Diner Reviews
  • "The food was truly remarkable, the atmosphere was very "French Bistro", the wine was delicious and we are going back for a large party in May but it will certainly be one of many occasions that we will be returning!"

  • "Had the Pri Fixe dinner with Beef Wellington. Very well prepared, and a nice portion. The poached pear appetizer had an amazing blend of flavors and textures, and was attractively presented. The mushroom soup was likely the best I have ever had. An excellent experience. Thanks"

  • "We've been visiting LeBistro since the early 2000's. First, the chef is remarkable; wonderful menu, thoughtful specials, preparation and flavors always remarkable. Small and quiet, with knowledgeable and attentive servers, we always make sure we get to LeBistro. We love it for our "special occasions," but don't have to wait -- make any day special."

  • "Excellent food, wonderful service. Atmosphere was very relaxing. Highly recommend to everyone. The food was out of this world."

  • "Both the food and service were awesome. They also offered most of their entrees as part of a 4 course prix fixe. This was a great option. I will definitely be back."

  • "I was so pleasantly surprised at our over all experience at Le Bistro. It's just a store front in a strip mall until you walk in the front door. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. The waiter came to us...advised us on our wine choice...which was delicious. Informed us of the specials, a rather extensive list of starters and entrees. There was a choice of the 4 course price prix menu or an a la carte menu. We felt the presentation, amount and quality of the food was in line with the price. The service was wonderful, friendly and very efficient. We do intend to go back to Le Bistro and look forward to sharing the experience with friends and family."

  • "Le Bistro is a gem. We were looking forward to dining at Le Bistro having heard rave reviews from friends. We were not disappointed. le Bistro is an outstanding restaurant. Elin & Andy the co owners are a wonderful team. They made us fell right at home. Andy is a creative, well trained & exceptional chef . It was one of the best dining experiences we have had in a long time and we eat out often !!!. We HIGHLY recommend Le Bistro."

  • "We found the reviews online, both thru Trip Advisor and Open Table, to be positive (there were a few negatives, and we find those occasional negatives more of a 'plant' than a real review; are they just troublemakers?). We decided to go and found the experience all around to be excellent: great food, great prix fixe, and wonderful service. We would return here again, and often."

  • "The welcoming service coupled with intimate tables with a fresh rose on each set the stage for a wonderful meal ! By selecting the Prix Fixe menu, we enjoyed masterful poached pear appetizers with sugared pecans, and savory cheese, salads with a delicious Dijon dressing, and the Decadence entre of lobster, shrimp, littleneck clams, chardonnay, tomato herb and shelfish broth. Meals to remember and repeat again in the future!"

  • "Last minute reservations on a Saturday night can be tricky and our party of four felt very lucky to have ended up here while in town for just a few days. Would definitely plan to eat there again."

  • "Found LeBistro on open table and checked the reviews. Also checked Trip Adviser. I decided to book it for myself and a friend. Despite the strip mall location this is a really good local restaurant! Certainly cannot argue with the food, everything was delicious. We both ordered the fixed price selection - and it is a great value for the money. My friend had the ahi appetizer which was fantastic and the duck entree, and the duck was outstanding! I had the lamb chops and they perfectly cooked, juicy and delicious. The wine list is not big but there are some good bottles and the prices are reasonable. And of course being a French place you have to have dessert! Our server was really nice - very friendly and helpful."

  • "Le Bistro does not look like a foodie paradise; however, once you have one forkful of anything on the menu you will see that looks can be deceiving. Everything we ate was delicious and the service was great. This restaurant is a hidden gem that really should be frequented by all in the area."

  • "We have been enjoying Le Bistrot for 3 years now. Only problem with that place is that we need to take a plane to get there! So every time we're in Florida we make sure to visit at least twice. We have taken 2 groups of friends and the verdict was the same: will be back for: -great food, nice wine selection -good value for the price -fun interaction with Andy, Ellin and Ray (They remember us even if they don't see us that often, that always makes you feel appreciated) Favorite things: mushroom soup + beef wellington for which your don't need your knife! Will see you next time Annie & Bruno"

  • "An outstanding Beef Wellington cooked to perfection and at the right temperature. Esgargots were the best I had had in years. Good to the last drop!!! Was a pleasure to have service that was impeccable and polite. This little gem has been put on the list of favorites for many a return visit. A pleasure to find good food at last in Broward county as it is not an area known for either good food, service or pleasurable dining"

  • "You can always count on Chef Andy, and Elin, his wife who does everything except cook ... to be gracious hosts to all diners. The food is always well prepared, special, and served hot. Great variety for all courses, and a good value for all meals. They have created a family atmosphere between the owners and customers."

