  • "while the setting is beautiful. the service is lacking. took almost 10 minutes before initial greet from the waiter. the waiter was unable to make recommendations - "I havent had that in a while" or "they're usually good". the food was good but not outstanding. the soup of the day carrot/ginger was actually tomato basil. the heirloom tomatoes on the chicken ceasar weren't "roasted" as described on the menu. "

  • "The beautiful outdoor location by Oak Creek is a highlight of the dining experience. Heat lamps fend off any hint of chill. The prix fixe menu is diverse and imaginative, if pricey, and the food portions tasty, but small. The wine list is high-end and also pricey. Service is very attentive. This is the place for a special occasion, but reserve well in advance. "

  • "The babbling creek, up-lit cottonwoods, and impeccable service make this an incredibly special spot to dine outdoors. The food is simple, French-influenced and delicious. Reserve ahead. We had dinner, lunch and then dinner again during our four day stay in Sedona. World class. And the valet parking guys don't accept tips. "

  • "Food was very good, high end French. Colorado lamb and filet mignon were prepared perfectly. My favorite was the Bibb salad with dungeoness crab meat and blue cheese. Desserts were also yummy although "conservative". What makes it worth five stars is the gorgeous location, right on beautiful Oak Creek. Doesn't get much more romantic. All in all, very pricey but justified by quality of food and the setting. "

  • "The perfect location, right on Oak Creek! Wonderful food and great, unhurried service makes this a special dinner every time."

  • "My wife and I enjoyed dinner, brunch, bar food, and wine during our 5 night stay. We were never disappointed. The service was exceptional (Thank you, Cheryl and Cody). The filet was extremely well prepared. Brunch competes with other top-notch establishments (ritz-carlton, W, etc). The bar food did not disappoint. The wine list is like 40 pages."

  • "A fabulous evening with wonderful cuisine. This location is a gem for a romantic evening of delightful food and service. We were not disappointed and would return. Early evening dining allows you to see the lighting changes throughout the evening. "

  • "My husband took me to L'Auberge Restaurant on Oak Creek twice over the weekend while celebrating my 30th Birthday. We were staying at the Resort (Exceptional), so we decided to dine at the restaurant for Lunch on Saturday and then again for Brunch on Sunday (A MUST DO)! We have also had dinner there about a year ago in celebration of our wedding anniversary! We honestly can't say a bad thing about this place. We are in love with every aspect of this restaurant from the food, which is to die for, to the service which is really top notch. We decided to enjoy a light lunch when we arrived, and they seated us at a perfect table right by the water. We had a nice bottle of Champagne and enjoyed the experience. Everything we consumed was stelar!"

  • "Great service, food, and outdoor dining experience."

  • "Great, but too expensive and unreasonably so. They could offer lesser expensive options instead of a 'fixed' menu. But overall, I consider it a once in a lifetime occasion. I will be back when I win the lottery. The food was incredible, service was great, and the view/ambiance was fantastic."

  • "My wife and I ate here for our first anniversary breakfast and could not have picked a better place. The food is delicious and the staff is fantastic. Our table was withing feet of the creek and we enjoyed the soft babble of water which enhances the feeling of privacy and intimacy while dining. We will definitely come back."

  • "This was a special occasion as it was my birthday. The service was professional and impeccable. The food was outstanding. Highly recommend this for someone who is celebrating a birthday and/or anniversary. The ambiance was outstanding seated close to creekside. This restaurant was highly suggested to us and to order food recommended by the chef. Indeed the meal was scrumptious and delectable as we ordered salmon and filet mignon. The waiter was courteous and not over bearing as he serviced our table when appropriately. Michael was a top notch server and catered to our needs. We loved coming there for our first experience in fine dining in Sedona. Highly recommend the restaurant to every one."

  • "Had a fantastic meal with an old friend. The food was such a refreshing change. Each course interesting and unique and flavors that came together to create a meal like certainly nothing I could or would have dreamt up in my own kitchen. The presentation and the creek side location complimented and enhanced a truly memorable experience. Loved it"

  • "We had dinner at L'Aberge Restaurant on the outside terrace for dinner. Becca was our server and she was fabulous. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is very special, being right on the water of Oak Creek. Very peaceful. We had the 3 course meal and the food was excellent."

  • "Beyond our expectations even though we had always heard this is a must go place when visiting Sedona. Could not have been prettier with the creek, birds, and waterfowl as a backdrop. And the food and service was terrific. Lunch was ideal as it is a pricey place to go, but well worth it. Nice finale is that the valets refused tips. "It's complementary and we are glad you visited us." Soooo Sedona!"

  • "L'Auberge was a flawless siding experience for us. From the pear martini to the amazing amuse bouche, the crab crepe to the filet mignon, the food was exquisite. Terrific service, too. The only negative was the weather which prevented any outdoor seating (and dining creekside is supposed to be the best!) but certainly not the fault of the restaurant. Great place!!!!!!"

  • "Food was unique & outstanding. I know it was a tasting menu but wish the portions were a bit bigger. Overall staff was very attentive. Setting on the creek was romantic- every table has their own heat lamp or two so no worries on being cold when the sun goes down."

