Lebanese Taverna - BaltimoreShrinking menu, but good foodWe have been enjoying Lebanese Taverna since it opened in Baltimore, and it's still one of our favorites. However, the menu is smaller than it used to be, with far fewer mezze choices. (We always order lots of small plates rather than entrees.) Fortunately, the quality has remained consistently high. Although prices have gone up, that's true everywhere. Lebanese Taverna remains reasonably priced, particularly given the excellent cuisine. We will be back again to enjoy the mezze.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMDelightful experienceOur party of three had a delightful time in the comfortable, contemporary setting, bordering on chic. The mezza style allowed us to taste a variety of dishes. The hummus was the smoothest, tastiest, my favorite dish was Shrimp Arak, a cold mezza with sliced onion and cilantro. The complimentary Mothers Day mimosa added some zing, without being heavy. Service was prompt, attentive and friendly without being intrusive.. We have eaten here several time and always have a good experience. We will definitely be back.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGodd Food and Service in DowntownMy family loves Lebanese Taverna (LT) for its hot bread while you wait and outstanding dishes. The price is very reasonable for a party of six the total bill was under $120. See you at LT soon....5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food but very expensive...We reserved a table for Mother's Day brunch. We had 5 adults and one 5-year old child. According to their special Mother's Day menu, it was $35 per adult, $12.95 for children 6 to 12 and free for children under 6. When we got the bill, we were charged for 6 adults and 18% gratuity added automatically. We asked to adjust the bill because the child is 5, we got the bill back still saying 6 adults and $35 coupon and still 18% gratuity. Also, they include free mimosa for mothers. One mother was pregnant so she asked for orange juice instead, we were charged $4 for that and $4 for a child drink.
Again, the food was great as always but they try to charge you left and right to add to your bill which is disappointing.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMReally good food and veryReally good food and very raesonably priced. I woudl definatel;y return!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMI really enjoyed my diningI really enjoyed my dining experience at Lebanese Taverna. My family and I arrive 15 min. prior to our reservation and were seated promptly because our table was already available. The view of the water from our table was breath-taking. One of the best views I've seen of the harbor. Parking can be a bit difficult here on a Friday or Saturday, but they do have valet parking. The food was brought out quickly and everything was very tasty. The falafel was a great appetizer because they serve lavash bread for the table so you can make your own mini falafel sandwiches. I would highly recommend getting some yogurt sauce on the side with the sandwiches/wraps.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMNew MenuNew menu. Still absolutely delicious. Ran out of salmon and sea bass - sadness.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding Food & ServciceI want to recognize the amazing late lunch and service we experienced at the Lebanese Taverna Baltimore location, We sat on the patio. Our waiter (Tim or James) can't quite remember, was quite quick and courteous taking our order and bringing us amazing bread pita things with some kind of olive oil with herbs mixed in it. That set the course for the meal which was a sampler plate of various food items. Any time we had question our waiter would answer them and then take time to really interact with us and that made the meal so pleasurable. Thanks to his amazing service we will be back (going there today as a matter of fact) many times in the future and Lebanese Taverna is now our go to restaurant in Inner Harbor.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMConsider Brunch! It seems that brunch at Lebanese Taverna is a hidden secret- there were no lines, and service was prompt and friendly. The sunshine streaming through gave a gorgeous view of the waters, and there were plenty of mezzes and small plates to choose from and a cruel list of multiple desserts to select from (I think it was half a dozen!) that I didn't have enough room for.
There were several families with young children and babies, and the servers were very attentive in providing crayons and paper and plastic cups.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMBest pita & hummus in town.Best pita & hummus in town. Best schwama too! Authentic middle eastern food served with an upscale atmosphere.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWe wanted to get a samplingWe wanted to get a sampling of Lebanese cuisine and our waiter, AJ, did a fabulous job of making sure that happened. He was extremely helpful in helping us select the right dishes. We had a wonderful time and hope to get there again soon.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMI liked this place. Our waiter,I liked this place. Our waiter, Mike, was great and was very knowledgable about the menu. The menu has a wide variety of selections and, for those who are gluten free, you will especially like it because the gluten free items were noted right on the regular menu. We'll definitely return to Lebanese Taverna.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMYummyIf you've never had Lebanese food you must try Lebanese Taverna. The perfect dish for novices is the Chef Platter which has 9 different "tastes" from baba ghanous to hoummas. Superb and a great price. The appetizer portion of the chicken shawarma was the perfect size for me for dinner with an appetizer. Great chicken with a multitude of morsels. And a house made pita to wrap all the deliciousness up in. Desserts--amazing baklava and the donuts with the honey custard were to die for. Wonderful to dine in a group and share tastes of everything.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMGo-to restaurantAlways my go-to restaurant! Great flavors and always a fun experience. They recently redid their menu and it is even better than before!3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMBeen wanting to dine hereBeen wanting to dine here for several years. Finally took a friend out to celebrate his birthday. Food yummy, though a little heavy handed on the lemon. Waitress a total sweetheart. However, now that I've been to this restaurant I see no reason to return.3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMOur server was amazing andOur server was amazing and made great recommendations!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful! All of the Lebanese Tavernas in the area have their own character - the Baltimore site is lovely both in location and decor. Service was impeccable and the food was perfect. I had a Mediterranean sea bass to die for. Everyone was more than pleased with their appetizers and entrees. Our server was lovely, attentive without being overbearing, and friendly without being ingratiating. I cannot think of one thing about the evening that was less than excellent. I will be back, without question.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was delicious andThe food was delicious and the service was excellent!3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMCompared to several high-endCompared to several high-end restaurants on the same street in trendy Inner Harbor East, this is a very reasonably priced alternative with excellent food. The cuisine is a wonderful mix of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean, and everything we ordered was tasty and well presented. You may never have had pita and hommous like this, and that's just the start. The menu is modest but highly varied, and the food authentic in the best sense. My only negative was the overly generous helping of fried pita chips with the delicious sea bass, where couscous, rice, or another grain would have been more authentic and wholesome. Save room for dessert, generous and finger-licking good. And the service was exceptional.2/1/2013 12:00:00 AM
