A word from Le Vigne at Montaluce Winery
Food culture is very important to the kitchen at Le Vigne Restaurant, more specifically, local food culture. We believe that food and the sharing of food builds community, especially if the food and wine that is shared is rooted within the community. That is why we not only produce wine from grapes grown in our own vineyard, but grow produce in our own organic garden on the property. What we don’t produce ourselves, we source from the local farms. We want to be able to provide our guests with local, sustainable foods as well as provide the local artisans and farmers an outlet for their hard work. At the beautiful Le Vigne Restaurant, situated high above the vineyards, guests will discover a dedication to honoring the flavors of our region throughout each of the four seasons in a menu that changes regularly to reflect the best of what is available. • "Great food, service and ambiance! And of course the wine was pared perfectly. Fresh organic vegetables from their own garden."

  • "This is a wonderful restaurant in a beautiful setting overlooking the vineyards. The food is excellent as was the service. It was a relaxing and lovely place for a special occasion dinner."

  • "I like to warn my guests that if we blindfolded them abd dropped them into Le Vigne they would think they were in Tuscany, not North georgia. This is a beautiful restaurant with equally good food!"

  • "When you talk about ambience, Montaluce is definitely five stars. To top it all off, the food is absolutely delicious and plated beautifully. A very special expience!!"

  • "The ambiance is nice while eating and looking at the vineyards. I liked the variety of cheeses on a stone slab. I was glad I could bring my wine tasting experiment to my dining room table. The service was outstanding always coming to our table if we were satisfied with our food and asking if we needed anything else."

  • "We have been there several times and have never been disappointed. The service is absolutely outstanding as is the food itself. I think we have had every item on the menu and all are excellent. We always bring friends with us and they are always impressed and want to go back there when they visit."

  • "60 minutes from Atlanta, we were transported to another land. Delighted to dine alfresco in full view of the vineyard, a lovely pond and distant mountains, we noticed several couples celebrating special occasions, and a large table of ladies clearly enjoying the elegance indoors. A classic yet casual dining experience with the freshest farm-to-table greens, we each had a glass of wine and shared three salad plates, a perfect ladies lunch. Our servers were well trained and knowledgeable."

  • "The nearby town of Dahlonega is known for gold mining, but gold is not the only gem found in this area. The restaurant, Le Vigne at the Monteluce Vineyards is wonderful. And being the only wonderful for miles around, it has become our go-to restaurant for a good meal...and for that we need to drive 40 minutes. But it is worth it. The food is inspired. The flavors are subtle, creative and delicious. The presentation is inspired and the venue invokes a Tuscan villa. The first tip we were not in Kansas anymore was when a well-dressed young man came out to valet park our car. It continued to surprise us every step of the way. I highly recommend sitting on the terrace, weather permitting, as it directly overlooks the lovely vineyard."

  • "Friends have been telling us this is a "MUST go to" forever. We finally made it and it did not dissapoint. The only thng we could have asked is for was better weather...but you can't control that! We will definately go back!"

  • "Having come all the way from Los Angeles for my nephew's college graduation, I was in dire need of some 'home cooking'. And boy did I find it! The East Coast Scallops;the Butternut Squash and the Rainbow Quinoa were brilliant!"

  • "My husband and I took our daughter and my mother for Mother's day. They didn't know what we were doing so when we pulled up to the front gate and saw the Italian villa and vineyards they were excited. The food was inspiring and delicious."

  • "Ambience takes you to Italy and you don't want to leave. Food was original, creative and nicely prepared and presented. The servers were able to answer questions about the wine and menu and were friendly yet professional. I was surprised that the wine was so good as I have visited several wineries in the area and have not cared for any of their wines. I did buy some to take home. Joseph has done a brilliant job of training his staff which is so important as they are the ones who leave a lasting impression. I have been to Italy, France etc many times, my expectations are high and this venue checked all the boxes."

  • "Beautiful facility. Service was extremely poor. Food was ok, but for the price the portions were very small and the quality didn't measure up. We won't be back."

  • "Everything was great! Nice place for a special occasion. The popcorn & honey ice cream dessert was laughable, but the chocolate & pistachio cake was great. We had the Goat cheese, Salmon, Scalops & Pork meatballs & all were delicious! However, the bread had run out. Have been several times and will definately go back."