  • "The outdoor patio which sits nestled alongside Oak Creek provides a wonderful backdrop for the myriad of taste pleasures that are brought your way. Yes, it's spendy. Yes. It's worth it. Try the Sunday breakfast brunch. Your whole mouth and soul will thank you. Unforgettable."

  • "This was the most beautiful most romantic place I have ever been to in my life. I have traveled all over the world. It took my breath away. The service was fantastic."

  • "Everything we ate at L'Auberge was unique, you could not get the same preparation anywhere else. I liked the fixed price - you choose 3 courses or 4 courses and pick what you want and don't worry about the price. The most delectable items were the tortellini , the scallops, and the two first desserts listed on the menu: a meringue with lemon inside, and a chocolate ganache I think. wonderful flavors! The service was outstanding. We wish the boisterous group at the other end of the room hadn't been there to take away from the ambience, but you can't control that. At least we were seated as far away from them as possible."

  • "I did not know what to expect when my wife booked this restaurant, but the food, ambiance and service were just great. Get a brookside table if possible, don't fall in...."

  • "This is by far the most beautiful setting in Sedona for Sunday brunch - you sit creekside and have the calming waters of Oak Creek as background music. For fish lovers, the crab, shrimp, salmon, mussels and oysters were super fresh and abounding. If you do not like fish, there are plenty of of other offerings to please you. The service is impeccable. You are treated like a VIP from start to finish. Stay as long as you wish, the entire staff is very accomodating. The champagne flows like the creek itself and goes beautifully with all the offerings. It may be a bit pricey compared to other venues, but well worth it in terms of the ambience, service and food. You will not regret trying it. It is now a must for me when visiting Sedona."

  • "L'Auberge is one of the best places in Sedona for Sunday brunch. Sitting by the Oak Creek with the sun shining through the trees - drinking champagne or mimosas, and eating fabulous brunch selections - what could be better?"

  • "Excellent views on the creeksid dining...Food is excellent but service is somewhat slow..."

  • "What an amazing table setting, right by the creek, hearing the water and seeing ducks, as we were tucked under heat lamps for our wonderful dinner! The food matched the atmosphere! We loved the parsnip soup, the pork belly and foie gras appetizer, the red snapper, duck and lamb entrees, and my deconstructed pistachio cheesecake. We were surprised by the prix fixe - I somehow didn't notice that beforehand, so it makes for a more expensive meal, but it really was spectacular. Our server, Becca, was a delight - thoughtful, pleasant, knowledgeable. One of the best meals of our vacation."

  • "The only issue with L'Auberge restaurant is finding it. Get detailed directions. No one knows where it is and it's been there forever. Once you're there, the ambiance dining alongside Oak Creek can't be beat. Food very good, wine list great. It's pricy and worth it."

  • "We took a weekend getaway from visiting spring training sites in Phoenix to revisit Sedona. Our last trip was 30+ years ago and Sedona was not the tourist mecca it is today. We wanted an upscale hotel and were not disappointed by L'Auberge and had to eat dinner there too. We ate a bit early in part to enjoy the late afternoon views of Oak Creek (pretty much the only "noise" mentioned above) and to experience moonrise. The setting was spectacular. The service wonderful. And the food was delicious. You can choose your size of prix fixe dinners and the smaller one suited us just fine. Appetizer, entree and dessert -- all we needed, plus a great bottle of local AZ wine suggested by our waiter. We hope to revisit this lovely place."

  • "My boyfriend and I wanted to have a romantic night out, and it was everything we hoped for. The ranting river literally at our feet, the warmth of the gas torch by our table, the courtesy of the servers, excellent dinner and wine... And on top of all that we experience full moon and bright stars that added to the ambiance. We highly recommend it for a special occasion. It won't be cheap, but you don't want it to be cheap on a special romantic evening with your lover."
    Dined on 3/16/2014
  • "The smooth, friendly service and the most gorgeous setting provided the backdrop for a spectacular evening. Even though the evening temperatures were cool- they provided a tall heater for each table. And the food---wow! From the dungeness crab crepe to the filet and later the delicious chocolate lava cake-like dessert, we were so pleased with everything we tasted. It is an expensive evening, but one we will remember for a long time."

  • "First-timers that heard about it from friends in Arizona. Totally pleased with our table at creek side, the food, and the service. Will definitely return if ever in Sedona again. Highly recommended!"

  • "Our recent visit to dine was not as good as we remember it from 20 years ago. The food was OK and good, but not a WOW factor I expect from the prices you pay. We also had an extensive wait for our main dish, after the appetizer and we were sitting outside, a somewhat breezy night, although they do have gas heat lanterns, I was out for about 10 min. and with the breeze, didn't do the job, but this was our only choice for sittings. Also, usually it seems wine at a restaurant, is double the cost of what you may pay at a store, but our glasses of wine was the cost of an entire bottle. Probably won't go back, will try other places next time. If you want atmosphere and that trumps the food, this is the place !"
