A word from Le Jardin Bistro
The original Le Jardin Bistro, was known for its welcoming and comfortable atmosphere accompanied by well-priced renditions of traditional dishes. It received a glowing review from The New York Times in 1995, recognized as serving “cuisine bourgeois that tastes as good as simple French food does on a first trip to France.”
The new location of Le Jardin Bistro Draws inspiration from French tradition, with a menu that is devoted to the celebration of classic flavors.
Divided between two floors, the bistro boasts a stately and inviting oyster bar, dining room and small patio on the first floor. A busy open kitchen sets the tone for a lively second floor, made up of an additional dining room and namesake, candlelit “jardin” seating open year-round. With seating for 100, the space is fashioned with antique mirrors, vintage art and a wood burning fire place, embodying a casual sophistication.

Took the Mrs. to a casual Saturday dinner, this bistro does a good job overall. Had an asparagus salad (slightly overdressed) the filet mignon special (very good!) And the hnager steak (good but on the small side for a main). The apple tart for dessert was our least favorite dish. Good, happy vibe on the 2nd floor, on the noisy, but not horrible. Good find in AB city.

I know I shouldn't hold it against a new restaurant that it's predecessor was better. The location remains extremely charming with the upstairs deck being great for the summer, and the fireplace a draw for the winter. I'm a little tired of all the generic bistros cropping up all over the city with their similar a la carte menus of steak tartare and escargot. Balthazar does it best; most of the others are pale imitations. You can get a perfectly acceptable meal at Jardin Bistro and I will go back because it's in my neighborhood and I enjoy the ambience. I just wish they would be a little more inspired with the menu.

Great spot. The place has a cool vibe. Service is attentive and friendly. Prices are great. Food is wonderful. Bartender gave great suggestions and even gave us a few samples to help us choose a bottle of wine. Can't wait to go back.

What is not to like about this place? Great setting and casual in keeping with the neighborhood. Food is excellent, especially the bouillabaisse! A must order! And the pricing is easy on the wallet... Go before it gets too busy..

Great food at a good price. Love the outdoor seating upstairs. This bistro has all the perks of a fine dining french restaurant, including the skill level of the servers. I will be going back soon and telling my friends to check it out.

We missed it when it left SOHO 4 years ago and glad it's back with a very similar menu. Wish they would bring back the tuna tartare though. Prices are so reasonable and the new space has two outdoor terraces. We liked the one upstairs.
