  • "Celebrated a birthday with friends on the patio and it was an amazing evening. Will definitely return..."

  • "We had been recommended by friends as we are from outside the city. The staff were fantastic and looked after us so well, had a great night and would love to come back."

  • "The scene is always lively and good for people watching but the food is hit or miss. I've had good dining experiences and I have also had very mediocre ones. The vibe is good enough to keep coming back but you have to know what to get and what not to. I love the chicken liver mouse."

  • "A perfect balance of good food and drink in a unique setting. Very busy place to see and be seen without sacrificing quality of the service or the items served. It is the place to be on a Saturday night in WEHO even late for a light meal. The menu selections are somewhat limited offering a narrow choice of mostly small plate food options but we enjoyed everything we tried from the ribs, to lollipop salad, and marinated steak ( the classic pizza was good but too spicy for more than a bite). We will be back."

  • "The hostesses on arrival were very friendly. Never been here before and only passing as I have driven by which is misleading; once you see the back room and the outdoor dining area, I was blown away; especially knowing the real hardware store. Even though we were told when called to confirm the reservation that we have no choice on what room or the outdoor area we wanted to sit in, it was totally up to them , sort of bothered me. Even when I asked again, the answers were not great & seemed to be more based on whom they were seating than what the CUSTOMER wanted. Overall, ambiance very good, service excellent, food was very good but not amazing. All in all though would recommend and would go back."

  • "We had the four of the small plates, called Greens. Three were excellent and one was good. The blistered tomatoes and lollipop sprouts were memorable. The two pizzas were surprisingly good, great thin bubbly crusts. The corn pizza was different and exceptional. Our server had extremely helpful suggestions and was friendly and attentive."

  • "This is not a food spot, more a trendy bar scene, it's the "it" spot for the next 5 min., food not that good, they're just churning it out , cardboard pizza, go if you want a bar scene, loud music - good for drinks, not dinner"

  • "Great service, great drinks, great food, great atmosphere. Just awesome."

  • "Cute trendy place with good-looking young patrons. Our waitress was super-pleasant but lacking in competence. Orders didn't come out. Manager helped her out. Food was okay. Beautiful space unfolds as you walk in. Nice patio."

  • "I've eaten here a few times now and it's always been dependable and fun. Bartendar pour strong drinks and the place is always popping with a nice vibe. It's the food, though, that makes me come back. This time some fried squash blossoms and a blistered tomato salad were fantastic. Because they don't have any true vegetarian entrees ( my only complaint) I had the mushroom pizza which was also really good. Service is consistent though some of the bartenders come off as thinking they're a lot cuter than they really are. This is a good choice for a casual night out with friends. Hasn't let me down yet!"

  • "Food was good! but service was okay. I asked for red pepper flakes for the pizza we ordered and the waiter never brought it to us. 20 mins later, I asked again. I got it 10 mins later. Our waitress was busy but I would think that in a span of 25 mins, she would have at least came by to see how we were doing."

  • "We had a nice time, but I still don't get the hype. Overall, really nice experience. Food was good, not impressive. A bit overpriced."

  • "I couldn't believe this spot as once an actual hardware store. There are three rooms. The front is small and intimate, the middle is vibrant with a great bar, and the back is an outside, very cool area with bar too. The food was amazing, and the service was great! I will definitely go back!"

  • "Went here for a birthday brunch and it was perfect. Outside seating is a great atmosphere and the staff was very accommodating to our large party. The food was great and the mimosas were too."

  • "Took an out-of-town friend here for her first dinner in LA. Great lowkey vibe, fantastic natural lighting and outdoor seating. Only helps that it's on a great neighborhood. Chairs/tables are a bit unique- but fit with the vibe."

  • "This was a joke. had a reservation at 10:30 for 7 people. They make us wait 45 minutes and at 11:15 finally tell us that our table is ready but random people are sitting at it and they don't want to move them so we had to take a bad table at the front/ What a JOKE!"

  • "great fun....great service, good food but when inconsiderate guests spill a full cocktail mid dinner and no one is accountable place sucks."

  • "Perfect food, nice environment. Noisy but not disturbing. Fantastic, will definitely recommend this place to my friends and will sure come back next time in LA!!"

  • "Great ambiance. Loved the tapas style menu. Great for sharing. Was a very busy Friday night and service was a tad slow, but our server was very friendly. I can't wait to come back. Thanks for being a gem of a "hardware" restaurant. Highly recommended."

