Leek American BistroWe would go back - recommendedWe ate around 6 PM on a Saturday. It was not crowded. Menu is a bit limited but everything was delicious and came to the table hot. The service was somewhat indifferent, but we were able to flag down our waiter easily. Prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. Try the scallops and the shrimp dish. Skip the burger.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experience. We thoroughly enjoyed Leek. The restaurant is beautiful. The food is creative and delicious. And, the service is attentive but not overwhelming. My only complaint is that the wine list needs sme attention ... Help. The chef has gone through the trouble of suggesting wine pairings or the dishes, but the suggestions are not on the menu. With that said, the wines that appear on the menu are reasonably marked-up given their wine shop price.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMBoth the food and the serviceBoth the food and the service were terrific, and we will definitely go back.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyable Leek Bistro in BallstonInteresting flavor combinations came off very well in most of the dishes we tried. Every dish had some interesting flavor or texture twist to it. The wait staff were extremely nice and responsive. Parking is tough in the Ballston area at dinner time, but do NOT park in the lot between Gold's Gym and the bike store--you WILL get towed! It was quiet and had plenty of space between tables, so it is a great place to have a nice meal and chat with your companion(s) at the same time.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was fresh, deliciousThe food was fresh, delicious and nicely plated. Service excellent. We had the specials:braised lamb shank which was served on yummy mashed potatoes and veggies and lobster ravioli that had a wonderful creamy sauce. The menu has selections for everyone. Really good food in an area that has been in need of decent dining options.Nice beer and wine selection. Top notch food and drink in a laid back, beautiful atmosphere. The bar is cool, made of old barn wood. A wonderful addition to Arlington dining. Worth a walk, metro or car ride. We'll be back for brunch soon. MS4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMUn-discovered GemWe chose Leak for a group of 8 (4 adults and 4 kids 11-6 year old) after not being able to get a reservation at Rustico. I called ahead to see if they had a kids menu. They do not, but were more than accommodating to make Shirley Temple's, buttered noodles and grilled cheese. For the adults the food was fantastic. I recommend the Falafel Salmon. We sat for 2 1/2 hours and had a lovely time. This restaurant needs to be discovered. Do not be deceived by the sign out front. We all thought it was another Thai restaurant. It is American with Low Country flare.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMI have been to this restaurantI have been to this restaurant for lunch twice in the last few weeks and both times was sad to see that there were so few patrons. It really is a perfect restaurant for Arlington and I hope more people find it soon so it can stay in business. It is a nice (but not pricey) white table restaurant; modern (but not cold) decor, and everything--even the china (the coffee cups are particularly large--is well designed. The grilled salmon salad is a great lunch, quite well done with couscous and spinach, and at only $10 is a perfect serving. We'll have to go back at night to see what that is like.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMA very pleasant spot for brunch.A very pleasant spot for brunch. The usual Ballston restaurants are noisy and crowded. Leek has a great selection on its brunch menu. The scones and muffins with lemon curd and apple jam were a lovely surprise.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AM
