I must say previous two visits in March we found a bit more interesting menu than this time, thus 4 stars instead of 5.
They have very creative drinks and excellent quality food to choose from.

It was a fun way to try items that we might not have ordered otherwise. We enjoyed a 5 course chef's choice for 2 which consisted of various small plate food groups. Everything was delicious, and our waiter explained all of the courses very well. This was an unusual dining experience, but one that will be remembered for a long time. In the past I have enjoyed their "small plates" style menu which is eclectic but good. While it was "mud season" (off season to non-locals) the menu was a bit llimited in the offerings. Still with a non-beef and pork eating couple, we still managed to find some lovely dishes that did not disappoint. The portions are small, however, I enjoy ordering a variety of dishes so I can get a larger sampling of what a restaurant has to offer. The dishes were very nicely presented and tasty. I also enjoyed my cocktail which was a concoction of honey, rum and lemon juice but served in too small a glass (2 - 3 good sips and it was gone). So I ordered a second!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious Surprise!Everything was outstanding...the menu changes seasonally and we had the lox, brussel sprout hash, roasted beet salad, brisket philly and gorgonzola cheesecake. We were told "small plates" designed to share and there was more than enough food. The drink menu is outstanding! Try the Fiery Margarita or the Kentucky Fall - both excellent! The wine list is extensive but we didn't even look at it because the cocktails were so delicious. The historical ambiance is perfect!!! Our server was very helpful in choosing enough, but not too many items to share, as this is a restaurant where the plates are for sharing, usually about 2-4 tastings per plate. As we moved along through our meal, a few members of our party were getting full, so we were able to cancel one of the main courses, two plates, without any problems. He had great knowledge of the menu, and of the history of the building, which was originally a Laundry in the early 1900's and again in the 1970's. The food was delicious, a lot of different items, cheeses, charcuterie, vegetables, salads, and meats. Laundry was without a doubt the best restaurant we have been to in a town with some pretty good restaurants. Every single dish was extremely well executed and very tasty. Creative use of ingredients and great presentation, along with excellent service, put Laundry at the top of the list for people who enjoy great food.
