A word from Le Cellier
We are a new neighborhood Gastro beer & wine bar in Marina Del Rey California, serving estate and "Terroir" driven wine paired with a seasonal contemporary French-Vietnamese menu in a modern chic yet convivial and open atmosphere designed for socializing and sharing.
We have a strong selection of both Domestic and French estate wine that are both high in quality and reasonably priced. We put special attention to the promotion and education of wine drinking offering a daily choice of select wine by the glass.
We take a similar approach with our selection of microbrewery beers, as well as our {single origin} coffees.
The ethos behind our drinks is to feature in as much as possible vintners who put great focus on all aspects of the development of their product from soil to table.
We offer wine and beer pairings, weekend jazz, and intimid event bookings, conferences, and showings.

Hit the spot. Chicken Noodle Soup, Roast Chicken with Fries, Eggplant, Creme Brulee, Apple Tart - everything was perfectly prepared and attractively served. Chicken was moist, fries were crispy and the best creme brulee this side of St. Barts.

We are familiar with this restaurant for lunch, but we did not know how the restaurant would be at night, although we really liked the menu. The owners are most accommodating and charming and only want their customers to be comfortable and content. The food was absolutely fantastic. We shared several appetizers and all enjoyed them. The entrees were even better--superb was the unanimous opinion of our group (fish has never tasted so good) and the desserts were delicious. The extensive wine list was excellent and reasonable. On this weekend night, they had a jazz quartet playing which was a nice touch, but the volume made conversation difficult. Without the music noise level, we give this restaurant an A and we intend to return often!

Wonderful food done with care and excellent ingredients. The owners/chefs are very personable, accommodating, entertaining, warm and friendly. The food is beautifully presented, unique and delicious with complex flavors that complement and play off each other like the perfect jazz jam session. There is something for everyone however if I were to make one request it would be that they would expand their menu and offer even more choices. I highly recommend it and plan to return often!

Loved it! Food was exceptional - visually beautiful, well prepared, well proportioned, lovely spices/herbs and and creative mix of both French and Vietnamese favorites - for what might be only basic somewhere else. I'll return often for all kinds of occasions. We had a lovely french dry white wine - and the pastries and other desserts were perfect. What a perfect place for everything - even a stop on the way back from an event for a beautiful dessert, coffee and an aperitif. The moderate noise was from guests genuinely happy. I'm so glad to have found this in our very own neighborhood. Sophisticated and fun - and the owners are such genuine and kind people - our party of four just loved it. We are already recommending to friend

A friend and I were looking for a great place to have some interesting cuisine. Le Cellier did not disappoint with it's French Vietnamese menu. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable on the wine list and pairing recommendations. We chose to do a flight with the an appetizer pairing and they gave us a very fun and interesting guide to help us decide which one we liked best. It was a great interactive experience! I highly recommend this place!

Very warm staff. The food was good, not great. I thought this was going to be a bit fancier than it was. It's a casual neighborhood spot, but didn't quite fit the bill for a romantic date night. The live music on Saturday night was very loud.

My Vietnamese Quiche, was a very sad, tasteless terraine slice in a much too large bread roll. The other 2 with me, fared better. One had a good salad and one a chicken sandwich which she reported was good. Neither looked outstanding. It was my treat and hard for them to complain. The waiter was very attentive and the wine delicious. I was sorry the place was empty bar one loud table of girls who left shortly after we arrived. I wish them well but they need to be careful, don't try on, it serviing mediocre food, when customers have so many alternatives.

Food and wine were great and the bartender fantastic, but the service fell woefully short. Almost every dish was delish, service, or lack thereof, was out of control. We had to ask for silverware, napkins, water. We watched numerous patrons leave after waiting too long for service. Needs better management

WOW! What a find in the Marina by the beach. A hidden treasure on busy Washington. Very exciting menu with unusual combinations of flavors. We wanted to try everything! We opted for the specials, paella and poached salmon, both pure perfection. Apps of tapas-like treats we're a perfect way to begin and fine cheeses and an unusual creme brûlée for the finale! Staff were always there but never hovered. All very knowledgeable about the extensive wine list! Owners, Vietnamese and French (hence the theme) stopped by for that extra attention. I could go one but why? You get the idea. Don't miss this one!!

Decent Wine list but food was not good unfortunately. Went there for Valentines day and expected to be able to enjoy trying a number of things and when we got there we found out it was a fixed menu. Was not very good and ended up being as pricey as almost anywhere in Venice. The area's cuisine has just gotten way too good to leave room for mediocrity at these prices. Service was great but unfortunately the food was not.

  • Le Cellier: Great wine bar, ok food

We schlepped all the way from Orange County to Marina del Rey to support Le Cellier's Wine Bar concept and the owner, Hiep Thi Le--fellow Vietnamese American artist, foodie and entrepreneur. While we love Hiep, we thought her new restaurant is still rough around the edges with respect to the wait staff and service. Our Welcome Valentine's Day Brut Rose champagne was NOT served until AFTER the entree, only at our request--and they were served in martini glasses instead of flutes! The food was good, not remarkable. But I come from a foodie family of restauranteurs. The ambiance was very simple and romantique! The BEST part of Le Cellier: Bernard, the manager, bartender and sommelier: he's a truly delightful and charmant Frenchman!

We are very pleased with the food... very different and much better than your local Washington Blvd. turist focused flair. A different type of Viet food... Good wine and very affordable. A definite yes! We'll be back. I am not sure about the music... which seemed to be coming from a what would have been a club next door... it sounded muffled as if it was not there.. so a lot of thumping and not clear... maybe a boken speaker???
