  • "The Windsor Court outshines every competitor with their afternoon tea. They offer a wonderful selection of teas, ranging from traditional favorites to seasonal treats. Their scones are scrumptious, as well as hearty and filling. The selection of finger sandwiches has something to please every taste. And, the chocolate covered strawberries are enormous, as well as unbelievably sweet and juicy. No place does tea like the Windsor Court, and the staff really understands how to create an ambiance of casual elegance."

  • "My mom and I went here for afternoon tea on my birthday. We mentioned it to the server. The food was lacking and the scones were cold. We got the desert and it was okay. The tea was cold when it was pored. Again it was a small portion. We have gone before and it was a lot better. But about 15 minutes after we got the deserts, the piano played Happy Birthday for three other tables and they celebrated their birthdays. Apparently forgetting that it was also mine. This did not make a good experience here."

  • "Strangely enough, this is only one of two places where you can experience afternoon tea service in the city. I prefer this place because they give you much, much more food and I found the wait staff to be more attentive. It's very yummy! Try the vanilla tea! <3"

  • "I have been going to tea at Le Salon at the Windsor Court Hotel for several years. It has always been a wonderful experience. This time was such a huge disappointment. We waited for tea, we waited for food, we waited for refills. The amount and size of portions of the food is substantially less and the priced is more. We waited so long for a tea refill that the tea was bitter when served. The sandwiches were not very good. The scones were good but small. The desserts were small and not very good. It cost $37 plus tax and an automatic 20% gratuity. The service was poor and did not warrant a 20% tip. Unless I hear that there has been an improvement in the food and service, I will not be returning for tea with my friends. Sad!"

  • "My best friends and I attended afternoon tea during Mardi Gras weekend. Though the traffic and noise was a bit our server Edwardo did the best he could to keep our ambiance and experience special! He was phenomenal and extremely attentive. Our tea was scrumptious especially the sweets at the end! An experience we all enjoy and can't wait to experience again!"

  • "One of the best tea services we have had at the Windsor Court"

  • "I took my mother here for a birthday tea and it was perfect. They even wrote "happy birthday" in chocolate on the plate and put a candle in one of the desserts - a sweet touch. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the room and furnishings were beautiful. We will definitely be back!"

  • "Best ever afternoon tea! Harpist was beautiful and the cocktail, foot, and tea was the best!!!"

  • "This was a nice experience. We enjoyed the tea. The tea itself was fantastic. However, the food didn't appear to be fresh. We also found the service less than prompt and the noise level from other patrons in the area too loud."

  • "I have been going to the Windsor Court tea for almost 20 years and it is always the perfect afternoon tea experience. I have been there with my friends, for my bridal tea, for my sister's baby shower, and now I bring my daughters there. I cannot recommend it highly enough."

  • "The staff were wonderful. First of all we arrived a couple minutes late and with an extra person in our party. They were very accomodating and immediately rearranged our seating. Also we had a three year old in our party and I was kind of worried about how that would go but our server made it amazing! She got pink lemonade in her tea cup and they had special kid friendly sandwiches and scones for her. At one point the server even brought over pillows because my daughter was getting tired and cranky! It was just a great experience and I was amazed at how much the staff just really went above and beyond!"

  • "We went for my youngest daughter's 21st birthday and she loved it. We all dressed up and enjoyed the opulent setting with overstuffed chairs to sit in and fine china to dine on. The tea sandwiches were yummy, the scones were rich and buttery and the tea selection was outstanding. I would definitely recommend it for a special occasion"

  • "Each year my best friend and I treat ourselves to a special "Holiday" tea together at LeSalon of the Windsor Court Hotel. We have never been disappointed. This year, I have discovered that I have a "gluten sensitivity" and requested a gluten-free meal. What a wonderful surprise to find yummy tea sandwiches with cucumbers substituting for bread, a plate of fresh fruit, chocolate covered strawberries and truffles! Oh, and the amazing Christmas wine topped it all off! Thank you, Lisa and Edwardo, for making this year's experience just as wonderful as all my holiday teas over the years!"

  • "Disappointing on the last day of the Christmas Tea. The table setting service was not complete. Customer service was absent - no Happy New Year or anything like that. We felt invisible."

  • "I had a great experience at high tea on New Year's Eve here with a friend, but I suffered some sticker shock. The tea service was $42, which I thought reasonable until the bill came and I saw that was per person! And that's for just 1 pot of tea, and one plate each of scones, finger sandwiches, and desserts. One drink for each of us was also included. Still, for what we had--which was good--the $100 bill was wholly unjustified. Ambience for tea was great--a live harpist plays at this hotel, which is my favorite place to stay in New Orleans. Save Le Salon for a special occasion tea; it's sadly too costly to make it a habit."

  • "I had tea at the Windsor Court about a month ago and was quite disappointed--cold tea, stale sandwiches--but we thought to try it again and found it much improved this time. Still overly pricey for what is served. We have had better teas elsewhere."

