  • "This week we had lunch in this beautiful restaurant. My husband, my mom, my son (10 years old), and I had an unforgettable time. Beautiful decoration, truly spectacular. Friendly, professional, and impeccable service. Wonderful food: risotto, lobster, lamb, escargots, duck, trout, desserts. Pure perfection. We definitely won't miss it in our next visit to New York. Dress up, this place deserves it. A gem."

  • "I have eaten at Le Cirque many times and this was not the best experience. The menu used to be far more varied. I ordered asparagus for an appetizer ($38.00) for four spears and found that ridiculously expensive. The meat dish that was ordered was tough and not lean. My girlfriend ordered the dover sole and that was excellent. The chocolate soufflé was mediocre and bitter. All in all, not a great experience. This was my last time. Restaurant was half empty for a Thursday night. I shouldn't be surprised."

  • "Been here several times. Always good. Tartare and caviar was especially good."

  • "We were overwhelmed by the grandiosity of Le Cirque (in a good way). The service was top notch and each staff member was very warm and friendly. The food was incredible overall--some misses in our book (ie the yellowtail) but at least it's innovative. The tartare & caviar was GREAT, chicken with wheatberries and cherries was unbelievable, and the tapioca caviar was one of the best dishes we've ever had, truly amazing. The ambiance isn't exactly modern but it's classic French NY. Not cheap, but we'd say it's worth the money. Definitely a trip we'll remember forever!"

  • "We ordered a salad for $22, nowhere near worth the price tag. We then had the chicken for two for $88. I would equate it to a baked chicken you could buy at Publix for less than $5. So $110 got us a marginal baked chicken and salad. When first seated we drank a glass of water for 20 minutes before finally presented with a menu and bread. We just sat there drinking water for another 15 minutes to place our order--albeit the bread was very good. In all we were there 2.5 hours to eat a half a chicken and a salad. Our waiter checked on us once after we received our meal. Insane! We ate at Spice Market the night before, spent twice the money, got twice the service and it was worth every penny. Avoid this place until they get it together."

  • "This is a very classy place and the food is always perfect. I am never disappointed whether I go to the location in NYC or Las Vegas. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone"

  • "One liter of sparkling water will cost you $10 here. And the food was good, but not quite worth the price you pay for them. My dining companion was vegetarian and we asked what vegetarian options there were for the lunch prix fixe menu. They gave us some options which my dining companion took, but tried to charge us an additional $20 for them (without forewarning). Thankfully they were willing to waive the surcharge, but it left a bad taste in my mouth. The restaurant should either have a vegetarian version of the prix fixe menu, or allow vegetarian substitutions for no additional charge. (Or at least let us know if there would be additional charge.)"

  • "Best duck breast I have eaten in New York since moving here in 1992! Everything was delicious. The venue was elegant and quiet. I cannot wait to go back. "

  • "As a single I sometime do not get the best service. Everyone was very nice except Alexio? The couple seated next to me came in about 10 minutes after I was seated and he took their order before mine--had to ask. After the meal they had their bill and I sat--no coffee etc--and sat. Finally I asked for my bill. The other staff was very nice- lovely atmosphere --fun china. This is for the rest. --One of the nice looking patrons came by the table and asked if I was a movie star--did not get to talk as one of the K. twins got up and wisked him away congratulating him on a deal(sorry I did not get to reply to the attractive man)so I did not look bad for the room. A. talked to the others in the room but not a smile for me. "

  • "Went with a group of people and expected a once in a lifetime dinner experience. It wasn't as expected, Bouley is better in service and a notch higher in food presentation and taste. Price is comparable. Ambiance is okay. "

  • "Since we entered le cirque the atention was very kind, tables and ambiente very nice, drinks amazing and then we decided to have the tasting menu... I have not eaten this good in years! Every dish that was served was a festival for the mouth. If you want the best food in NYC you definitively have to visit le cirque!"

  • "Food was very good but not exceptional. Champagne choices were good and appreciated. The maitre d's personally greeted or fussed over nearly every table in the restaurant except ours. It was not a busy time and clearly the other tables were regulars, friends, or in a couple cases famous people. However we could not help but feel slighted. The wait staff was attentive but stiff and distant."

