Diner Reviews
  • "Really looked forward to eating here for the first time. Everything was great except the rib-eye steak, which was disappointing. Not worth what we paid."

  • "My husband and I wanted a nice dinner for our date night, and that is what we got. Service was good - we were seated promptly, waiter checked in often enough, but not too much, and our dishes were served in a timely manner. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was not too noisy to have conversation. We would come here again."

  • "The food portions were small, not cooked properly and we way over paid for it. Forbes steak house in Los Gatos is much better. They should take pointers from them."

  • "We celebrated our anniversary and enjoyed our experience. Thank you."

  • "Had a great meal... Food was excellent; service very good... The only complaint was that the booth was real close to the doors which were open when the sun was up... As the sun went down, it cooled off quickly and got a little chilly at the table when the breeze came up... But all in all, a great night!"

  • "We went to LB Steak for my birthday. My wife had the Burger Royale and thought it fantastic. I had the dry aged Ribeye it to was fantastic. I also had the Potatoes Au Gratin very tasty. BLT Salad was a flavorful twist on a wedge salad, the dressing...mmmmm. My daughter, 2 1/2, liked her salmon and fries, mostly the fries and the ketchup. I order the Lemon Crème Brule for desert and was very disappointed. Not very creamy, had frozen cherries in the middle which did not help. It was more a panna cotta, than a cream brule. Wire list was extensive and the Cab that we had was very good."

  • "The service was really good but the rib eyes steak is too salty and the New York steak is too chewy. The meat is not tender . Another thing that dissappointed our expectation is that there was no in house cake for our friend special occasion -- her bachelorette ... Unlike other steakhouse like Morton they would give us a beautifully decorated cake/ dessert from their in house treat at the end of the meal ."

  • "We ordered 3 kind of steaks. It was owesome...and excellent experience. In spite of wrong order, he changed all of dishes immediatelly."

  • "They treat you well on your birthday and it's a treat to go there. Get the pork belly appetizer."

  • "I brought my boyfriend to this location (both first timers) for his birthday. He's a huge steak fan, but me, not so much. Everything about the restaurant perfect and even though I usually prefer chicken or fish, I had the fillet & it was delicious! I wasn't able to finish the steak because of all the delicious bread, appetizer, mushrooms & max & cheese but it was just as delicious with eggs the next morning!! :) I would definitely return and refer friends/family to this location!"

  • "Ordered drinks and 3 appetizers to start. I expected drinks to arrive first, instead all 3 apps came and no cocktail to enjoy them with. Had I known that they would deliver all 3 simultaneously I would have asked to stage them starting with the oysters. The octupus and pork belly starters were fine. I found the sauce on the pork belly too sweet. Maybe if the pork was saltier it would have had better contrast. For our mains I had the dry aged NY strip, my date had the salmon. For the price of the steak entrees, sauces should be complimentary. My steak was cooked properly cooked (med-rare, extra char) however it lacked flavor. I had to ask for sea salt. Glad to see they use Maldon in the kitchen, although grey sea salt would have been ideal."

  • "Food was great and service was pretty good. Tons of wine selection but was dissapointed with the beer selection. I think there was only 3 to pick from."

  • "My son and I met here to celebrate my birthday. The service was excellent and food very good. The menu was limited but had all of what you would expect at a restaurant that specializes in steaks."

  • "We went in for the Sunday night prime rib special and we were disappointed when it came out not as advertised on the menu or the special board. Instead of a baked potatoe, we were given a meager dollop of mashed potatoes. Instead of the grilled asparagus, we got green beans. When the manager stopped by, we pointed out the switch in sides. He had no idea what the menu said and told is those were the sides the kitchen was serving. We had very little attention from our server, though the server at the table behind ours sounded wonderful! Had to pour our own wine and ask for water when the glasses were empty The hostess was great and we enjoyed the decor/atmosphere. Prime rib was very good, but the other issues will keep us from going back."