  • "One of our new favorite restaurants. Fresh, creative dishes... friendly, responsive service and a beautiful view combine for a satisfying dining experience well worth any drive to get there. Recommend the cheese plate with the Milano Salami and the Rosemary oil powder (took some of this home). Must try a soup, the creamy portabella was my favorite. All the mains are unique and delicious. I am a big fan of the scallops. Do save room for dessert. FYI- they make their own sorbets and ice creams as well. Oh, yeah, and the wine is pretty good too. Enjoy a flight with dinner."

  • "This is in a beautiful setting with a great view. The lunch menu had very interesting offerings and the 5 different items we tried were all very good( 2 appetizers, 2 sandwiches and 1 full meal). This coupled with a wine tasting provided an enjoyable couple of hours. We will definitely go back for lunch again when we are in the area or will take friends to have lunch and wine tasting."

  • "The restaurant offers fantastic views over its vineyards. Both from inside window seats as well as the balcony/terrace area. With nice weather the terrace is a must. Food is well-prepared, and tasty. Some imagination applied to the prepping. Tasty appetizers, good desserts. Not all main courses are top. Overall a very good menu, with enough creative choices to choose from. Local wines are interesting to good. "

  • "We were in Dawsonville for Xtreme Xperience and decided to make a day of it. Discovered this amazing, picturesque, romantic vineyard and decided to go for lunch. The pork burger was amazing and the confit chicken leg was to die for. I had to send my original order back but they were very good about exchanging it. We were able to do a tasting at the table and it was perfect looking out over the vineyard. It was a wonderful experience. "

  • "We took family visiting from New England here for Easter brunch/lunch - the food and service were excellent. Our guests enjoyed themselves and commented what a lovely place it was. We ran a few minutes late and they were very accommodating even during the holiday. We would highly recommend. "

  • "What a magnificent venue....winery, buildings, scenery.....amazing to be tucked into the North Georgia mountains. A very class act....from server to chef....wow."

  • "Finally took a trip to the Georgia Winery and was pleasantly surprised. Tasted 5 wines and they were pretty good. We ate dinner after our tasting which by the way was comped because of all the crazies that were there for the highway wine tasting, wouldn't recommend going during that time because it brings out "Georgias finest". The service in the restaurant was great and the wait staff was so knowledgeable about every dish. Food was great, just very small portions. Dessert was just okay and more about presentation that anything. Every member of our party said they would order the same thing again, scallops, short ribs, brunswick stew, butternut squash soup...yummy! All in all a great experience"

  • "I booked a reservation on Fri at 1130am, for a party of 4..I had been there before, but my guests had not. The lunch menu is very pricey. The food pricey as it was, was fantastic. The wait service lacked very very much, we had to ask for bread and olive oil, since the food did take a lot of time. There was only 2 other people there besides us. We saw our waiter once, and had to ''flag down'', another waiter for refills, which I did not like..We never saw our waiter to ask us''if we enjoyed the food'', any comments or complaints, etc. I even had to flag down the waiter for my check..He was busy with other diners..I tipped well, for the food not service I received. Its a beautiful place but will not go back....."

  • "Food was great but every time I have been the food is very slow to come out. This time was really slow....so my advise...make sure you go before the lunch rush and don't be surprised if your there for at least 3 hours."
    Dined on 3/22/2014
  • "Food arrived cold, we waited over an hour for our food, had to ask for bread 3 times. My sister and I had the burger and were ill that evening. The service was just awful. Beautiful place, but needs many improvements getting food out on time."

  • "It was my birthday on Saturday and i choose to come to the resturant with my family. I wanted a later time but was told 5:30 was the only availablility and the entire time we were there, we were close to the only ones dining inside. Plenty of tables all the way up to the time we left (8:00). They added at 21% gratuity to my 7 person party. 21% is NOT customary and we were truly offended by it. I think you should only add a gratuity when very busy anyway but adding 21% and the resturant was not full or busy was just rude!!! The service was slow. The entrees were good. Desserts could have improvement, my son ate the moose and it was too frozen to eat."
