I went with my daughter for lunch and it was wonderful. I had the calf liver which was melt-in-your-mouth delicious topped with paper thin slices of crispy onions. My daughter had the "boeuf cru" she gave it an A+. We shared a dish of Jerusalem artichoke fries...just the memory is still mouth watering. And this is one of those rare restaurants that has enough class and common sense to serve butter that is cold. Lunch for 2 with 2 glasses of Chardonnay Not Including the tip was $72. Was there on a Friday lunchtime and there were only a couple of people there, so it was quiet. They have a terrace which I can't rate as it was raining. Service was A+. This is a fantastic place for a pre-concert meal and I can't wait to go back!

We were seated and were never offered a menu. We had to ask for one. We explained to 2 different people that we had a show to attend and were recommended quick dishes but still our main meal took over an hour to arrive. We had ordered the tartare, not even something you had to cook! The waitress never passed by our table, we had to flag someone else down. We never even got to eat dessert. The food, when it arrived, looked and tasted amazing. However, the service was so poor that I will never go back.

Beware: There is no signage for this restaurant, so you have to know where it is. It's inside the Museum of Contemporary Art (2nd floor) - which is a bit strange. We arrived a 6pm (2 hours before a MSO concert at Place des Arts). We were the only customers during the 1.5 hours we were there, which was odd (or maybe not - since the restaurant's existence isn't obvious). So, we had our server's full attention, and she was wonderful, taking the time to explain every dish on the menu to us. Every dish was simply excellent - exceeding our expectations! It still amazes me that the place wasn't packed full of people. We will definitely be going back.

Dined here twice and tried once. When there, good service, decent food, zero ambience (that of a hallway basically). But a good quick choice for pretheatre or concert. Unfortunately most recent reservation cancelled at last minute by the restaurant as they had a "private event". This they could have told me weeks before when the reservation was made, but no...

This place is a real find. We were in Montreal unexpectedly and trying to get reservations. It turned out that it was Restaurant Week and all the places we were interested in trying were booked. This was the only place we could get reservations, and so we jumped at it. How lucky we were! You'd think that a restaurant in an art museum wouldn't be much to speak of, but there you are quite wrong. The food was not just incredibly tasty, it was imaginative and beautiful. Salads with meringue and sorbet, main dishes topped with quail eggs, and dessert with salted buttermilk ice cream. I could go on and on but there is just not enough room in this review! In short: this place is a find. It's worth your time and money. Eat in an art museum!

Every food item we got on the prix fixe menu was awesome. The only small problem was portion sizes that left us a bit hungry after the meal. Service was OK but we thought our server had forgotten us for a good part of the meal.

It was a balmy summer evening with just enough soft breezes to allow us to enjoy sitting on the terrace. We were going to a concert at the Jazz Festival, so didn't have too much time to linger. The waiter understood and gave us outstanding service. The food was divine. My companion chose the 72-hr cooked beef and never have we tasted beef this good. I had scallops, also delicious. Definitely recommend this restaurant whether one is going to Place des Arts or not.

A very special find! Food is fantastic, service was ok, just a bit slow as the servers have a large space to serve. The servers are wonderful and very polite and helpful. This restaurant is worth the time as the food is just so very good. The set up is very nice with an openess that is clean and friendly. Will definately be going again.

Excellent repas pré-spectacle.

I would appreciate much better to communicate in french. In Montreal, you should make an effort on this subject. As for the restaurant, it is mainly for people who go to the theater or concert afterwards. If you go to the theater at 4 pm and to the restaurant afterwards, there is not as much ambiance since there are practically nobody after 8 pm.

I enjoyed this restaurant. I do not speak or read any French which was difficult navigating the menu. The waitress took the extra time to translate which I greatly appreciated! Perhaps having an alternative English menu would be nice and convenient. The dishes were described as in between appetizer/entree sized which was great for sharing. If you go hungry, your bill would be much more expensive than just someone who wants a light meal.
