Excellent restaurant. It sits within a hotel but you would have never guessed. The waiter and waitresses were amazing and funny. Took my date there, we were seated in a round booth so we were able to sit very close to each other. The food was amazing and the desert recommendation from one of the waitress was spot on. Too bad they are closing shop within 7 days.

Curious that the Pierre hotel's flagship restaurant should have such a service-challenged kitchen. At lunch in an almost empty restaurant it took nearly an hour to get our simple luncheon requests served to s. Maybe the restaurant is empty because others already know of this problem?

The New York Caprice lacks the atmosphere and mystic of the London Restaurant. The food is average to say least I had a Chicken Soup with Meatballs that had a strange non too pleasant flavour, the meatballs were lacklustre and hard. Cod and Chips we slightly better but Chips were cool and vegetable side orders were poor and tasteless.

Le Caprice in London is one of our favorite spots so we wondered if The Pierre's in New York's LC was going to live up to our hopeful expectations. Needless to say it did. Wild Boar pasta is excellent. Lighting is a little too bright for romantic ambiance, but fine for a friendly business dinner.

We love the decor, very 20's art deco style and unique in Manhattan. Multigrain roll is excellent. The little gem salad, their version of a Caesar, is much better than almost any in London, and comparable to better ones in NY. Steak Tartar is nice. The duck confit is good. They need to sort out their wine list. One day they were out of the Simard and the next day they poured a 2010 Chablis instead of the 2008. We are sorry to hear they are closing in June. Thats a shame.

First time at Le Caprice and I must say I was impressed before we even entered. The doorman made us feel as though the restaurant was waiting for us to arrive. The hostess was just as warm and welcoming. If there was something minor I needed our waiter was alreading asking me, "is there something you need.." Food was Excellent!!!! Although we're from Baltimore Maryland, we plan on returning, and suggesting it to our family and friends. A perfect way to end our evening...thank you.

Le Caprice has been a favorite since the day it opened. A beautiful room, delicious food, and seamless service make for a perfect evening. Keep in mind post theater, as they are open late......a perfect spot for late night supper. Chef Ed Carew has done an excellent job with updating the selection, while maintaining the Le Caprice London classics.

The London Caprice has been one of our favorite restaurants for more than forty years, and this branch is very welcome. The food is just as it is in London -- interesting and very, very good, and with a decidedly modern English cast. The service here makes the dining experience difficult. Our waiter was helpful but also confused, and it is a good idea to be cheerful and patient if one wishes to enjoy the food. The up side is that the slowness of service makes it possible to have a pleasant leisurely dinner.

Even though it was restaurant week there were generous portions and interesting well seasoned selections such as a quail appetizer and a delicious white bean soup with duck confit. The room is beautiful, black and white and very deco and very elegant. The drinks from the bar were the real deal, strong and well made. The only dissapointment was our fellow diners, who dressed like schulbs. They looked like they belonged at The Olive Garden. This place does not have the ambiance, or the polish of the Le Caprice in London, but it is still very, very nice. I really hope it lasts.

It is part of the Piere Hotel so it is quite upscale in terms of decor. A quiet and romantic place to dine. I like the table with two chairs and a half circle couch. The food was so so. The Oregen wine that we had was nice. It is pricey though. Overall, I do not see it stand out as a place that money was well spent. I would recommend DBGB Kichen and any one of Daniel Boulud's or Jean-Gorges' restaurants for a better culinary experience.

I'd never even realized the Pierre was home to Le Caprice -- one tends to overlook hotel restaurants. But this was a delightful surprise; very sophisticated decor, attentive service, and a place my friends and I plan to keep in mind as a place to meet for drinks thanks to its convenient location and elegant setting. And the food was excellent - we had quail as a starter, salmon, and fruit crips for dessert, and the salmon was perfectly prepared to three different styles of doneness, as requested. We also appreciated the low noise level and uncramped seating.
