  • "I was concerned that this would be another trendy , over the top food experience. Instead the restaurant staff was lovely, the decor creative and fun and a we had a great view of the working harbor front. The meal was perfect . The Asian style calamari was tender and flavorful. The scallops with Brussels sprout and fingerling potatoes could not have been more perfect. We shared a banana cream pie dessert with a walnut crust and Nutella that was soooo good! We were there on a Sunday night so it was not packed but a good crowd, families, young couples, etc. We will return and I will recommend to others, ,"

  • "Very very surprised how great the sushi was at this restaurant, best I have ever had. Really fresh seafood, great apps, particularly the tuna tartar and oysters (wellfleet). Excellent drinks and a great selection of beers on tap, a nice find on the North Shore!"

  • "We have been for dinner several times in the past year. The food has been very good, but this time it was even better. I had the seared scallops and the whole dish was perfect. I don't say that very often, if ever. We want to go back as soon as possible. As a special note a waitperson who we had serve us on an earlier occasion remembered us and stopped by the table to say hi. Personal touches count."

  • "I've been here a few times and the location is great (sit outside if the weather allows!) and the staff is very cordial and friendly. The food ranges from good to very good with some dishes being better than others. Overall the food is consistent and hitting the correct dish (baked haddock) is worth the visit."

  • "We tried out Latitude 43 for the first time and enjoyed ourselves. The service was excellent. She kept on top of our drink refills, was very knowledgeable and gave us good recommendations when prompted. The food was pretty good and very filling. The atmosphere inside was laid back and easy going."

  • "We went to Latitude 43 because we had a Groupon. We are die hard Alchemy fans and thought with the closing of that restaurant for rennovations, we would give Lat 43 a try. It was such an enjoyable experience and is definately now on our "Go to " list of restaurants. We can not wait to go back in the warm weather and enjoy the outdoor seating. I would highly recommend experiencing Lat 43."

  • "Fun, lively atmosphere where the food and the service were great! We sat by the window and although dark, was a cozy and fun place to sit. We got the fried clams and the bouillabaisse, both which were terrific! Great service and the bonus was the sitting area which we went after dinner and had a glass of wine by the fireplace! v ."

  • "The meal was just a step above average, but the service was great. Just the right level of attentiveness, even thought our server was training a neophyte. Ambiance gained points for location and view."

  • "Delicious fresh food. The sushi and the seafood were both fantastic. The california roll was one of the best I have ever had and was filled with fresh crab rather than the typical bright pink crab sticks you often find. Extremely tasty."

  • "My best friend and I come here at least once a month. During the summer this is the hot spot to come to for drinks on the deck. We love the atomsphere and food. If its a late night we will go next door to Minglewood if there is live music too. Lots of options for any group of people."

  • "We dined on a Sunday evening, the restaurant was not crowded - maybe 4-5 tables full when we arrived and half full by the time we left. My husband ordered off the sushi menu. After we ordered I heard the waitress from the booth next to us tell her customers there was a delay in sushi orders. Several minutes later, I heard another waitress tell her customers of delay with sushi orders. Meanwhile, we we're sitting and waiting, waiting for our order - our waiter circled the restaurant, avoiding contact with us and NEVER mentioned the delay to us. We were not in a rush and since we had over heard the other wait staff, we understood what was going on - it would have been nice if our waiter had the courtesy to relay the delay to us."

  • "We needed to find a restaurant before attending a concert in Rockport. Apparently there are no restaurants open for dinner in Rockport in the winter. So we tried Latitude 43. The decor was interesting - there's a giant octopus chandelier over the sushi bar, which is recessed into the floor. The dining room was a bit cramped - felt like our table was right on top of the people next to us. The food was good - there were some unusual sushi options, such as Kobe beef, and lots of traditional fare as well. Good warm foccacia served with oil and balsamic vinegar. The service was very good - we let our waiter know we were on a schedule to make the show, and he got us through the meal promptly without making it seemed rushed."

  • "Great dinner with wonderful service. I had the butternut squash ravioli with brussel sprouts, which was very good. My partner had the Pork Chop with vegetables and it was yummy. The dessert, key lime pie, was good. We will be back."

  • "This past summer I had the best steak I'd ever eaten, at Latitude 43, which was funny considering it was a restaurant know for seafood. I was really looking forward to having it on my birthday, sadly they changed the menu and what was a beautiful sirloin with delicate truffle fries was now a thin rib eye soak in a tart chimmichurri sauce and thick steak fries. PLEASE BRING BACK THE SIRlOIN. The mussels were excellent, the Caesar salad forgettable, service was very attentive, and they did change my sides for an up charge. One of the reasons this was one of my top 2 favorite restaurants was that even a steak was fantastic there. Looking forward to the next menu change in hopes I can put it back on my top 3."

  • "We've eaten at Latitude 43 several times and it's always been excellent, it's our second favourite restaurant in Gloucester after Duckworth's. The only reason that I haven't rated it a 5 is that the menu isn't very innovative, however everything is well prepared and the seafood is very fresh. I had the mussels and the scallops, my girlfriend had the duck confit. The mussels and duck were very good and the scallops were exceptional."

  • "We avoided the rush and reserved for 5pm on New Year's Eve. The service was very friendly and we were not rushed. There were mostly families when we arrived, but by 6:15 couples and small groups were starting to fill in the tables. The seafood entrees we selected (seared scallops and broiled salmon) were perfectly done and well presented. We both had half entrees and also ordered small Caesar salads. We both were well filled. The wine list was good with a variety of price points available in all categories. Our server was attentive, friendly and let us set the pace. All in all a pleasant way to start the evening before we went up to enjoy "New Year's Rockport Eve."

  • "Dinner before Shalin Liu concert at 7pm in Rockport. Waiter John was very attentive to our need to get to Rockport on time; he even alerted us to dishes that took a bit more time to come out of the kitchen. Our party of four shared the beet salad to start and we all ordered the roast salmon, plated with chard and sweet potato. It was delicious. Lat43 is usually more lively than it was on this late Sunday afternoon, with snow expected later on. So we had no distractions for our lively table conversation."

  • "A booth by the window, great food, great service and nice ambience - a great experience. Anne had the Fennel dusted Tuba, which she said was the best dish she has ever had. On my side I took two of the vegetarian options - The Spinach and Parmesan Arancini and the Avocado salad with seaweed from the Sushi pit - a great combination. Megan was our server. She is always pleasant, attentive and knowledgeable. This restaurant is well managed by someone who knows food. Nice job Matt."

  • "I had an outstanding presentation of scallops; spouse loved her dinner as well. Great service. Everything was exceptional except for a snarky busboy, mocking my "OMG" comment. Great artwork incorporated into room design, comfortable booths....what's not to like?"