  • "Delighted to return to Le Cirque after a long absence to celebrate 2 major wedding anniversaries/significant birthday. From the welcome at the door and throughout the evening, they could not have been more gracious/attentive, even on a busy Saturday night. We were close enough to another table to get the full benefit of a tenor's gorgeous but brief rendition of an operatic salute to the celebrants at that table. All the food was beautifully presented and delicious--loved the modern twist on the escargot and yellowtail, and the dover sole was superb (large enough a portion that every one at the table got a taste). In all, more than a meal--truly an event that will last in memories for a long time. Hearty thnx to all the Maccionis."

  • "This long-heralded establishment as one of New York's finest eateries has only improved with age. The food is individually prepared exactly to your specifications, such as my asking that the chef would not use any salt, and it was PERFCT. I added pepper to give the food added character but it was really unnecessary. Every time I eat here I wonder why don't I come back more often. So now I must!!!! Thanks for being such a New York City icon."

  • "First trip to New York here to celebrate my birthday. Ambiance and neighborhood is phenominal! Major disappointment and reason for fair rating is our server. I always like to ask what do you recommend as an appetizer or main course. We got minimal input and was advised things like, we tried all of them but i don't remember. We finally decided on an appetizer and when asked if we liked it, we said yes. The response we got back was, well i've never had that because it's so expensive. Not the thing to say! I had the New York Strip & unfortunately the pepper was way too overpowering. Overall the ambiance is fantastic, but disappointed in the service. Have a drink at the bar here and go next door for dinner is my advice."

  • "I have nothing negative to say about this restaurant. Unfortunately, it was almost empty, and that put a damper on the dining experience. The food and service were fine, but at that expense, all should be wonderful.. It's not the fault of the restaurant. I hope they fill up again. It was a Wednesday evening."

  • "Like a 1 hour vacation. You will never forget the experience. Food and service were exceptional. We mentioned smoked salmon in a conversation, and in 5 minutes the off menu item was at the table. The cocktails complimented the food beautifully, and the bold coffee ended the meal in perfection. The time at Le Cirque was a great break from fast paced life in NYC."

  • "The food was disappointing; several dishes were barely warm, flavoring was bland. The mixture of Asian flavoring into dishes made the chicken very salt with the excessive ginger added. Considering the cost, it was most disappointing. I try and visit Le Cirque at least once a year. It will be a while before I return or recommend."

  • "This place was amazing. I proposed to my girlfriend there and she loved it. The staff is respectable everything is just beautiful. I loved how the The waiters were so on top of things they never left our table empty. I can't wait to bring her here again for our anniversary"

  • "I've dined here several times, both Restaurant Week and "regular" menus. The quality of service used to be great, just as the food. However, this year they decided to downgrade RW diners to a second tier, pushing customers to the cafe instead of the main dining room. The result was horrible. Service was extremely poor, to the extent that I had to ask for water (more than once which is unacceptable at a restaurant of that level). After the appetizer, it took them 35 LONG minutes to bring the main course, and no apologies whatsoever (plate was salmon, nothing that requires that long to be prepared anyway). Food was good but the quality of service (lack thereof, I should say), was a major disappointment and embarrassed me in front of my guest."

  • "We were so impressed with the restaurant in Vegas I thought it was a good idea for a business lunch. It happened to be during restaurant week an the menu appeared interesting. Not only was the food prepared poorly there was not enough to feed the 3 small women I took with me. The gnocchi appetizer was literally 6 small gnocchi and 3 minuscule shrimp. The cannelloni beans were very hard and the desserts(except for the creme brûlée) lacked any taste. I will never go there again. Stick to jean George's where the feed you And treat you like you are people."

  • "Other than going to Le Cirque just to say you've been to Le Cirque, there's really no reason to go here. The food was good not great. And the portions were incredibly tiny. The risotto seemed more like Uncle Ben's and lacked flavor. While the hake was good. The restaurant had a nice ambiance but we left feeling under fed and under satisfied."
