Left BankHits the Sweet SpotI love this restaurant. It hits that so-hard-to-find sweet spot between fancy and casual, expensive and cheap, neighborhood and destination, hip and adult. And the cooking is first rate. Try the roasted chicken--always both crisp and juicy, served with a delicious risotto cake. The bavette steak is also perfectly cooked and comes with irresistible crunchy potatoes. The Mongolian dumplings were popular at our table, too.6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMA little surpriseWe arrived for a pre-theater dinner to find a Happy Hour Special of appetizer and pasta of one's choice for $20. The amount of food was more than adequate. The food itself was excellent with tasty salads, fabulous dumplings and pate. The pastas were unique and very flavorful (I personally loved the soft shell crab pasta). Service was quick, attentive and friendly. I have already recommended this restaurant to family.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat eveningI had friends in from out of state and wanted to take them to a nice village restaurant. It's beautifully designed, comfortable, and the service is always perfect and unobtrusive. The menu changes regularly and is always interesting. We haven't had a less than excellent meal yet. We've brought lots of friends, who have also become big fans. One of our favorite places. I eat plenty of wonderful meals but rarely one that really gives me the wow factor. My meal Friday was awesome! I had the cheese curd cappelletti that was incredible and the monkfish my girlfriend ordered was cooked perfectly. My server Michael was very helpful in recommending these entrees along with the grilled polenta appetizer, and he provided exceptional service throughout the meal. This was my first time to visit Left Bank and I am looking forward to my next visit.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMSmall but varied menu choices.Small but varied menu choices.
