Service was good but the restaurant had a tired '80's vibe and felt a little shabby. The menu was overblown heavy French bistro fare - just old-fashioned rather than traditional. Portions were massive. Salad was tasty but overdressed and limp. Snapper was overcooked to the point of rubber and everything had too much salt. The bordeaux by the glass was very light and vinegary. Too bad. The service on the other hand was faultless. They need to update their decor and menu.

There were 4 tables filled, and one of them was the one I specifically requested in my OpenTable reservation. They mentioned they weren't checking OpenTable at all, bc it was not a busy night. There's really only one good table in the place, that ruined it from the start. Food was passable but pricey for what it was.

With this being my second time eating at Le Magnifique, I was expecting quality food with prompt and considerate service. Thankfully, the former was true. However the service left much to be desired. My reservation was for 2pm. We were told we'd have a 5 minute wait and to be seated at the bar. Twenty five minutes passed with the hostess coming by only once to update us with another "5 minute" wait. Even the bartender felt badly for us and made us a complimentary cocktail. When we were finally seated, our server was visibly disheveled. We had to wait almost 10-15 minutes before our order was taken, and then our waiter was out of sight for much of the meal. When we finally wanted to pay, we had to ask another server for our bill.

If you're looking for simple but delicious French food, you'll be very satisfied at le magnifique. From the melted camembert to the nutella crepe, from the white wine mussels to the tartar (prepared to your likings at the table) and fries, every dish was tasty. Not to mention the 2007 saint emilion bottle we had. We left very happy and full.

We had brunch there at close to 3:00 PM. When we arrived, there was no one there. We had to ask someone in the kitchen, who directed us upstairs. It was not busy -- 3 tables of diners. But it took forever to get our food. Can't imagine what it would be like if they were busy. The food was fair -- nothing to write home about. Unfortunately, we would not recommend.

Charming yet professional. Great French cuisine in American sized portions. Well priced, well done.
I hate to share this neighborhood gem for fear we won't get a table in the future.

It was Valentine's Day dinner and understandably crowded. However, the tables are very close together and everyone's conversation could be heard. The restaurant was also extremely hot. Our server looked overworked, and drinks were slow in coming. On the plus side, the food was excellent as were the wine-by-the glass selections. We would definitely go back, but not on a "holiday".