  • "Went to LB Steak house for our 46 year anniversary. Menu prices were average price for a good restaurant. We both had their Sunday special, prime rib dinner. This was the best prime rib we have EVER had.. will return. Would love to try their rib eye steak."

  • "I would like to highlight the service that was given, beginning with phone contact and throughout the evening. Great staff! For starters, the Pig Figs were yummy! Rib eye steaks were cooked to perfection, but some felt the gratin potatoes were a little undercooked. Great place for special events."

  • "My wife and I had a great dinner for our Anniversary! We had a couple of drinks at the bar while our table was being prepped (we arrived a bit early for our reservation) before we sat down. Christina is a fantastic bartender. Excellent drinks and customer service!"

  • "The food was terrific, accept for the half lobster. It was minuscule & slightly over cooked. Surprising since it is a $20 addition. There really should be sides on the entrees vs ordering ala carte. I had a $100 gift card that I was using towards our night out. We were then told that it could not be used because it was for Left Bank only. I pointed out that the card said LB Steak as well. A bit of a hassle and back/forth with mgmt. They ended up working out something with their "sister" restaurant and accepted the card. I suggest redesigning the gift card to differentiate between the two restaurants. The waiter was very kind and considerate (Chad) and had phenomenal recommendations. Ean, the mgr was able to make the adjustment with the GC."

  • "I have been to a great number of steakhouses and your aged ribeye was the best steak I have ever had. The entire group loved every sign item we ordered. The only exception being I ordered an Old Fashion and I don't think the bartender knew the proper receipt because it tasted like one I would get from a dive bar. Don't let that sway you though the food was worth every penny."

  • "This location is a sweet spot to take your love one to enjoy some delicious food and great atmosphere. The staff was so nice and took care of us through out our anniversary dinner. I had flowers sent to the restaurant before my reservation and the steak house had them ready and placed on our table before we arrived. We enjoyed the food specials they had on sunday but the pricing on all the food choices was not that bad. Great food for the price. The restaurant had great lighting and the noise level was great also. I have been to many other locations around and it's noisy but so far this spot is good. Our servers were good on making sure we are doing good and making our anniversary a great one. Online reservations was easy also...."

  • "Our server was excellent, as was the rest of the wait staff. The calamari appetizer was good, and the drinks were well-made. The steaks were a little overcooked and not as flavorful as I hoped for, but with how strongly the rest of the restaurant performed, it is worth another visit!"

  • "LB has had the best steaks i have tried so i always come back here just for that. All my pass experiences have been great although this time our server seemed to disappear for a while leaving us waiting for refills and to take orders. All the times ive been there it has always been busy but the previous servers seemed to handle it very well."

  • "We went there for my wife's birthday. The steaks are on the pricier side, and frankly what we got was nothing special. The steaks were cooked wrong, and lukewarm. It looked like they sat at the kitchen for a while before showing up to the table which really kills the effect. The service this night was pretty slow. We saw the waiter a total of 3 times, which seems odd for a higher end expensive restaurant like this. Our bill was over $200 with No alcoholic beverages. So pretty pricey for what they offer."

  • "I tasted aged meat, and it was excellent. The price is not cheap, but it's worthwhile for the food in this place."

  • "This was a very nice dining experience and perfect for a business dinner where it was nice to be able to have a discussion without noise and without servers rushing or bothering you. The food was excellent and the service was great."

  • "It was a Sunday night, so the restaurant wasn't too busy, but we still got mediocre service. The steaks and sides were fantastic, but our server seemed to be missing and unreachable. Maybe the servers are trying to balance both indoor and outside tables and can't keep both sections in sight. She was pleasant when we had her attention, she just wasn't around!"

  • "The menu prices are Mortonesque but the food quality is not. Nice location and good service, but when you see the bill you wish there had been more."

