  • "A group of six of us attended this restaurant for a co-worker's farewell lunch party. We had no issues with our reservation and service was quick and friendly. I had eaten at this restaurant on multiple occasions in the past with my husband, with friends, for lunch and dinner and the service and food has consistently been excellent. I would highly recommend."

  • "I say surprisingly good because the tavern is located next to a bunch of mediocre restaurants at best. I was expecting this one to be mediocre too but instead I found a wonderful array of truly authentic Lebanese dishes served by people who are passionate about their food and their craft. I was ready to go back the following night. I would absolutely recommend this place!"

  • "It's authentic food and close to what you could expect from a homemade Lebanese meal. Highly recommend!"

  • "I thought the food in this Lebanese restaurant is fairly authentic (unfortunately, bread has been adapted to popular tastes and does not taste authentic anymore) - this place is good for groups because one could order a mezza for the appropriate number of people - there is a good variety of vegetable and traditional meat dishes."

  • "The Lebanese Taverna always has very flavorful, delicious food! And it's high quality, too."

  • "A great local restaurant. The staff is attentive and very friendly."

  • "This restaurant has a variety of authentic lebanese dishes for most palates (omnivores, pescetarians, vegetarians) with a nice wine list. On a tuesday night, it was hopping so I was glad I made a reservation. The service was impeccable and the manager and staff were very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this restaurant highly."

  • "We made reservations for 7:00 coming from an hour away and were told we had a 15 minute wait. No problem....but then they tried to seat us at the bar after the 15 minutes (instead of in the restaurant)....it was as if our reservation was completely ignored. Fortunately the manager intervened and they quickly remedied and also brought us some complimentary hummus (which was superb). The meal was great, (the bread is fabulous , and while the wheat bread is healthier, go ahead and indulge on the white bread with the hummus or baba gannoush -it's that much better). You will leave Lebanese Taverna full and likely with a to go container as the portions are ample."

  • "Lebanese Taverna never disappoints but we went at 6:30, a relatively early dinner, and it was baby land. Almost every table had children, we didn't, so it was a little jarring at times with the occasional screech. I've been for later seatings and that has not been the case, so lesson learned. Otherwise fabulous meal, great service!"

  • "We got a sampler appetizer that gave us a little taste of many items and all were tasty. The entrees of lamb shank and lamb kabobs were both cooked to perfection. Excellent service and the manager checked in to see how everything was tasting. Lovely evening."

  • "I love this place. It's right below my apartment with great food."

  • "Wonderful relaxed atmosphere, superb service, convenient for business meetings & work lunches or dinners. Great Lebanese / Middle Eastern style food, exactly as advertised. Strongly recommend and I'll go back!"

  • "We went with a group of 7 and had the family style meal. The appetizers were quite good. The grilled and rotisserie meats were solid offerings but nothing special. I would stick to the entrees."

  • "The food is not what it was a few years ago, or maybe I'm just a food snob. The spices weren't balanced right and the food was just ok. The lamb meat skewer had some pieces medium rare and some medium well. Nothing special. The server was very knowledgeable and accomodating for a food allergy. The restaurant was a bit noisy."

  • "Nice menu with authentic flavor....chicken shawarma salad was tasty but I was disappointed by the dryness of the chicken ...my colleague ordered the chicken kabob with rice. Said the chicken was perfectly done. Price point great for lunch. Can get a quality meal for under $20/person. Noise level was moderate. Able to conduct business without yelling across the table. Nice decor too for a comfortable dining experience. Be careful not to fill up on the fresh pita served with every meal..."

  • "I love this place, and try to get here at least twice a year when I travel to DC on business. I went to dinner here with friends. Our table was ready, the staff was very friendly, and dinner was great. Overall a great experience. The restaurant has a very friendly, accommodating staff that goes out of its way to make you feel welcome and to have a great dining experience."

