Diner Reviews
  • "My husband and I just celebrated out 10th anniversary by heading to Key West for a few days. I read about Latitudes and it looked so romantic that I thought it was the perfect place for a special occasion dinner. We were not disappointed! Excellent food and the scenery was breathtaking. Make sure you book your reservation early though! I booked a month in advance and still didn't get the exact time I wanted. The best time to go is at sunset, but dusk is also beautiful. Even after we arrived, we had to wait almost 45 minutes for our table. Just plan to have a couple of drinks at the bar first and don't let it spoil the evening."

  • "This was our second time at Latitudes while visiting Key West. Latitudes will not disappoint and I would recommend it to anyone. The food is of the highest quality, and the service matches!"

  • "Great ambiance. The view was beautiful. The food was the best I have had in the keys. It is a little pricey, but 100% worth the money. We only went for lunch because we had a sunset cruise planned at dinnertime. It was my boyfriend's first time and he loved it. He said it was the best grouper sandwich he has ever had. I got the crab and lobster cake. I have never had so much lobster and crab ever! I cant wait to go back for dinner. If you have a chance, I highly recommend checking this place out. "

  • "Latitudes offers wonderful sights and food, albeit at hefty prices. But you can't beat eating outside, watching the sunset, and enjoying fabulous preparations. I only wish they had more staff. Our server was managing several tables, and there were two groups of 15 persons or more which commanded the attention of the kitchen. Overall, however, for a special occasion or visit to Key West, this is a one-of-a-kind experience."

  • "one of the best meals in years... from the boat ride to and from to the food everything was just right"

  • "Cannot stop talking about this place! Reservations are required and a short 5 min boat trip is required to step into this fantastic setting. Arrive the dock at least 5 mins before your reservation time . They are prompt in departure. Loved everything about the restaurant ... Upscale, fantastic drinks and dinner. It's open air but if you prefer, you can dine under a rooftop by one of their two bars. The porch bar is awesome as well. Service is attentive and friendly. The sunset in itself is worth the experience!"

  • "..if you want the sunset. We had a 7:45 reservation and did not get seated until 8:30....while we were annoyed, management handled it well and the food and ambiance took over from there. We go to Key West every year and aside fromt he wait, this was the best dining experience we have had there."

  • "This was a "ten" . The bar, restaurant, service, ambience all spectacular. My daughter would like to have her wedding at Sunset Key, after dining here. Dinner was pricey .....but worth the experience. "

  • "Just know that your reservation time is actually when you catch the boat to be taken out to the private island. While kids are welcome this is not a kid friendly environment. This is a romantic, business, and scenic environment. Absolutely wonderful experience. One of the top 3 restaurants in all of Key West!"

  • "Our dining experience was great! Food, service and location was top notch! Would definitely make the effort to dine here again. One important item make sure you realize your reservation time is your boat launch time!!"

  • "My husband and I dined here during the evening hours. As expected, we were unable to secure a reservation for sunset. However, the food was delicious, the staff pleasant, and the price fair. Since the view is the true allure, we'll choose a lunch or brunch hour next time. "

  • "This was the second time to the restaurant and it is again the perfect experience starting with the boat ride over to the restaurant. We will be back again next month!"

  • "I visited Latitudes on my recent trip to Key West. I've been to Key West twice previously but neglected to check out Latitudes. That's since been remedied. The food is fantastic and the views can't be beat. Taking the ferry over to Sunset Key just added to the whole experience. I'd easily go here again and wouldn't hesitate to suggest it to friends. It's also a nice spot to get away from the touristy hustle and bustle of Duval Street (not that there's anything wrong with that!)."

  • "In searching for a restaurant that would be perfect for a special birthday dinner, this was the restaurant I selected. When booking your reservation, the time you select is actually your boat departure time NOT your table seating time. The boat takes you ten minutes out to a private island, Sunset Key. Tables are both inside and outside. I suggest outside especially if you are there around sunset. Some of the best views of the sunset you'll get anywhere. Our server Tonya was five star and really made the birthday dinner one to remember for years to come. Highly suggest the crab and lobster cakes. Entree-wise, we did the surf and turf as well as wasabi crusted grouper. Phenomenal. We will be back!!"

  • "We made reservations well in advance and it was well worth it. Took the shuttle boat from the Key West dock. We were treated to a lovely window seat. Our poached lobster and scallops were some of the best ever. The staff was very attentive and answered my drink and food questions. Everything was wonderful - quite a birthday memory."

