"A friend and I visited the Fairmont for High Tea and found it completely delightful! I had been before, many moons ago, and found it had improved tenfold! The treats are tasty, the tea is perfect, and the service is great. It helped of course that their were only a handful of High Tea-ers that day so the focus was on us. But always a good spot to visit, especially if you're a fan of High Tea!"

"A bit over priced for what you get. I thought the new selection for tea service was "repetitive" with two egg salad-style sandwiches. I much preferred previous selection. Tea excellent as were scones, desserts. Service at door was awkward as we were not acknowledged and couple in front were scolded for not having reservations although restaurant was less than half full. Our table server did basic minimum and did check once but did not seem happy at all. He did not appear slammed but .....

Still, tea here is tradition and was worth it. Note that they do add the service charge so don't over tip. We are generous but only when deserved. Adding service fees is more common &Fairmont is not to blame but this nickel and dime gets ol"

"I made reservations here for Sunday brunch because my grandparents used to take me to a mommoth brunch at the Fairmont Hotel when I was a child. I was very disappointed. The food was mediocre,the food choices were very limited, and the price was way too high for such limited offerings. The service was okay. With all the other great places to eat in SF, I would not recommend this option."

"My wife and I were celebrating our five year wedding anniversary. Between the great ambiance, the fantastic food, the great cocktails and the surprise anniversary dessert, we were quite pleased. Service was spot-on and unobtrusive, and our server was quite helpful with suggestions. We will happily return and visit again!"

"Dinner here was great, had the Organic baby veggies and Steak Tartare, presentation was excellent thanks to our server. Had the filet which was overcooked but still delicious thanks to the quality and the garlic aoili. Husband had the duck, said the beans were a bit undercooked but everything else still really good. Dessert brought foie gras ice cream in a trio which was actually very good. I had creme brulee which was wonderful! The restaurant is beautiful and the service was so good we returned for breakfast and ordered off the menu. The food is pricey but well worth it. I wish 4.75 was an option since the food wasn't absolutely perfect but they score points with me for having black napkins!"

"Wonderful service and food quality.
Like a lot that the waiter put a lot of smile of them and very friendly.
Food is fantastic. Love the tea set we had and we actually got pretty full after eating 80% of the set.
Spot lights food are: egg salad finger sandwich, chicken sandwich and cranberry scone. Love the scone with light butter and lemon custard.
Teas are wonderful and the blend is pretty unique."

"Afternoon Tea average. Not too upscale as compare to other 5 stars hotels worldwide. Great for sitting down with friends but not for the food or table settings. Great service though."
