  • "Boyfriend is gluten free so it was great that they had options for him! Food and service were both awesome."

  • "The past few times, asked for whole wheat bread and was told they don't have since the machine is broken and they haven't bothered t fix it."

  • " Scarce was the valet parking, had to go to another restaurant up the street. Very few people there around 3:30pm. There is no excuse to paper trash to be scattered on the carpet when the place was nearly empty. How many times had the wait staff walked past the trash? Food was good generally. Bread that came with hummus was burned and dried out quickly. Service slow."

  • "I thought is was only fair. The main dining room was loud and disorganized-"

  • "Great hummus and grape leaves! I've been here about a dozen times and never been disappointed. Service could have been a little better but it wasn't awful."

  • "Their pita accompanied by olive oil with herbs and seeds is special. My partner enjoyed the chicken schwarma and I had the chef's platter which gave me a taste of many things. The labneh (Lebanese yogurt) is to die for. I loved everything on the platter. The hostess steered us to a table in the bar because there were several large parties due in the restaurant. Our waitress checked on us frequently and the food came promptly. All in all a very enjoyable dinner."

  • "My first time at this restaurant and it was restaurant week. Great deal! Offered a variety of food, including vegetarian and gluten free options. Honey ice cream, baklava, and Turkish coffee were amazing. It was my first time trying all three items and I want more. Overall a wonderful experience. I love the decor and ambiance. I wouldn't mind having a dinner party for my birthday there."

  • "the food is good and the ambience is nice (though a little too loud at times). service was good but is often spotty. i wish they would offer more vegetarian/vegan entrees. there is really only one, the fatteh, and it is fried and drenched in dairy, so not really a healthy entree option."

  • "Our server Daniel definitely made up for the wait time for food and drinks...It was a bit chaotic in there but he handled it well. Only downside was that two people in our group received warm beers and the manager offered to replace them with another kind of beer while they waited, which we thought was nice at the time but then charged them for it!! Overall though the food was delicious and our server did a great job!"

  • "I went here with some friends, it was great! We got the hummus trio and I got the chicken kabobs. It was all delicious."

  • "Good food and good service as always. The Chef's platter has a little bit of many Lebanese traditional dishes so it is fun to try."

  • "I like this restaurant a lot, and I've been here several times with small and large groups, and several times with just me and my husband, but timing is everything! We had a reservation for Saturday night. It took over an hour for a group of 7 to get our food (this has never been the case when I have come with larger groups before). Service is usually a little slow, but this was ridiculous. Everyone was miserable and hungry by the time dinner finally arrived at 9:20pm. In addition, the restaurant was so loud we could not hear each other talk. The food was not the best, either. My fries were underdone, one person's sandwich was cold, and someone else's mixed dish did not have all the pieces, but we were too hungry to complain. Disappointed."

  • "My daughter had dined at Lebanese Taverna last summer and wanted to return to celebrate her birthday. We were a party of 6 and it was the first time the other 5 people in our party had been to this restaurant. The food was great however the service was extremely slow. It took just over an hour for our food to arrive after placing the order. The noise level was just loud enough to not be able to hear what someone was saying to you unless you were looking at them directly. Otherwise I have no other complaints. The food was well seasoned, the portions were generous and the ambience was nice. When I made the reservation on Open Table I noted we were celebrating a birthday and our waiter brought a dessert for us to share without a reminder."

  • "I was very pleased with the variety on the menu and food was fresh, flavorful and reasonably priced. Service was impeccable and the setting very relaxing. I highly recommend this spot for business lunches for a change of pace."

  • "This is our 4th (or 5th) time at Lebanese Taverna in Baltimore and this time my wife and I were celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary. First of all, we were surprised as to how packed the place was at 8pm on a Wednesday, because I would have thought it wouldn't be house-full at that time. For the first time ever we ordered the entrees and didn't even bother with the Mezze. I had the Eggplant Fatteh which was amazing, although towards the end I sort of got overwhelmed by all the yogurt in the dish. My wife ordered the Mediterranean Sea Bass and she said she loved how flaky and light it was, and especially loved the presentation of it."

  • "Food was very good. not the Tabouleh salad, not enough lemon, seasoning, onions and did not like it was done with curly parsley vs italian one."

  • "This has become one of our favorite restaurants in Baltimore. The food is consistently excellent and the menu has a terrific variety of mezze and main courses. Whether we have a multi-course meal or just a sandwich and hummus, the food is always excellent. The prices are remarkably moderate considering the quality and ambiance. That is why we keep coming back again and again."