  • "It is rare that you can go to a restaurant for 25 years and the quality of the food never ever goes down! I will continue to go here for another 25 years!"

  • "my wife is of arabic descent and has always cooked her own authentic mid eastern food. we have not until now found any place even remotely close to what she would refer to as good. lebanese taverna impressed her beyond her expectations. finally somewhere i can take my wife for a home cooked meal she doesn't have to cook! they took great care to make sure every need was met, the service was impeccable."

  • "We've been to other locations but this was our first visit to the Pentagon Row location. Never again. Service was awful. We sat for nearly 15 minutes after being seated in a half empty restaurant with no greeting, taking a drink order or anything. Our appetizers were delivered at the same time as our entrees, without explanation. My chicken was so dry I could only eat it with a quick beverage to wash it down. There's more, but you get the idea."

  • "I used to really love this place, but I was disappointed overall with my experience this last go around. The service was adequate. It took 15 minutes for anyone to ask me about a drink and the waiter, while pleasant, was awfully disruptive and at several points throughout the meal. The food was nothing too terribly special. We chose a few small plates and neither of us finished the food. The best part of the meal was the hummus. Perhaps my experience this last time is not indicative of the entire chain and it certainly could have been the night, but I would only recommend this place if other choices were not available."

  • "Lebanese Taverna is our favorite spot when we come to the DC area. Food is always fresh and excellently prepared. This visit was with a Lebanese friend who gave the food top marks. The staff is so welcoming and friendly. Thanks for asking,"

  • "Thankfully I have dined at the Lebanese Taverna numerous times prior so I will go back for the food alone but had this lunch been my first time I would have been sorely disappointed and not returned. The waitress who was helping us had a terrible attitude and it turned out we were chasing her down trying to place our orders while she flitted around the restaurant doing everything she could to avoid our table. We did have a diner that was late and we were trying to hold off on ordering our entrees until they arrived however we attempted to order appetizers a few times and she kept walking away from the and chased her down to place an order for something. We will return at some point and cross our fingers that she will not be helping us."

  • "I booked a table on NYE and payed 75 bucks per person (exl. service and tax). We ended up paying a total of 205 bucks for 2 persons on NYE (incl. additional tip) and got as much food as we wanted all night! The food was very good, especially the desserts. We also got a bottle of champaign and at 11:30 pm they handed us cute NYE accessoires to celebrate. They had a DJ and nice belly dance as well. I can recommend it if you want a nice comfy NYE celebration (you can bring your kids too!)"

  • "Our reservation was for 9:30 p.m. We stayed until 12:30 a.m. The celebration included unlimited Mezza (delicious) and a bottle of champagne (also delicious...a nice Cava), We were entertained by a talented and artistic belly dancer. Service was impeccable. We have dined there before, usually for lunch. The food is always great."

  • "Taverna consistently delivers outstanding food. We had the lamb shanks and they were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The best lamb ever! Service was top notch."

  • "We are regulars at lebanese Taverna in Bethesda and decided to try Pentagon City to meet friends. The address of Joyce St is not on Joyce, but hidden offce Joyce a block away. We finally parked in a garage and walked until someone on the street directed us. When we finally walked in and I told the hostess how difficult it is to find the restAurant she answered " Ys, we get that all the time". It gave us a bad start to the evening, and we won't return to Pentagon City."

  • "My group chose this place because 1 of us is a vegan. They had many options for him, as well as options that I could choose from (aka meat). Get the Arabic Tea. So good!"

  • "There are a lot of restaurants in this area, but Lebanese Taverna is by far my favorite. The staff provides excellent service and the food is unmatched. The owner is very proactive in making sure your experience is wonderful (this being my third visit, I can say he has come by my table all 3 times). I highly recommend this restaurant for all occasions."

  • "Overall very good food, but a bit pricey. Food is good and the server was excellent. I was with a group of folks and they couldn't or wouldn't do separate checks for us. That was a major pain. I"