  • "We found Le Bistro on OpenTable and thought we'd check it out. Both the Prix Fixe and a la carte menus were great, and the four of us selected prix fixe, though we all chose something different. Everything was wonderfully prepared and full of subtle tastes. The mushroom soup was delicious, as were the lamb chops. Yellowtail Snapper with capers and vegetables was wonderful! We had great service from Ray, and a fun time chatting with Ray the chef."

  • "I went to Le Bistro for Thanksgiving because they offered a vegetarian selection for my son; unfortunately he did not like the selection and opted for the butternut squash soup which was very good. I had the turkey dinner which was just ok; nothing like the one I should have made myself. Turkey breast slices never look like that when I cut it at home..The pie came out without the whipped cream but once it was served properly, the pecan pie was delicious. The tables were too close and the service could have been better. It is an intimate little restaurant with good intentions but I was not impressed."

  • "Dined here for Thanksgiving, hosting a party of six. My wife had called the restaurant and was led to believe we were to experience the 'traditional' turkey dinner. We expected meat craved off the frame, but got a de-boned and pressed combo of light and dark meat. The food was good but not what I call 'traditional'. Service was attentive and fixed price provided a decent value."

  • "The selections for appetizers and entrees in particular are varied and unique. The sauces are light and yet so flavorful and welcoming to the palate. Meats are tender and top quality. Wait 'til you see what ingredients are combined to make each selection memorable. Each time we go, the menu contains some of the favorites, but also many new and exciting choices. And the presentation is always a festival for the eyes! We absolutely love it here."

  • "I have been to Le Bistro before and it was just as good this time around. The food was very tasty, the chef is very talented and the servers were all very friendly and made your feel comfortable. I tried the goat cheese, the vanilla poached pear, the lamb chops and the shortbread. The dessert was the only one which I was not crazy about, but everything else was fantastic. I only wish I had more space for the mushroom soup everyone around me was raving about! I will definitely go back."

  • "Decided to try it because they participated in Dine Out Lauderdale on Saturday nights. They were admittedly short staffed but we never would have known it, and the service was very good. Chicken roulade app was nicely seasoned with a perfect touch of acidity - perfect starter. Mahi app was delightful. House salad was deceptively simple but the dressing was fantastic. Lamb chops were a bit underdone and under seasoned, but the ginger puree and the hash served with were stunningly delightful. Similarly, the seared tuna was a bit overdone but the accompaniments were tasty. Deserts were unimpressive but served the purpose. Nice wine list. Overall the food was very good considering this is a small neighborhood joint. Worth a repeat visit."

  • "I was told of this place by a friend and was pleasantly surprised by the service (they were short staffed but made us feel like we were the only ones in the place) and the food, this filled our appetite for French and we will be back."

  • "It is so nice to find an intimate, family-run bistro offering exceptionally prepared food in a sea of chain restaurant mediocrity. Wish there were more places like this. The chef is obviously quite talented and professionally trained. Take advantage of the value prix fixe menus. The beef Wellington for 2 was a treat. We do not live in this area. Otherwise we'd become regulars. We eat out about 3 nights a week in many different locations, so we've experienced a LOT of restaurants. Too bad there aren't more places like this one."

  • "Very good food. Although we had to ask for the special menu. We did notice many people eating from the special menu. It is worth trying this place. We eat here a couple of times a year. We wish we could eat here more."

  • "We got there at 6:45 on Saturday and the place was packed. The place was renovated recently and the new menu was in effect. I had mushroom soup and beef medallions with latkies and wild mushroom sauce , very memorable experience. My wife fish was not bad either. We'll be back."

  • "went for date night and had the 4 course plus a bottle of wine special that was $100. He had the mushroom soup which was yummy, and I had chicken roulade which had a pleasant spicy kick for first course. Next was salad. We shared the beef wellington, It was full of mushrooms which I wasn't expecting but not unpleasant. This was a bit of a bummer for us because while I wanted beef Wellington, he didnt but was stuck ordering the same because that is a for two meal. For dessert he had the creme brûlée which was nice. I had the crepe which i didnt enjoy much only because of the powdered sugar on top, otherwise was ok. The wine was suggested by the server/host and it was yummy, even my non-wine drinking boyfriend enjoyed it. Flow was timed well"

  • "We've eaten here several times and decided to dine mid week because of the Dine Out Ft. Lauderdale special menu. As always, delish. The poached pear with blue cheese was fantastic. As was the mushroom soup. The salad appears deceptively simply...until you taste the dressing. Yum! Two in our party had the lamb (lovely). Another ordered the inventive crudo plate. Did they grow the veggies themselves? Because I've never eaten a better tasting radish. Unbelievable value at $100 per couple ($35 pp for 4 courses plus bottle of very good wine). This really is a neighborhood gem. Get thee to Le Bistro pronto!"