  • "What a wonderful experience my husband and I had at Latitudes. Fantastic drinks (key lime colada - YUM!) and fantastic food. The lobster bisque was delicious and the skirt steak was one of the best I've had. If you want to see Key West's gorgeous sunset and eat amazing food at the same time, go to Latitudes. Be sure to check when the sunset is before you make your reservations so you don't miss it! The ferry ride out to the restaurant took less than 10 minutes...easy little trip and so worth it."

  • "This is my favorite place in Key West! - The ocean views are gorgeous and both the food and service is excellent - The best views are during the day, but there is a romantic ambience in the evening too."

  • "There is a hostess on the launch(water shuttle) that verifies your reservation. The ride out to Sunset Key is very nice, We live on the water here in Key West, but it's still very beautiful. Inside the restaurant, we asked to go to the bar, and there we met Katie B. We had the whole bar to ourselves, which was fantastic. Food; We recommend the Lobster and crab cake... WOW, a staff fav. Also the Artisan cheese platter, OMG... We also had the Carpaccio (beef), which was the best we've had in Key West in over six years. Of course we drank loads of Vodka and Wine. We loved this place, Atmosphere, the food, and the service.. All were excellent."

  • "Besides the outstanding meal from soup to nuts, the setting and view of the water and sunset made a perfect evening for a group of 8 of us that were on a special vacation. This is a must stop when you're in Key West"

  • "This place has it all. Great food, great drinks, great service and fabulous setting. My wife had the yellow tail snapper and I had the surf and turf. Both were out of this world. The filet was one of "the" best steaks I've ever had. Everything from the boat ride out to the desert was done right. You are situated so the sunset thru the palms is very much a part of the ambiance. The night we were there was an unusually chilly and windy night for Key West. They have several upright lamp, torch, heater gizmos that do a great job of warming things up. If you like a sweet cocktail, try the banana banchee. It is "KILLER!""

  • "What an amazing dining experience. We are a couple from New Orleans, so pretty critical when it comes to food. We were extremely impressed with the food here at Latitudes. Our reservation was for 745 so we came a little earlier (around 645) to make sure we were there for sunset. What a spectacular experience! We sat at the bar and thoroughly enjoyed the sunset and quiet ambience the restaurant offers. Definitely the best place to catch the sunset!!! Staff was also friendly and above and beyond. Cost a little steep but not much more than what we spent at another restaurant the night before ( and much better food and ambience). My only complaint is our reservation was for 745 and we did not sit until 845. Highly highly recommend!!!!"

  • "Wife and I ate dinner at Latitudes on April 12 - great experience. The location of the restaurant is an island off the coast of Key West. If you are not staying at the hotel (which we were not) you take a ferry to the restaurant. The restaurant and the grounds that it is on are spectacular. Great view of the ocean and really, really beautiful at dusk. Very romantic for couples. We both had fish entrees, wine and split Key Lime Pie. Food was very good - not "best I've ever had," but very good. If you drink alcohol, plan on spending about $70-$80 per person including tip. You pay for the view but it's worth it. Note - reservation time is based on ferry departure (:15 or :45 after) so factor in for sunset view - sun set on trip out for us!"

  • "We went for lunch and had a terrific experience. The ride over in the boat was short and sweet. Our table had an amazing view and our server could not have been more attentive. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. The carpaccio was excellent! My husband's fish tacos were wonderful. Everything was superb!"

  • "I tried to make a dinner reservation to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday, but since the earliest time I could get even two weeks before, was 8:45 pm, I decided to go for lunch. The view is magnificent, the food excellent, service wonderful. Drinks were delicious, but pricey. For a special occasion, definitely a spot to consider."

  • "The setting, especially at sunset is hard to beat. The food on the otherhand could be better, especially given the prices. My fish was dry, and my husband's meal was just average. The service was passable, but needs training-again, in light of the pricing. The waiter was surprised when we asked for a larger table; the 2 tops are in the 26-30 range. If you are being served appetizers and entrees on regular sized dishes, and you have a bread basket, water and wine glasses, why have everything crammed togethe, especially in a high end venue. They have plenty of space to use a larger table. The bus boy has not heard that you don't lean over the diners when removing empty glasses and dishes. I recommend going for the atmosphere, not the food."

  • "My husband and I recently ate at Latitudes with another couple. It was a wonderful experience in an atmosphere that is unparalleled. It was so cool to arrive at the restaurant by boat and view the sunset from our table. We had a wonderful time and the service was great. The only downside was a few of the dishes. The men loved their skirt steaks but my friend ordered the grouper with noodles and she did not like the fish and the noodles were so tough she could not eat them. I ordered the salmon and it was really undercooked. We would go back because it is just an enchanting evening but next time I will inform the waiter regarding how I like my salmon cooked."
