Le ZincWonderful food, nominal corkageWonderful food, nominal corkage for SF which was a huge plus, wine list nothing to brag about - bring your own and pay the $15. The ambiance was as advertised, great European feel right down to the stoic, but 'spot on with the recommendations' waiter. Steave bavette was great as was the beef bourguignon. Save room for desert - all are amazing. Would definitely suggest a trip here for the food. Bon apetit.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThis place is wonderful! This was our first time at this restaurant and it was great. The food was spectacular and the ambiance is perfect. It truly feels like you are dining in a French cafe. I highly recommend it.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMQuiet but delicious!I had a gift certificate here from a friend, so my boyfriend and I made reservations for a nice but casual Friday night dinner. It was quiet, though we were there on the earlier side so it may get busier after 8 or 9. My salmon was delicious and he really enjoyed the duck. Definitely would return here!5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMLe Zinc is a quaint FrenchLe Zinc is a quaint French bistro in Noe Valley. The escargot on toast points was excellent. The only flaw was that there wasn't enough parsley butter to sop up with the crusty French bread. The roast duck in the cognac source with the tagliatelle was excellent. The portion was just the right size. The warm chocolate cake was rich and gooey. They had several French wines to select from, which is a rarity. Parking may be an issue, but if you arrive before 6 PM, there is a small parking lot right next to the restaurant.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely settingGreat food in a lovely setting. I highly recommend this place and look forward to going back.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat! First time but hopefullyGreat! First time but hopefully not last time. Love the patio setting; food tasty and lovely service.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMA WONDERFUL FRENCH FIND!We love French food and wish there were more bistros and cafes. Italian places dominate and i'm not sure why. French has a much more refined touch. The food here is really delicious and it shows that the owner is the chef and cares a lot.
We will definitely return.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMThis place is becoming a regularThis place is becoming a regular stop for us. Just the right mix and good value as well.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMNoe Valley FavoriteWe always enjoy being transported to France when we go to Le Zinc. And this time, I think I ordered particularly well. My salade Lyonnaise was perfect - the egg perfectly poached and the dressing very mustardy. The duck breast was terrific. The remains our favorite casual, neighborhood place.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMMy mom and I love this place! My mom and I love this place! Come here every couple months and especially like sitting in the back on their little patio. Food is great, service is great & we enjoy their champagne/wine.4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMYummy eggs benedict, fabulousYummy eggs benedict, fabulous coffee, and outstanding service.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat little restaurant withGreat little restaurant with excellent food and service. We had a party of six and and we had a great time at the restaurant. We did not have dessert at the restaurant because we had cake waitng for us at home. We'll try their dessert next time we go because it looks good.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat bistro experienceWe had a great meal on an early Saturday evening. Ordered off of the prix fixe menu. Timing for the courses was perfect. Ambience was good and the staff was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AMAuthentic French cuisine servedAuthentic French cuisine served tapa style. Tucked away in the Noe Valley area, we loved how it was in the vicinity of some great cafes, bars, and boutique stores. We loved that the servers were French, and how the restaurant was very accomodating. There was an outside patio that looked pretty cool, so looking forward to Sunday brunch. Worth coming here if you're a foodie.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our first visit toThis was our first visit to Le Zinc and we enjoyed it very much. The onion soup was delightful and the boeuf bourguignon was excellent. My wife had the tuna nicoise, which was also quite good. Also nice French wines by the glass. Friendly service adds to the experience.
