The appetizer sampler is great mix of their best. The seared tuna was my favorite while my companion enjoyed the crab cakes. We also indulged in a dozen raw oysters. My friend and I both are oyster fans and agreed these were the best we have ever had. No exaggeration here. They were clean and crisp, salty just the right amount, incredibly fresh tasting. Very impressive. We ordered the lobster and the grilled fish special. Both were thoroughly enjoyable. I will be back for sure and my companion said he is going to add Legal to his list of regular spots to take clients. Service was excellent, too. One of us had Arctic Char wood grilled and the other sea bass baked. Both were perfectly done and a treat. The sides were also just right. If you want breaded crustaceans or other breaded things from the sea the place is OK but not as elegantly cooked as fish. Breaded anything cooked in boiling oil is pretty much the same anywhere as far as I am concerned. I had the seafood casserole and my son had stuff shrimp. The food was very good. Maynard was our waiter. This man was great. He had personality and was on time with everything from the appetizer through dessert. He even promised us the Capitals would win, which they did.

Chowder: Delicious! I mean seriously awesome and I'm a New Englander so I know my chowdahs. It's pretty filling, too. Next time (when my boss isn't paying!)
