Le Bistro (Incline Village)We have not visited this wonderfulWe have not visited this wonderful restaurant in nearly 20 years and what a great find "again." Every dinner course was fabulous---even a shrimp cocktail took on a whole new meaning. The halibut was great as were desserts and the wonderful hearts of palm salad. This is French Bistro food at it's casual yet elegant best. We will return to this gem again and again. Lauren and Margaret Reager4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMDelightful but a little expensive. The food itself was good, but the menu was not very extensive. And the place was expensive. They mainly offer a prix-fix menu, but you can also order a la carte. The prix-fix menu is five courses (soup, appetizer, salad, entree, dessert); it was $52 per person. Myself, I can't eat five courses. So we went a la carte, just a salad and an entree. I ordered the tournedos, my wife ordered the halibut. The entree came with nothing else, no potatoes, no vegetables. And the portions were sort of small. But that's OK with me, at most restaurants the portions are way too large for me. I left feeling satisfied and not over-stuffed. Good service.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMBest of the BestBest of the Best! I have been to many a five star restaurants, from San Francisco to Montreal, from Paris to Monaco, Italy, Japan, etc. Anyway you get the idea, this is one of the best I have been to for the quality, presentation, and preparation of the food everything was done to perfection. The owner and chef Jean Pierre obviously takes pride in what he does. There is a nice friendly family atmosphere (with out the kids). The waiter David, and his assistant were extremely attentive and wanted to ensure we were served each course when We wanted it. I will definitely return, each and every time I am in the area.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat find. A real gourmetGreat find. A real gourmet treat. Felt like I was in the French countryside, but the food was definitely city fare. Don't miss it. A bargain compared to San Francisco prices.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMThis place nevers dissapoints! This place nevers dissapoints!
