Le Parisien - VancouverCafe de Paris was always ourCafe de Paris was always our favourite neighbourhood restaurant for decades while living in the West End.
We are delighted with the "new" transformation since Pastis is also one of our favourites. Great bistro food and ambiance...the service is always good and the attention to detail with the food is much appreciated.12/3/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently great!Great drinks, great wine, great food, and great service every time!6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMUnexpected treatMy daughters and I had dinner at Le Parisien on June 1, 2013. We hadn't been to the restaurant before and therefore had no expectations but very high hopes. From the moment we entered to the time we departed we enjoyed our experience. The smoked chicken liver and foie gras parfait is a must. The portion is huge and the flavour is outstanding. My one complaint is that the parfait should be served with an extra toast point.
Will definitely return.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother great meal at Le Parisien..Visited mid week for a romantic dinner and, though the regular weekend staff wasn't around; we were warmly welcomed. Food was wonderful (pâté, escargots en cocotte, vegetarian ravioli and seafood special). Best seats are at the bay windows, overlooking tree lined street.5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMNew favourite in West EndWe have been for brunch and dinner a few times now and just awesome service, so friendly and accommodating. The food has been amazing. Best croque-monsieur I've had. And dinner was so delicious, and just the right size serving. Thank you!5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMClassy yet casualUnlike most restaurants in Vancouver that offer classier fare and try and establish themselves as a cut above the rest, Le Parisien is a very welcoming, friendly environment with true attention to detail that's noticeable in every bite. The service from the moment we walked in was fantastic - they greeted us all warmly, made sure we had water and menus immediately, and offered us the specials when we each sat down. The waiters offered us individualised dishes, accommodating each person's request without question. The food was delicious - all freshly prepared and well plated. I can't wait to come back and try more of their delicious creations!! It has a real elegance, without being arrogant and pompous.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Option in a Slim SeaWhere noodle houses, shwarmas, and "shovel it in" restaurants dominate the scene, there's salvation in everything French. Le Parisien is back and is fantastic. With French waiters from Paris and elegant cuisine, this is going to be our "goto" restaurant in the West End. Thank you for options!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMThe restaurant was packedThe restaurant was packed so it was noisy. we were a large group and the service and food was excellent.2/2/2013 12:00:00 AMWent for Dineout VancouverWent for Dineout Vancouver 2013. Romantic ambience, the host was super friendly (reminded of a French Joseph Gordon-Levitt), the food was excellent. I would return!1/2/2013 12:00:00 AMWe chose the $28 menu andWe chose the $28 menu and we thought the menu items we chose represented fair value. It was unfortunate that the wine we chose was not available which could have been noted on the wine list. Our server was pleasant but a bit brusque.
Overall we enjoyed our Dine-Out experience. .1/2/2013 12:00:00 AMI had the escargot and theI had the escargot and the bouillabaisse and they were both very fresh and delicious. They definitely use quality, fresh ingredients. It was a little bit pricey, my meal was 65$ (w/ tax & tip) and 2 small glasses of wine but certainly not outrageous. The waitress was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The restaurant is casual.1/1/0001 4:00:00 PM
