"We were lucky to be at LBF for Georges Perrier's historic last evening before he turned Philadelphia's great French restaurant over to new management. The service was professional and also relaxed and friendly and each course was well-prepared. Knock-outs were the cheese cart and dessert cart. Georges Perrier greeted each table of diners and then gave several emotional but articulate speeches about his decision to end this part of his life. We were delighted to be able to bring two fine wines from home, with no corkage fee; the wine steward opened the wines several hours in advance and seemed to accept serving them instead of their own overpriced wines. A memorable evening."

"We ate dinner at LeBec Fin's over the New Year holiday. Our experience was lacking in ambiance and the food overallo. This time we ate lunch on the final day before the restaurant closed. Our lunch was a great contrast (I've never had such a great tasting bowl of onion soup!)and our overall experience was supurb!"

"So sorry to see it close.. First time there was in the late 70's.. Contrary to what others may have said recently, I don't believe yhe quality has suffered in either service or food.. We will miss you Le Bec Fin....

Luckily, we live on the main line and still have George's to dine at..."

"We enjoyed Le Bec-Fin's (LBF) Winter Celebration menu ($40). The menu included an appetizer, entree, cheese course, and dessert selection (from the famed dessert cart), as well as a glass of house chardonnay or cabernet. The menu was one of the periodic "early" menus available to diners before 6:00 pm.

We have dined at LBF several times before, twice for lunch with their lunchtime degustation, twice for their dinner degustation (yes, THAT menu), and once for a special theme dinner (Peaches and Champage on 8/31/11).

LBF is lovely when it's not crowded, so skip the nonsense of Restaurant Week, sign up for their mailing list and take advantage of their affordable "early" menus for a premium experience at a fraction of the cost."

"Superb food, excellent service, sophisticated atmosphere. The wine list was excellent and the sommelier helped us choose a spectacular vintage. the desserts were beyond my wildest expectations. I would not have chosen it if it was not recommended, but the coffee cake was to die for.
Perfect eveniing out with the misses. An absolute joy!"