  • "We have tea the Windsor court several times a year. The last several times, the service has been very poor. At our last visit, we did not get a drop of tea until we were done with the second course of scones, and when the tea came it was the incorrect tea. At the visit before that, there was a 30 min period during the meal where all cups were empty, and another length of time where we had tea, but could not drink it because there was no cream. I am pretty easy going when it comes to restaurant service, but at a High Tea, I do expect to be able to drink tea during the entire meal. The waitress was very kind and friendly, it just seemed that she needed to have less tables so she could be more attentive and available."

  • "The only thing that gave us pause was that although there were seven of us, we could only choose two types of tea for the entire table. This is the first year this has happened; in years past, each person was allowed to choose a type of tea. Happily, we were able to find two that fit, but we had to compromise in order to do so."

  • "The food portions were too small and not enough, even for an afternoon tea. The entire experience was overpriced even though it was during the Christmas Hoiliday season."

  • "We have made tea a yearly tradition during the holidays. While we absolutely always love going to the WC, here are a few things we noticed this year .... that seem to be shared by others I've spoken to as well: 1) The price of the tea has increased (didn't it use to be $35.person?) to $42 ... and it seems as thought the amount of food you get has decreased 2) We couldn't believe they charged us $8 for valet - on top of paying $170 for 3 people to have tea!! When we go to other upscale hotels and get parking validation, there is no parking fee! It's disappointing to say the least. 3) It seemed like the service was "off" a bit and rushed. People like to go here for the entire experience, and thus the service plays a big part in that."

  • "I have been taking my granddaughter to tea since she was about 13. The amount of people changed though out the years with daughter in laws and daughters and new granddaughters and sister and even some people like family. Well this time I went back to granddaughter and grandmother only and we had such a beautiful time just talking and catching up, since she just took her finals, in her second to last semester, at Hammond University. The waiter was so nice giving us time to chat but yet keeping our table clean. Arriving at the perfect time for the next thing on the menu. The surrounding were beautifully deck out for Christmas. Could not have ask for a better time."

  • "The Windsor Court's tea is a very special event and even more so during Christmas with all of the beautiful lobby decorations. The food is good, especially the first serving of various tea sandwiches. The scones, followed by a tray of chocolates was a bit overwhelming in the "sweet" category for us but all was very good. Our tea was served, initially, only lukewarm but later pours were hot and lovely. This is an expensive event but well worth the price for a very special experience."

  • "Every year my daughter and I do something special together at Christmas. This year I chose the Holiday Tea at the Windsor Court Hotel in New Orleans. The food was superb, service out of this world ( the waiters make you feel special), decorations were so beautiful. I will go back to have tea again."

  • "Holiday Tea at Le Salon is a treasured tradition for us. The experience is a sum of it's total parts. Beginning with the stunning Christmas décor as you enter the lobby, the beautiful harp music wafting thru the air, the lovely and graceful table settings and impeccable service. We are always delighted with the selection of tea sandwiches and this year's ginger scones were very delectable with our favorite lemon curd topping. The "sweet" selection was outstanding with the perfectly rendered fruit tart and of course we finish with the chocolate dipped strawberries. There is no better beginning of the Christmas season than to experience Holiday Tea at Le Salon."

The Le Salon at the Windsor does a fine job and everyone should experience this. I'm sure the wives would love to be treated to this by their husbands. (Hint, Hint) Be sure to dress up for the occasion because it is delightful."

  • "This is the 7th year I've attended Windsor Court's Christmas tea. For the first year, the service was a big let down. We didn't get our cocktails we ordered until sitting down at our table for over 20 minutes. After receiving our cocktails, we received our tea sandwiches and it wasn't until the end of eating all of the sandwiches and after speaking with the waiter about the service that we finally received our first pot of tea. The server was apologetic about the delays and very friendly but it was hard to understand why the delays were occurring when all of the other tables in the salon seemed to have tea and were getting their orders filled. Our last two pots of tea were lukewarm which was also not up to usual standards."

  • "Lovely high tea that has maintained their standards for years. The food is good, and the service is excellent, once you get past the young women that seat you. Trying to seat three at a table set up for two isn't proper (It took her several minutes to figure out that two seats and three people didn't work, whilst we stood around trying to explain this simple idea). Seating people on crutches (and then offering to "put them up somewhere") and the elderly in front of the drafty main entrance doors is also not wise. Once past this less than competent person, everything was excellent. Be aware that the restaurant adds a standard 20% tip automatically on the bill. We had no problem with this."

We ate at many wonderful places for the week we were there, but this was very special, elegant, and one of my favorite moments while there. Worth every penny! It is in a wonderful location, and the decor was to die for! When we return to NOLA for our 5th anniversary we will be staying with this hotel, and having tea there once more!"