  • "We were surprised by the quality of food and nice service at LB Steak. The bone-in rib eye was amazing, not cheap, but well worth the price - if you are seeking a steak focused meal. Tasty appetizers, and sides round out for a very good meal."

  • "I ordered the Warm Smoked Chicken & Spinach Salad ($14.50 - smoked Petaluma chicken, Bloomsdale spinach, hard boiled egg, bacon, red onion, red peppers, sherry vinegar, feta). I asked for a LIGHTLY DRESSED salad - even told waiter I will send it back if there is too much dressing. It came out COVERED in dressing and dripping. I politely asked to have them make it with dressing on the side, since the kitchen didn't seem to understand "lightly dressed." I was told that the COULD NOT DO THAT b/c of the type of dressing. Yes - I understand how the dressing is made - however, before you pour it over the lettuce, you could PUT IT ON THE SIDE and let me put it on sparingly. Nope - not at LB Steak... I left VERY unsatisfied."

  • "First time here. From reservation to table waiting, smooth and nice without hassle. Bread, juice, water served. Side dishes french fries, mushrooms a little salty but yummy. 2 prime ribs good, 2 new york steak good, 2 filet migon over cooked (requested medium rare but came as medium/ medium well) Dessert delicious and really good ending to the meal. Price cheaper than Alexander Steakhouse but just need to take chance on the medium rare steak since our group had only 2 orders and they messed up 2. But the re-cook and served steaks were right exactly medium rare."

  • "For a high priced steak house, this was a joke. My steak was about one quarter fat, a big blob right in the middle. I'm not talking about marbled fat, or fat around the edges, but right in the middle. Never again."

  • "Went here to treat my dad for his 50th birthday. Made reservations the day before, and was pleasantly surprised by the ease of it. Our server was really nice, and was excellent to us. Our appetizer came out very quickly, then about 20 minutes later, our steaks came out. The steaks were amazing!! My one problem was that the fries that came with seemed to have a fishy after-taste to them, which probably meant they were cooked in the same oil as the calamari."

  • "You can show up in your Santana row shopping clothes and fit right in as well as dressing up. Not a complaint about our food! If one of your party does not eat beef the selection is limited but the chicken was delicious. Was very quiet when we arrived but noisey when we left. This is not an Alexander's but I gave it the excellent rating for what it is. We were given a gift card and probably would not have tried it otherwise but glad we did."

  • "I'm sorry to report that my husband and I shared a $48.00 Grissle (aka Prime New York Strip Steak). LB should be ashamed of themselves. I give them credit, however, as they did deduct it from the bill. We didn't go out to be "comped", we went out to have a nice dinner with friends so we'll be scratching them off our list of steak houses."

  • "This restaurant was the perfect choice for us to celebrate our 42nd wedding anniversary. The food was extremely good and the service was outstanding. The wine we ordered was very good too. It was my second time at this restaurant but I would definitely go back."

  • "We shared a special celebration with our daughter and her fiance last Saturday. I booked this reservation on Open Table and had very good success with this service. I asked for a special table and received a call to confirm the day before. The food was very good and the service was excellent! The wine list was extensive. We started with champagne before our appetizer course and ended with single malt scotch after dessert and coffee. It was truly a memorable occasion."

  • "My husband and I ordered the 14 oz. Wagyu beef to share but were quite disappointed. There was too much inedible fat on it and for $140, you'd think they'd pick a better cut. Not worth the sticker price. The fries, creamed spinach, olive bread roll, and service were all good but we definitely regretted ordering the beef."

  • "Great service, reasonably decent food. The shrimp cocktail shrimp were a bit past their prime, too many on the plate for an appetizer portion and very expensive. The strawberry salad was fine, but what I really want in a salad is something more Vibrant, Fresh, Alive, Crisp, Different-from-the-usual! My husband enjoyed his steak, but the au gratin potatoes were not evenly heated through - some parts quite cool, even though it was in a piping hot cast iron pan. The wine was excellent."
