Diner Reviews
  • "Food was good just like the ones up north I have had. Entrée came pretty late, guess it took them a while to find my 2.5lb lobster. Service was good as well. Took wife there for anniversary and we both left stuffed. Ordered the best items on menu plus 2 drinks a piece came out to about 170 bucks. not too bad for those big lobsters :)"

  • "Our server was just amazing. She made solid recommendations and really knew the menu. She was a fun part of the evening. The food did not disappoint, and everyone enjoyed their meal."

  • "We were a group of 6; 3 people in our group were celebrating Birthday's. The Restaurant does not offer anything for those celebrating a Birthday, that is awful at those prices. As you might imagine, our bill was over $300.00. Even Chili's offers a cupcake, ice cream or a sharable dessert. The food was very average. For those prices, I expected more. I would not return."

  • "I used Open Table to reserve a spot at Legal Seafood for a group of 7 adults/1 child. Our table was ready and waiting for us when we arrived for our 11:45am reservation. The server was attentive and the food was great, my child really enjoyed his meal which was plentiful from the kid's menu selection. The server even pleased us by snapping a wonderful group photo of us to celebrate a co-worker's retirement. The restaurant is within walking distance of our office so most likely we'll be back in the future. I actually drove in and parked at the hotel which houses Legal Seafood, after eating lunch my son and I were able to walk directly across the street to visit the Georgia Aquarium."

  • "I was very disappointed with my dining experience. This Legal Seafood is nothing like the Legal Seafood in Boston. The night we went, was relatively slow. The dining room had one table with a large party of 15, and 1 other table with two guest. Our server took 20 minutes bringing our cocktails to the table after we ordered them. Then it took him another 20 minutes to bring the bread, 20 more minutes to bring our appetizers and the worst of all was the rice that came with my entree was hard (which I had to send back), and the entree was Luke warm. The server also forgot that I asked for lemons, and extra napkins. Will never go to this Legal Seafood location again."

  • "Our dining experience at Legal Seafood was GREAT. Great environment, great service and great seafood. I wanted the experience to be special because we were celebrating my wife's birthday. And, to our satisfaction, it was special. Thanks Legal Seafood, we will return soon."

  • "We had a very fine meal and splurged on a bottle of nice wine ($42 a bottle) after discussing the wine list with our server. The wine we selected was brought to us and enjoyed by all at the table. However, when the bill arrived, the wine put on the bill was a completely different bottle at $59. My son who was dining with us has been a server in fine restaurants - he advised us the bill must have been changed after the wine was delivered because we were served with what we ordered, and that would have been in the computer originally. This discrepancy was brought to the attention of our server who apologized and changed the bill, but offered no explanation as to how it happened. So the lesson here is check your bill carefully."

  • "My experience at Legal Seafood was great. The server was very attentive as I mentioned to her my food allergy to lemons. Both her and the manager came to make sure everything was good as well as advising me about a change in my order as lemons were already added in the preparation of the dish. Great crowd, not a lot of noise and the ambience was good. Truly enjoyed ourselves."

  • "This is my 5th or so time dining at Legal Seafoods. My fiancé and I were celebrating the halfway point to our October wedding and I wanted to go somewhere nice but not too pricey (we are on a budget lol). Legal Sea Foods delivered! Food was tasty, drinks were good, service was excellent and what can beat the view of the downtown/Centennial Park/Aquarium area?! Of course booking a table on opentable app was a breeze and we requested a seat closer to the window and they delivered!"

  • "We eaten at Legal for a long time - a regular stop in Boston and have made a point of periodically eating at this one in downtown Atlanta. The food was not up to usual standards and the matre'd did not seat us but left us at the bar for an hour even though we had reservations. Someone from corporate needs to do an internal review and make some improvements!"

  • "All the food was good but the service was really excellent. The entire family had great fun. I have been to Legal Seafoods in Cambridge MA on numerous occasions and this is probably better."

  • "I've eaten in Legal Seafood in several cities over the years and this was probably the best food/experience so far. I took my kids before we went to the Auto Show at the World Congress Center as it was only a few blocks walk. Also, parking was easy at the Hilton on the same block."

  • "First, the good - the food was wonderful. We started with the hot crab dip; highly recommended. For dinner, my wife had the crab cake combo, which was excellent (except for the shrimp; just okay). I had grilled mahi mahi with sides of cheese grits and seaweed salad, all of which were excellent. The down side was the service - slow, forgetful. Asked for unsweetened iced tea twice. Asked for rolls twice (which never arrived). Asked for a second glass of wine, which did not arrive until after our meal was complete. I would recommend for the food, but be wary of service."

  • "I heard alot of good thing's about this place and decided to try it my self. I went there for lunch and ordered a bowl of the New England Clam Chowder soup and a Lobster Roll and both were very good and the service was really good as well."