  • "A friend recommended Laurel Hardware, I used to frequent it when it was an actual hardware store. It was an amazing experience from beginning to end, I received a personal call to confirm my reservation, my party of 4 was seated promptly at 7:00pm, our waitress Ali was informative (one of my friends has gluten allergies, Ali saved us from a possible order issue related to ingredients), available, and had a wonderful personality. They have a great wine and cocktail list to choose from, the food came promptly, looked great, but more importantly tasted amazing. The space never felt as big when it was an actual hardware store. They did an impressive job with creating stylish indoor/outdoor spaces."

  • "Really great drinks, cool vibe and atmosphere and food is okay. My only complaint is having to wait an hour even with dinner reservations."

  • "We have been wanting to try this place out for a very long time. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked into the restaurant. The outward appearance is very deceptive of how the inside might look. WOW!!! I love restaurants that make an outdoor space within an urban area. Our waitress was wonderful and amazing and made some great recommendations. Definitely have to try a "buzz button" but eat it alittle bite at a time with your meal. We will definitely be back."

  • "Great ambiance! Service was a bit lacking but I saw the server was tending to the front of the restaurant and the back. Overall it was a nice place to have some drinks and dinner."

  • "I LOVE Laurel Hardware. The ambiance, the service and the food are all exquisite. Our waiter was Nathan. He stands out in a major way service wise. He is fantastic. Food wise, we LOVED the swordfish and the pork ribs. The wine was perfect."

  • "Went with out of town visitors and was very pleasantly surprised. Dynamic energy and vibe. Patio and lounge are happening and front dining area overlooking kitchen is very nice. Service was good but food is reason to go. I had outstanding burger. Our guests all enjoyed their selections from brunch menu. Would highly recommend."

  • "Mediocre food. Poor service. The hostess/reservation person could use some etiquette training. I am not sure what the night scene is like here but, based on what I see waiting in line .. a lot of people trying to prove something."

  • "We have been to this restaurant two times on Friday and Saturday nights, and both times with a group of friends. Each visit, we loved the service, the ambience and the energy of this former hardware store, and everyone was in agreement that the food was good, but not great. Our group of 9 ordered most everything from the heavily salted, family style (finger food) type menu. Groups of 6 or more are limited to a 2.5 hour stay, and afterwards you will be asked to leave, which was not an issue for our group. There is a very-very vibrant bar scene with lots of young, good-looking (mostly straight) patrons at the bar, and lined-up down the sidewalk to get in this place. Lines to the 3 shared (unisex) restrooms were often 10 people long."

  • "Great food & service but longest restroom wait ever.......!"

  • "Laurel Hardware was an extremely fun and trendy restaurant/bar. I went for the first time with a friend to check it out for dinner because we had heard so much hype. The design was very appealing, with the busy bar area spilling out into smaller, more private dining areas and eventually a beautiful outdoors area. We were seated on a couch inside with a view of the outside, next to two groups celebrating birthdays. Our waitress was extremely sweet and gave great menu recommendations. I will 100% be back to witness the scene at night on weekends, and to try the new seasonal items. However, it was difficult to eat gracefully off the low table provided, and it was especially hard to flag down our waitress despite her walking by constantly."

  • "The food is amazing, the service is a little lacking in that it is too casual for the kind of place it could be. We went at 7pm and by the time we left, it was mostly packed like a nightclub and way too loud. I suggest go early unless you like for annoying, loud, drunk people trying to pick up others pretty much standing right next to you while you eat. "

  • "Laurel Hardware is one of those LA places where beautiful people and stars hang out. Normal people will get less service, the food is average but it is fun to watch the scene."

  • "Great food, good drinks, a great vibe & a ton of beautiful people. The service for dinning is exceptional. Try the lollipop sprouts. You won't be disappointed! Bar service is a little slow but it probably because this place is packed every night of the week. If you can find a seat on the back patio you'll be in a little slice of weho heaven. "

  • "Its great for just the two of you on any given night or for a groups of friends in from out of town! Love the garden out back. Great location. Gets more and more crowded and energetic as the night wears on. Mushroom pizza is delicious and decadent."

  • "There are no reserved seats (except for regulars or celebrities) so it was a wait to get a good seat on the patio, but was worth it. Fabulous food, wonderful service a great experience. "
