Lavandou RestaurantGreat food, but noisy.I enjoy going to Lavandou and this time was no exception. The food was great. However, unlike previous trips the restaurant was quite loud. We were close to a large group table and both groups that occupied it were boisterous to the point that my wife and I could barely hear each other speak. We started with appetizers (salad Lavandou and house rillettes), then between us, we had the salmon, filet, and chicken and all tried each others. Every entree was absolutely delicious. We also tried a bottle of Cote du Rhone with dinner, which was also very tasty. Service was very good, attentive without being intrusive. For my friends, it was their first. They both opted for the $25 meal (appetizer + entree) and between us, we selected the salmon, chicken and filet. Every entree was absolutely delicious and we all tasted each others. Paired them with a lovely bottle of Cote du Rhone. Portions were very large, especially considering the $25 combo. Service for our group was very good, with water on the table before we ordered, listing the specials twice (one for each end of the table), bread baskets after we ordered. Appetizers came out in two deliveries one right after the other, and same with the entrees so that no one was waiting. Just a 2 minute walk. We thoroughly enjoyed everything. The lemon pie w/ homemade meringue was to die for!! If you order mussells, you get a whole pot! And they're the huge mussells not the puney ones. We couldn't even eat all of ours. We also had the roasted veggie app and it was amazing. We went here because we had a living social voucher. I invited two friends to celebrate my recent retirement. We all ordered from the specials for the evening menu and were delighted with our food. I particularly liked the fact that the waitstaff did not rush us from our table after we had finished the main course and were enjoying coffee.