  • "Everyone knows you you do not send food back when eating with a group but what to do with an uncooked crabcake. Julie mentioned "yours does not look like mine" as in not even lightly browned. Yes our waiter took it back and 20 minutes later brought it back but the rest of the table were looking for dessert menues by then. The only apology received was that my crabcake had not been sered at the "0pportune time" I doubt we will go back."

  • "Had lunch here the other day with a client and the fold was very good. Beautiful light comes in the windows. The energy is very happy and relaxed. Not too stuffy. Felt a bit rushed to order but we were talking for a long time. I would comfortably recommend this place for a great place to eat for lunch."

  • "The clam chowder was perfect and the crab cakes are wonderful. They have a very good selection of wine which was very important as our client is a wine lover. The level of service was top notch. I should have written down our waitrers name as he was excellent and very knowledgeable."

  • "My husband and I enjoyed this restaurant. The spicy calamari was so of the best I have tasted. I had the baked stuffed lobster which was mostly good. There were too many large pieces of cracker just sitting on top which weren't mixed in well as a stuffing but the lobster meat was cooked well and flavorful. My husband had the seafood bake which was tasty. The sides we had did leave a little to be desired though. The cheese grits were too thick and dry and the mushrooms were in need of seasoning. Overall we liked the food and atmosphere and would visit this restaurant again."

  • "I was totally impressed with the beautiful hostess who received us as we walked into Legal Sea foods in Atlanta. From her smile to her warm welcome made me glad to dine at Legal Sea Foods for the first time. The food was delicious and absolutely filling. The waitress was kind to replace a bowl of hot chowder as my friend had to step out for a few seconds and his soup had gotten cold. I do have a suggestion. I think it would have been helpful for the waitress to check on re-filling the drinks at our table. I cannot wait to re-visit. Overall, I enjoyed it very much!"

  • "Food was delicious. Best seafood in Atlanta. Service was good. None seafood options were less than expected but enough to accommodate a large party with diverse requests."

  • "Made reservation through open table, we were greated warmly and taken to our seats immediately. Our server was friendly and made a couple of suggestions, appitizer and drinks (wine and beer), which were spot on. Food was great and recommend for a special occasion, business get together."

  • "We were seated promptly which was great. The food was ok. There was nothing exceptional about the lobster or steak. In fact the lobster was a bit chewy and the steak a bit salty. But given that it was an anniversary dinner with special friends the view and ambiance was quite nice. The waitress couldn't seem to get the whole order correct or out out on time."

  • "My husband and I ordered the crab cakes which were very good; however we were shocked at the tiny salad which accompanied the meal. It almost looked like a joke; the amount one would give a toddler who was just starting to eat salads. Our daughter had salmon which she said was good but one of her vegetable choices was broccoli and it was plain no seasoning and cold. Her sautéed mushrooms were good. As to the complimentary salad, with the crab cakes, it would have been better to just tell us that veggies were a la carte as opposed to that sad side salad. Overall not the outstanding dining experience we expected."

  • "First off I waited at the hostess stand for at least 2 minutes before I was even adressed which I thought was very rude. We were then sat by a group that consisted of two couples and they were VERY loud...I couldn't even hear what people at my table were saying at some point. I ordered the scallops which were overcooked and seemed like they had been sitting for a while before they were brought to the table. One person in my party sent their food back because they didn't like it but the manager was very apologetic and asked if they wanted to order something else. When it was time to leave and I had to get my ticket stamped the hostess told me that she didn't know where they manager was to get it validated and that I needed to go downstairs."

  • "I have stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn that adjoins the Atlanta Legal Seafood many times to have the convenience of the location of the hotel and restaurant. I don't think I will go out of my way for either again. I thought the service was spotty and indifferent and the usually excellent food to be just so-so this time."
    Dined on 3/8/2014
  • "Unfortunately our experience was just ok the noise level was off the charts, not a good place for a date night. The waitress was very distracted and knew little about the menu. The cocktails were good I suspect this place has become a victim of its own success and is more interested in filling seats than creating a good customer experience. in future I recommend they not seat couples next to large groups guaranteed bad customer experience."

  • "Read all of the great reviews for this place; was looking forward to treating ourselves to a rare date night w/o the kids. NONE of our food was hot enough, beginning with the calamari that was not crispy & served at room temp. Sent it back & ordered the clam chowder it was not even as good as Campbells canned soup, had no seasoning. The $15 crab cake appetizer was good but again barely warm enough to enjoy. Entree 1 was a whole room temp lobster (brought with no cracker) that came with 2 sides, one of which was an extremely over dressed salad and mashed pototatoes that the server never brought. 4 horribly overcooked/blackened/burned shrimp added for an exra $10. Too $$$ for the poor quality food ($145 for 2)Wont even give this a 2nd chance"
