Le PavillonExcellent after-theater dinnerAfter an evening show, my wife and I went to one of the few restaurants still open in St. Augustine for a full meal at 9:30 PM. The background music was pleasant but not obtrusive - something a lot of other restaurants should emulate. The wine list was not huge, but there was sufficient variety, and the two glasses we had (one Riesling and one Merlot/Cabernet blend) were excellent at $8 each. Dinner included a very fresh salad - just greens, but with a very nice dressing. We had veal Oscar, and found it among the best we have ever had - two cutlets cooked properly, with tasty crab meat and white asparagus in the sauce. We also tried the chicken curry - very mild with two breast cutlets and great accompanying rice, banana, and chutney.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMAn exceptional experienceAn exceptional experience - the rack of lamb was one of the best ever! Friendly professional staff. Several rooms create an intimate atmosphere, and control the noise level.4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything from service toEverything from service to food was awesome.
