Legal Harborside – Floor 2 Dining RoomNot just for lawyersSometimes you walk away from a pricey restaurant feeling it just wasn't worth the money. This is not one of those places. The second floor dining room has a bright, modern ambiance that feels rich without being ponderous. The view of the harbor towards Logan is interesting and especially enjoyable at night. Wait staff are attentive and pleasant. The food was absolutely splendid. Portions are sufficient to satisfy a hearty appetite without being excessive. First though, Sword Fish Steak with bone was out of this world as was the special Lobster Pasta dish!
Special Salad was also Great. I had my usual Abalone and here was the slight problem, it was not as it usually was. It was just
a little over cooked with too much butter sauce that took away from the taste of the Abalone.
Otherwise all else was great as usual including the wine selection and the dessert!

Even recognized the party was for my graduation and wrote a beautiful "Congratulations" note on my desert dish. Food was exceptional and reasonably sized, not too small like other fine dining restaurants. Menu had enough options to choose from and not too many to overwhelm. Did not know alot of the items and had to look them up but that did not deter. Drink and wine menu was inventive and has something for everyone. I have a suggestion for the 3rd. Floor about the music is very loud and it feels like more for teen agers music you could use little mix of such as Buddha bar or cafe delmar music. We asked for fruity white wine and he brought us some without us having to look through the menu and it was right on the money. We started with the lobster soup which is magnificent and then moved to the local fish which was also delicious. The smoked lobster was delicious - although a bit pricey for the amount of lobster.
Two comments:
1. Food could have been hotter - both appetizer and main dishes were lukewarm
2. I added comment in Open Table that it was my wife's birthday. I reminded the restaurant when I confirmed the reservation the day before. Our desserts came without a candle on the cake (even though the Maitre D said "happy birthday" to my wife when we arrived - worse was that right after her dessert came, at another table, a dessert came with a candle. Wine list is very detailed with many choices. Only downsides were no raw bar menu (aside from oysters on the 1/2, which were fabulous), and waitress insisted on ordering our entire meal all at once.
