It is very hard to find a place that covers such high expectations. They tell to to except the best and they definitely deliver. The food was heavenly, the service was perfect. I have food allergies and wanted to have the chefs tasting menu, they where so acomodating and the food was so good I didn't feel any restriction or disappointed because of my allergies. Best restaurant I've ever been to.

Service was slow and this resturant is way over rated. Food was good but a great steak house would have suited better for the evening.

Everything was perfect, from the welcome and care in French until the final touch of the surprise Parfait Vanille for our anniversary. The Bernardin is everything its reputation says and more: fish is superbly cooked, service a pure perfection of kindness and atmosphere just what we can expect from such an exceptional place.

  • A little disappointed

we had an early reservation. When the restaurant confirmed the caller asked if we had theater tickets. When I said no, she sounded unhappy, and said someone else had the table 2 1/2 hours after us, but not to worry because the meals were timed so we would be finished that. However, although the food was beautiful and tasted great, we had the distinct impression of being rushed. We barely looked at the menu and wine list before being asked to order. Although our wine glasses were topped off constantly, our water glasses never were refilled, and we were never asked if we wanted coffee. By the way, we were not late, in fact we showed up 5 minutes early. In a restaurant with this reputation, I would not expect to have these complaints.

if you're customer is paying more than $300 to get a dinner, it's some quite rude for a restaurant like you to make them feel rushed. the next table of customer not being able to be seated is NOT my problem. the chef tasting menu has too many similar flavors. it was all truffle.

For many famous restaurants that gain a great reputation, their service and food standards begin to slip. Not so for Le Bernardin. I last ate there 8 years ago and fondly remembered it as one of the best meals I had ever had. My recent trip there was just as memorable. Kudos to them for maintaining their excellent standards for all these years.

As a native New Yorker I am proud that this restaurant exists here. It is a living example of what is possible. I brought my adult daughters here for a birthday luncheon and they were as blown away as I. My first visit was when Le Bernardin was located in Paris on Rue Troyon. It only gets better.

We went to Le Bernandin to celebrate my birthday. It was late at night 10:30 on a Wednesday and the place was full of beautiful people. The ambiance was lovely, the service was outstanding and the menu choices superb. We were offered two delicious, delicate and delightful presented hour 'devour before our actual dinner began. The flavors, the colors, the textures, everything was perfect. our server was very attentive and with a great sense of humor. We chose wine pairing for each plate and they were fabulous. At the end with our dessert, the restaurant offered us an elegant arrangement of 2 desserts with a white lighted candle on a side to celebrate my special day. It was really unforgettable. One restaurant not to miss when visiting NY.

Impeccable seafood, perfect service. Not overwhelming or stuffy, but there to attend to our needs when we needed it. The sommlier was very helpful picking the perfect wine. And their mixologist mixes some of the most interesting and unique cocktails. Of course, this is an expensive dinner, but well worth it for a special occasion.

I never give 100% for anything as I always leave room for improvement. LeBernardin gets 5 stars. Everything they do is most impressive. Every detail has been covered; it is their only method of daily operation. Well worth the expense especially for a special occasion as we celebrated our 50th Anniversary. No need to go into detail here; perfection has been achieved.

Every year, I love to celebrate my birthday at Daniel or at a Michelin star restaurant. Since I had not been to Le Bernardin in a few years, I decided to go for this birthday. Although the place is really nice and the service impeccable, I was not impressed with the food. With the exception of a tuna tartare with foie gras, the food was not exciting. The portions are too small and both my friend and I were still hungry when we left! I was truly disappointed with the food considering it has 3 Michelin stars. For the price, you can really find more exciting choices in New York! Or it could just be that I had just returned from a trip to Barcelona where I had more interesting and creative dishes at lower prices.

Le Bernardin is one of my most favorite dining experiences ever!! We had a three hour lunch with only one glass of wine, so they do not rush you. We enjoyed the three course Prix Fixe menu, but they also offered a tasting menu if you are really hungry. Seafood of every sort. I would definitely recommend the scallops in brown butter and the major chocolate dessert..can't remember the name. It is just a very special dining experience for all you foodies out there and I guarantee you will enjoy it!

My husband and I decided to try a few restaurants - Per Se, Le Bernadin and WD~50, and this was our FAVOURITE. We were not able to get a dinner booking for the date we wanted so we went for lunch instead, the price was extremely reasonable and the food was magnificent, I still dream about the tuna on foie gras. To us, the food outdid Per Se which has a 4 Michelin Stars. We would have loved to have gone back to try the other items on the menu but we it was booked out. Next trip to NYC it will be a MUST on our to-do list. Highly highly recommended to anyone who appreciates good food.
