  • Just Average

The food is not so good. The world famous meatball is average. They pounded the veal chop to the point it was thin as paper and dry. Waiter would not split the $21 salads. That is absurd. If you are going for the bar scene it is fine--just eat before someplace else. Too many other great choices on the Strip.

I have to say I was REALLY excited to secure a reservation for our group of 8. I've been to Lavo in NYC and was expecting more, I guess. The physical space and vibe was cool, but the dining experience was pretty underwhelming. The food was average (at best) and the server was pretty pompous and inattentive. Totally disappointed in our experience.

Lavo was a good experience as always. We've been 4 times (2 times in NY) and it's always good food although the one in Vegas is better. The meatball is delicious, the steak is divine and the oreo dessert is one of my favourites! One thing that just wasn't OK is that after the Espresso they brought a new large bottle of water and filled all the glasses. If you're waiting on the bill you don't need water anymore so this seemed like a desperate way to get more money. When our bill already was above 550 dollars, without the tip, for 4 persons. We ordered to much side dishes cause one is even big enough for 4. Normally it's like 70 euro per person when we dine here which is totally worth it. Now it was over 100 euro which was a bit too much.

You have to try the rice balls and the ratings are right on with the meatballs. I cook Italian food with gravy made from scratch removing the skin and seeds of the tomatoes. My family, friends and others all rave so I think I'm a good judge of Italian food. These meatballs were better than my own. Now I need to up my game at home.

A friend who lives in LV recommended this spot for my daughter's 21st birthday celebration. Upscale but not snobbish, good food without breaking the bank. The food was great and we had a really nice experience. The only negatives were that we felt rushed because every time someone at our table put their fork down or stopped eating for a minute, the wait staff would try to take the plate (with food still on it)! They were very aggressive. We must have told them at least 5 times that we were not done with the meal. Additionally, most restaurants bring the birthday person a complimentary treat to celebrate the occasion. They charged us for the dessert. Maybe that's just how they do it in LV, but I was a bit surprised. Overall good though.

Do make a reservation and there will be no waiting for a table. We had 7:15 reservations and had a great leisurely meal before a 10:00 show at Caesar's. Very professional service. Party of four for dinner, we shared the Baked Clams Oregano and the Steamed Mussels and Clams. Both were good, but next time I would skip the Baked Clams. Sister had the Four Cheese Ravioli, small portion, but delicious. My brother had the Seabass and enjoyed it. Sister-in-law thoroughly enjoyed her Ahi Tartar appetizer as an entrée. I had the Penne with Seafood in a lite cream sauce and it ROCKED. This was by far the best meal I had on this trip. Make sure you save room for dessert, we shared a huge 20+ layer chocolate/peanut butter cake, worth every calorie!

We were celebrating a birthday and sadly the meal didnt go well. Our waitress seemed bothered to take our orders and it just got worse from there. They provided one small loaf of complimentary bread to our table of 5, which happens to be the same size the provide for a table of 2. We asked for another loaf and we didn't get it until we asked for the 4th time and were told it's $6 for them to butter and garlic it, but they could bring a plain loaf instead. They brought the bread after our meal concluded and we no longer had any dishes or utensils on our table. Such rude staff- no smiles, barely contained eyerolls. At that point we were done and just wanted to leave. So many strip restaurants to choose from we won't be back.

We arrived at Lavo after watching a Cirque show in celebration of my husband's birthday. The show ran later than I expected but we called and the hostess assured us we'd be served if we got there by 11:50pm (they close for dinner at 12am on a Monday). We were seated on the patio overlooking the Vegas Strip and our waiter, Brendan, as well as the other staff, were extremely attentive and we never felt rushed. Since it was late we ordered cocktails, appetizers and 2 desserts. As for the appetizers, two of the highlights were the Kobe Stuffed Rice Balls and the ginormous Kobe Meatball with Whipped Ricotta. They were amazing! For dessert, we got the Bread Pudding and Oreo Zeppoles. Again, both were delicious! Can't wait to come back!

The food and service were good. The music was too loud and woud have preferred a different type of background music instead of electronica. The restaurant was so incredibly cold that my party did not even enjoy our meals. We asked of they coud turn down the air but they said unfortunately the hotel controlled the temperature. We didn't even stay for dessert, we just wanted toget out of the cold and I barely enjoyedy meal because it was so cold.

Went on a Friday night and it wasn't quiet but that's fine with us but if you want something romantic and quiet you may need to go earlier or not on a weekend evening. The bar picks up around 9 and is a great place to relax and have an after dinner drink. Always be sure to get the MEATBALL!!! My FAV!!!!

My husband and I come to Las Vegas about twice a year. We've eaten at a ton of restaurants. Lavo was both of our favorite place to eat. The place is beautiful, the service is impeccable and the food was amazing. You MUST get a meatball appetizer, best thing we ate. My husband had the veal Parmesan and I had the chicken and mushroom ravioli. We typically like to try new restaurants each time we visit Vegas, but will def go back next time we are in town.

The hostess brings us to our table and it looks like someone threw the table wear in a pile and left it there. They make us wait while they fixed it. Server seemed uninterested all togeher in being there. The food was truly delicious, so cheers to the chef. We get our pasta and every other bite is cold. I politely asked to have it warmed up, server took it the the manager, who did NOT come up and apologize for it, server brings it up asking "why don't you test it to see if it's warm enough to your standards." Bus boys kept moving and trying to take away our food mid bite, one ran into my chair so hard that it turned sideways and kept going. Took 40 min to get check and pay, our waiter disappeared. We had to stop a manager who could care les

Great all around place for both style and substance. Lavoisier may draw you in due to his image and abundance of beautiful people and great location, but it will get you to come back based on his delicious food, selections and service. We come to Vegas often and make sure we dine at the best places while here as part of our experience. Lavoisier has joined the "must visit" rotation based on always having a positive experience regardless of our mood. This last time we had a late dinner with friends and split entrees to not over do it. No problem here. Our Spaghetti Carbonara was super with the basis being perfect pasta. Service is always exceptional. Atmosphere is great. Lots of groups celebrating and gorgeous people everywhere.
