal Seafood!

We had a large group in town for a football game. All the food we ordered was among the best we had ever had for those items. I especially like the fresh hot bread, shrimp and scallops. The cole slaw was the best I have ever tasted. The margaritas and mojitos were absolutely fantastic!

The only reason I would not rate it 5 stars is because drinks are not inclusive in kids meals. Kids meals seem overpriced already and to not include the drink is ridiculous. Food quality (adult) was outstanding! Also I had a server that wasn't trained as well as the others or was having an off day.

Had a wonderful experience - the other guests provided insights as my friend and I were trying to decide on what we should order. Portions are generous - great presentation. If you're not a big eater - consider splitting an order. The braised greens were wonderful - I'd order this as a side again. Also had the spinach and it was ok nothing special like the braised greens. We ordered the Nutty Salmon - wonderful and must have again. Great presentation, loved the nuts on the salmon - would change out the spinach for braised greens in a hearbeat.

If the entire server staff was like the guy I had for my visit this place would be over the top special. Jeff, was well prepared with the entire menu. He was able to suggest, listen and come up with a full course meal from beginning to end even beverages. My wife and I were so impressed with him and all the information he shared, not to mention he had a great story to keep the mood light and enjoyable as we celebrated our 9th anniversary. We will return for future visits and try not to eat as much as we did, but the food was so awesome it's hard to hold back.

Service was good, although a bit slow, waiter had multiple tables seated at once and there didn't seem to be much of a 'team' serving concept. Appetizers were delicious, all 4 entrees were lukewarm at best. Wife's almond-crusted salmon was extremely dry and almost cold. Plates weren't even warm like it had sat in the serving window.

I had to stop the manager to get a drink because even though my server passed me many times, over 10 minute span, he said nothing. I of course asked to be moved and my new server (Laticia?) was much better. So if you want a chance at a great dining experience ask for her. The food was hit or miss. The bang bang cauliflower was awesome. The clam chowder was okay. Shrimp and grits were awesome. The fudge cake dessert was not good. It was cold which I complained about. I was told by my server it was not supposed to be but no effort was made to correct the dish that they served to me incorrectly. I paid for it even though she threw away 95% of it, no biggie. I definitely don't recommend this restaurant and I won't be returning.

This was my first visit, and I was very please. I made reservations for a party of 9 for a 50th birthday party. The staff was very accomodating, the food was excellent as was the ambience. The service was good but not great. However it was Restaurant Week and the restaurant was very busy. All of the staff were pleasant and very accomodating. They even took pics for my bday friend to remember the event. I would definitely recommend and return!

Legal Seafood wasn't all that I thought it would be. I went for lunch during restaurant week and was very excited! The food took a very long time to come out, which was frustrating since I was on my lunch break. The cauliflower appitizer was delicious and the salmon burger wasn't very tasty. Apparently, they were short staffed so the workers seemed a bit stressed.

We enjoyed the outdoor dining because we had great food and perfect weather for August. I had the house salad and fish and chips, which brought back memories of Legal Seafood in Boston. My friends had the seafood casserole, rich and creamy. Wayne was energetic and helpful. Everyone we met was pleasant and welcoming. We were there during Downtown Atlanta Restaurant Week and would come again. Particularly liked the validated parking! The only negative was the street noise from delivery trucks on the street below.

I went for Downtown Atlanta Restaurant Week 2014 for the first time. My server, Delta, was very attentive and provided me with wonderful customer service. Upon looking at the regular menu I decided to order from it. I was impressed with the food because it was challenging to find a good seafood restaurant in Atlanta. I loved grilled seafood and the shrimp and scallops were grilled to perfection. I was a little disappointment the meal I ordered did not come with sides (because I am a sides girl); it only came with a very small bed of lettuce, that was more like garnish than a salad- but it was fresh and the dressing was very good. The bread was to die for and it took everything in me not to ask for more. Looking forward to returning.

Great venue for outdoor seating on a nice day - great view. Seafood exceptionally fresh but not cooked well. Got the chef's choice wood grilled platter but the swordfish was not cooked through; was medium cooked in parts and the salmon was overcooked. Received a piece of fish that I couldn't identify and when I asked the waiter, Alex, what it was, he thought it was tuna - fish was definitely not tuna. The crab cakes, however, were exceptional - huge lump crap with virtually no filler. Nice hot rolls served with the meal. Try the premium side dish of corn with bacon, basil and pecorino - that is the one dish that I would return for. The clam chowder was delicious and prepared almost perfectly as well.

Food was excellent. We just wished we had the other waiter/server. He did a much better job with taking care of the guests at the table next to ours. He made helpful suggestions and substitutions for the dishes as the catfish was not available. Our server, she did the bare minimum. Being that it was our 1st experience with them, we would have rather had the other server to wait on us. Not-to-mention, it was my God mom's birthday. He would have been more accommodating.

Boyfriend’s birthday heard rave reviews but it miserably failed reputation. Booth was torn bulging & inside lining was dirty. An ABUNDANCE of small children that made ambience disruptive. Menu left a lot to be desired if u don’t want “sushi” offered an entrée w/a variety of seafood but it was all raw. Stated it was 1st dining experience & we were overdressed compared to crowd that looked as if they had just come from playing in the park, but no one inquired if we were celebrating anything. Cocktails are overpriced, tasteless, & lack the fair amount of alcohol that any first year bartender would serve. Overall I will only recommend this restaurant to someone that wants a nice view of Centennial Park when they take small children out to eat.