  • "Have always loved this restaurant for the food & location despite how noisy it can be, but had quite a bad experience here last week. Business lunch with someone from out of town - his first time there. I ended up embarrassed and apologizing to my companion - the service was that bad. Waiter very slow to take drink and food orders, rarely came back to check on us, didn't clear plates, didn't give extra plates to share meze dishes; was basically just absent, though it was not that busy. The guy wasn't unpleasant, just thoroughly incompetent. We might as well have been at Ruby Tuesday or some other cheap chain with checked-out young wait staff. Not cool."

  • "The food and the service are always very good. I usually have the platter with various samples of Middle Eastern cuisine prepared vegetarian without meat and it is always fresh and delicious."
    Dined on 6/3/2014
  • "The food was good but the wait agonizingly long. My food was just about warm probably because it was left waiting to get to the table. The restaurant was not all that busy but yet the time between courses was long enough to digest the food completely!! The waiter showed up on and off and made ridiculous conversation. We had to get the attention of another waiter to get us the dessert menus!"

  • "I brought a group of six and all parties had rave reviews. I like foods with flavor and that is what I got. The presentation was worthy as well. Will return."

  • "All of the food was excellent, with a variety that was unfamiliar to me. I found myself thinking "I want to come back frequently!""

  • "Food was good; however wife's food was served hot while mine was served warm-ish (even after I sent it back to be heated). In addition, the service was irritatingly slow. It took a while for our entrées to be served and our waitress rarely came around to check on us. Nice place but it needs spend a little more money on increasing the number of staff, especially for Saturday evenings. "

  • "A great selection of gluten free options, really enjoyed the Hummus, it was excellent The M’saka is very good as well. Three issues, we had a reservation but still waited in line 15 minutes to see the host before being seated and had to flag down staff to find my waitress three times. Finally, the noise level was very loud. Excessively loud. Stadium loud. It was so much quieter outside then in. I would return but eat outside. "

  • "Food is great quality every time. Sat outside which is on a side street. Was construction blocking the view of the water. There was an angry driver honking beside us, which is obviously not always the case. Inside feels more formal, but you can sit outside in even just gym clothing. "

  • "Have enjoyed this restaurant in the past. This time one favorite dish --Ouzi-- which has been very good before, was very disappointing. The ingredient of the braised lamb was still good, but the dish as a whole, including usually delicious spiced rice and stuffed grape leaves, was ruined by a heavy, greasy sauce -- pretty gross, actually. I didn't say anything to the server, who was very nice, because I didn't notice it at first and it was an occasion with others which I didn't want to mar, but it made me really question the quality control in the kitchen. The other dishes seemed okay. "

  • "First time here and enjoyed the hummus sampler and falafel. My sins had lamb dishes which they enjoyed amd my husband had a salmon dish. The bread was a great texture to use for the hummus. "

  • "A friend and I were in Baltimore for a meeting and happened upon this place on a great spring night. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather along with some very good Lebanese food. We started with the Hommus Trio, which included a spicy version, one with chicken shawarma and one with ground lamb and pine nuts. We each had the mixed kabob platters with lamb, chicken and kafta. The lamb and chicken were moist and well spiced. I had the spiced rice which was worth the $1 upgrade. Part of a DC area chain, I will look forward to coming back to this Terverna location next time I'm in town."

  • "Lebanese Taverna is one of my go-to places when I have visitors or when I'm meeting someone from work....the food is outstanding....I highly recommend the two appetizer plates to whet your appetite and the chicken shwarma if you still have room. Really interesting wine list too... Love this place!"

  • "No complaints from anyone at the table. Everything we ordered was spot on - Delicious! Considering the group, that is saying a lot. The dinning room is also pretty/cool, and I love that some tables have comfortable bench seating. I also loved that it is mostly surrounded by windows. "

  • "The soup and appetizer of white pizza were outstanding and the salmon and lamb excellent. It would have been great to have a cold beer but that wasn't happening. They ran out of everything. They did have a few warm beers bud and becks but all the Lebanese beers were out as was the after dinner wine Moscatel. In many restaurants the beer is on ice and so are the glasses . In my opinion having good drinks and coffee can make or break a meal. I would imagine a problem with the supplier had occurred. They had the same problem about a year ago when I came last. I especially come for the Lebanese food and drink. "

  • "I went there in a party of 4 to celebrate my brother's birthday. We all had a great night out, filled with amazing dishes and some nice drinks. We didn't get carried away drinking, as my wife and I always try to leave some room for the Arabic tea at the end of the night, which we cannot get enough of. Anyway, we loved the entire experience, and will definitely be returning soon for other numerous occasions."

  • "Consistently good Middle Eastern style food at reasonable prices, and friendly if not always attentive service. Stays open late in the "hot" and attractive area called "Harbor East", on the eastern edge of downtown Baltimore, so a good place to go after symphony or theatre, when some places are closed or closing."
