  • "Went to Lee recently for my birthday, and was upgraded to the semi-private dining room free of charge. Our server was very knowledgeable and made great recommendations. All of the dishes were very flavourful and beautifully presented. A few were spicier than expected which was not specified on the menu. The room was a bit cold, but it was much quieter than the front dining room. We were stuffed by the end of the meal and decided against dessert. However they still surprised me with a sweet plate that had happy birthday written in chocolate and flower petal decorations. That definitely made my night more special. I will definitely be back to try the other dishes, and would highly recommend this establishment to all my friends in the future."

  • "Food at Lee was wonderful. Imaginative, full of depth of flavour and simply in a category of its own. We loved the slaw, and quinoa/mushroom risotto, as well as the blackened cod. The drinks did not match the food and were overpriced. The wines were superb. The servers were professional and competent, but we felt as if they were working from a badly written script. They were patronizing (ensuring we do things on time, rather than having a great experience), offering unnecessary information (telling a vegetarian that a dish is gluten free is nonsensical - many vegetarians eat high gluten diets as it is high in protein), and not offering important information (about size of dishes) is unfortunate. It turns perfect evening into less pleasant."

  • "We had the 7 course tasting menu with wine pairing. The service was well timed and wine went well with the dishes. The slaw was outstanding. The scallop and shrimp dish was amazing. The black cod was melt in your mouth. Very nice was the fact the chef came out and wished my husband a happy birthday and chatted about the food."

  • "The only thing wrong with the menu at LEE is trying to choose! Chef LEE offers the most creative dishes with brilliant flavour combinations. A party of 2 should choose 3-4 items for sharing. Reasonable prices and substantial proportions with an excellent selection of good wines by the glass, a rare bonus. We were glad to have an early seating - it got a little zooey at 8:30 when most of the tables turn-over. Servers were extremely polite, knowledgeable and attentive right up until it was jam-packed with an indoor line-up. Can't wait to go back for more lamb, duck and the out of this world slaw!"

  • "Food was out of this World! Staff was very knowledgeable & fantastic. Noisy restaurant but where we were by the kitchen (table 15), the noise was greatly reduced. Entrance was tight, no room to move for those entering & leaving. Reservation process felt a little unwelcoming - was told about 15 min hold on table & have to leave when 2 hours are up 3 different times. All was forgiven once we met our terrific waiter & we tried the slaw."

  • "I traveled from London On for my birthday to lees.They recommened you share your dishes,then don't give big enough portions to share.The shrimp was over cooked a lot,we should have sent it back.The cod was cooked to perfection and the braised beef was tender and tasty."

  • "Heard great things about the food and we weren't disappointed. The only down side was that we were a bit rushed. The main courses came before the appetizers were finished. The hurry didn't end there, we had barely ordered our after dinner coffees and the cheque was plopped on the table and finally, the "hostess" came over moments after the cheque and "offered" to get our coats from the coat check (we hadn't even put the credit card away). If that doesn't say "you're done, now get out" I don't know what would."

They are currently renovating the main restaurant so we can't wait to come back to see what it looks like. We ordered the slaw with tuna (an absolute must), the green curry chicken, shrimp, and shared a dessert that was a special for the night. Everything was amazing."

Service was poor throughout, was brought two courses at the same time, and both were left on the table for 5 minutes before we were actually given plates to eat the food. Refused to honour gift card claiming it had been bought when the restaurant was Susur, even though it bore the current restaurant logo, and the same address. We've been assured the card was bought at Lee, after Susur had closed, but as it was a gift I have no real proof."

  • "I left Lee feeling a little dissapointed and empty. We had the slaw, green curry chicken and braised beef. All were good, but nothing was memorable. The slaw is packed with flavour, but its not too far from something I've experienced in a lower end Thai restaurant. As for the braised beef, this dish's preperation can be found in just about any other new age restaurant. The green curry chicken combination was something unique, but I fell short on the heat and or spices. If you've grown up eating asian food, I'd lower your expectations. Else, I'd recommended it to everyone else."

  • "Me and my husband came here to celebrate Valentine's Day. I'd have to say that this is was one of the best Valentines experiences that we had. Our past Valentine's dates, either the service was too slow or they forgot to punch in some orders at another restaurant. Anyways, back to why I was here. At Lee, you are greeted with very friendly hostesses at the door. We came pretty early but they were still able to escort us to our table. Our server recommended the Singapore Slaw but we did not end up trying it because we felt very full. Oh well! Next time! The food itself is so flavorful, and even if it looked like such a small portion, it was very filling. I really liked how the server described the items after placing them on the table."

  • "The jerk pork ribs were outstanding. One of the best dishes I've ever eaten. We went during winterlicios so limited menu but I have been a few times. The slaw as a starter is one of the signature dishes. A must get. Nice rooms, big windows onto King Street. Would be great for a group or just for 2. Susur Lee is truly a great chef."
