A great new addition to the West End. The food is delicious, well priced and served by friendly and helpful staff. I was so pleased to get a chance to eat there. I will do so again soon because I enjoyed it so much. For a reasonably priced, casual place to dine I cannot recommend it more.

We had been to the earlier incarnation of this place and were looking forward to trying the new version: The Left Bank. Nicely updated inside in a much more contemporary manner, the new place is impressive by that alone. The menu, limited as befits a proper bistro offers variety and flexibility. The four different mains our table ordered were all excellent, rich and tasty. The lamb tagine is especially worth ordering, though I would add more rice or couscous. The wine list is not extensive by any means but there is variety in price and quality, with some wonderful offerings from Burrowing Owl. Wait staff are attentive and charming and made the overall experience all the better. We will return.

Excellent food served in a casually elegant atmosphere. Rebooked for another date before we left the restaurant! 5 people in our party shared dishes from 3 courses and everyone loved every dish.

I am very happy that the owner of Bistro Pastis opened this longtime West End neighorhood restaurant, which was starting to fray around the edges. In it's new freshened up incarnation, it is now packing them in, with better quality cuisine. The menu is very "rustic" French, so hearty kind of food and not fine cuisine. I would not go there for a special occasion, but for a casual simple meal out yes. The service can be wonderful, depending on which server attends to your table. Manager Geraldine is always cheerful, charming, gracious and most attentive, overseeing that all goes well with her customers. Of the 2 restaurants however, Pastis is my top choice.

Pretty close to a Parisien bistro experience. Service a bit uneven, but hopefully will improve with time.

Even though our server was new and wasn't too familiar with the menu, our dining experience was fairly good. It is a tucked on Denman street but has its own character. The tartar is a must try. Mash potatoes were a bit dry.
