  • "Although it seems a little out of the way, Lefty's is always busy, always great food. Their lobster dinners are fresh and so tasty. The stuffed baked shrimp is a real treat. The fresh baked bread and salads were good starters. And the coconut cream pie...yum! We tried the peach pie for the first time and it was excellent. Fun place!"

  • "My wife and I were celebrating our 40th anniversary . We had a large table and away from front door. The service was excellent and the food delicious . We like this place very much as it's an older crowd , not many children dining. It is very hard today to find any restaurant that you can a romantic dinner. My only suggestion is that the music could be turned down alittle. Many of the diners came by to wish us a happy anniversary. How nice!!!"

  • "Food was outstanding - oysters fresh, briny and cold. Had a nice filet of sea bass, flaky and well prepared with king crab and a white wine sauce. On the downside, arrived at 6pm and service dropped off completely when what seemed to be a bombardment of patrons by 7pm - which only supports my review of the food. Nevertheless, was willing to wait for the check after that meal. Want a Northeast seafood experience in Dallas? it's the closest you'll get to a Boston favorite without having to park at DFW."

  • "Food is cooked perfectly and with care. Fresh Seafood is Key. Chef Specials are always unique and spot on with creativity and flavor. Relaxed atmosphere where you can feel comfortable in shorts and t-shirt or go decked out for a boating trip. Service is excellent from caring staff that knows the food. Excellent place for a New England style Seafood Fix, but they also know their way around Gulf and Pacific Seafood specials as well. Enjoy!!"

  • "Lefty's was ok, however, there are much better places to have sea food in Dallas. The ambience was dated, the food was acceptable i.e. the steamed claims had an excellent broth but the bread was meh reducing the whole experience. The sauce on my fish entre was delish but the fish itself was not as described in the menu (deep fried, not pan fried) and only fair on its own. Overall, not somewhere I will be returning to."

  • "When we have a need for a lobster evening, Lefty's is the place of choice. I have never ordered anything other than lobster, although the orders of other diners looks great. At 7 PM on Friday evening the place is chaotic- (We had to wait 30 minutes after our reservation time to get a table) and the noise level was very high. However, the meal was great, the service was satisfactory and we will go again."

Greeted warmly by manger and seated immediately even though the rest of our party straggled in for the next 30 minutes. four of us ordered the Clam Bake which was fabulous. My son raved about the Mahi-Mahi. Service impeccable by Kerri. Can't wait to go back!"

  • "I love seafood, but am newer to lobster, so I was intrigued and excited about eating here. Sadly, I was disappointed. The menu is limited, especially for side items. Even as a newbie, I could tell that it was overcooked as the meat (especially the tail) was the tough and chewy. The baked potato was overcooked and dry, and didn't even come with butter or toppings. I chose broccoli for my side, which was well steamed, but had absolutely no seasoning whatsoever and my portion was nowhere near an appropriate size. For 3 adults, our our bill was well over $100, which I feel was overpriced for the lack of quality. They allow smoking in the restaurant, which is unappetizing. I would rather pay a little more for a higher caliber dinner."

  • " Lefty's"seaside" theme seems a bit out of place in Addison but the menu items are reminiscent of shore dinners on the East coast. Lefty's has an enthusiastic following --prob because of its 1-claw (inexpensive) lobster. The seafood is always fresh and well prepared--if a little on the unimaginative side. Standard preparations of lobster, shrimp and fish (snapper etc.) are what's on offer. Dinner salad is fresh and crisp. I've tried the key lime pie which was OK but not spectacular. Minor point --but it would be nice if the corn on the cob came with little fork things to make it easier and less messy to eat."

  • "Leftys is very good spot in this area! It's not fancy...it's comfortable,welcoming, and clean. The caesar salad was one of the best I've had in a long time, and the fried shrimp were perfect! My only complaint is that the baked potato is often only warm, and not steaming hot, as I would prefer. But aside from that, this place won't disappoint!"

  • "Introduced newly relocated friends to dinner here on Friday night with 8:15 reservation. Seated immediately by host owner at window table. Fabulous waitress responded to out every request. Beautiful salads, lucious clam chowder, amazing bread, etc. friends ordered trout and chicken with pasta and were very pleased. My lobster was as fresh and succulent as I've ever had. Check was just under $100 for the three of us including cocktails. Very reasonable and enjoyable evening. Food and service Five Star +!"

  • "Wonderful food and great service in a very relaxed, casual environment. My husband and I both had dishes off of their specials menu and we were both extremely impressed. It is a small restaurant but they accommodated a large group (about 15 - 20 people) quite easily. There were a couple of families and I noticed the waiters engaged both the parents and the kids in what they wanted to eat, described the dishes, etc. I liked the fact they have a wine menu as part of the regular menu plus additional wines by both the glass and the bottle on the specials menu. Plenty of choices across a wide range of prices but not so many choices you would get confused."

  • "We went on mother's day for dinner. The place was full but we were severed on time for our reservation and the service was great. The food was outstanding as it always is. The owner was there walking around, we talked to our server and he was actually the first server hired over 18 years ago go so that should tell you something about the quality and service you get. This place is one of our top places for great seafood. "

I had the lobster boil with mussels, clams, potatoes and corn and my wife had Bronzino with lobster and a Berre blanc sauce. Both were fantastic! Next time you want something new, give this little place a try....bet you'll like it. "

  • "Have been to Lefty's so many times......it is always outstanding. This time however I just can't say that. It was not very busy so we should have had great service and an outstanding meal. We always order filet and lobster (normally lobster melts in your mouth). It took forever to get our appetizers and drinks and the server kept forgetting things. Filets and Lobster Tails were so overcooked! We asked for Medium Rare. Both were dry and overcooked. $90 for an entrée it should be perfect! We were celebrating a special occasion so I didn't make a fuss. I am not sure if there is a new chef but I won't be going back for awhile."

  • "The restaurant is situated in the back corner of a shopping center and is difficult to see from the street but you don't want to miss Lefty's. We arrived at 8pm on a Monday and the tables were about half full but the bar was very active. We were met with a friendly greeting and promptly seated. The server quickly appeared and was friendly and attentive during our meal. The food was very good although the lobster was a bit overcooked but still tasty. The roasted new potatoes were scrumptious. The menu is extensive and varied and the specials sounded very good (we came for lobster and didn't sample the specials). I will return to Lefty's and would recommend it to my closest friends."

  • "Found this place last minute as a last minute pick for a birthday. Made reservations and when we got there the outside was under construction but was still packed. A well dressed man asked the usual hostice questions, but we weren't even sure he worked there, and he did work there. Our table was ready when we got there which was nice given it was a Friday night. Waiter was very helpful, though he didn't always realize when we had questions, he did the 2nd or third time. Helped us not make a fool of ourselves with the lobster and picked an item on the menu that was amazing since I couldn't decide. Would recommend and would go again. Only problem real problem, the noise level made conversations and the waiter interactions difficult."
