Diner Reviews
  • "Food was prepared well and enjoyable, a little slow with tables close by which made it somewhat noisy but overall the experience was nice and the waiter was very knowledgeable and accommodating since we had tickets to a musical. I would return."

  • "The ambiance was disappointing. It looks like a hotel restaurant, not a destination restaurant. No real atmosphere or feeling of uniqueness to it. The food was good though."

  • "We had the six course Chef's Tasting with wine. This is a wonderful way to try a wide selection of the items on the menu, with the added bonus of their suggestions as to the wine pairings. Six small plates starting with the beet salad gave a taste, without being overfilling. Each selection became our favorite of the night. We tasted, after the salad, the pork bruchetta, pork shoulder, duck bourgenoign, scallapos with asparagus, and ended with a wonderful hot dark chocolate fudge cake. Each wine pairing was perfect with the meal, and featured the two Bolthouse Wine blends, and ended with a mangocello. By the end we were not only satisfied, but extremely pleased with our evening, both food and service."

  • "This is one of new favorites. Reasonably priced and it is in my neighborhood."

  • "Excellent service. Brussells sprouts salad was "lick the bowl" delicious. The short ribs were marred by being a little dry, but were otherwise very tasty. We always appreciiate the quiet ambience that is so difficult to find in any other restaurant where noise rules."

  • "I read some decent reviews and thought we would try it. My daughter said her sprite had more flavor than her wedge."

  • "The pizza (1 pepperoni, 1 Margarita) was good; the crust was very good. However, I didn't visit to buy pizza. My personal preference would be a wider variety to choose from."

  • "The food is very good in this well kept secret of a restaurant. Dillon was our waiter. He has been outstanding on two visits to this restaurant. Highly recommended."

  • "Was sat at an uneven table, where the table wobbled. Found a hair in my food. Cocktails were extremely small for the price."

  • "I really enjoyed the dining experience. The waiter was outstanding and friendly and kept up with our refills without being asked. The food was excellent and fast! You get a lot of food for the money, as i couldn't even finish the meal. Very nice quality - upscale establishment and food! Enjoyed the complimentary fruit smoothy as well. We wanted for nothing while we were there. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and would eat there again when downtown. Convenient to parking also!"

  • "Close by with ground parking in between. Service is good. Menu is short but all the dishes were excellent"

  • "My wife and I enjoyed another great dinner at Latitude 41 (valentines themed). The appetizers, entree, desserts and drinks were all very good. Our waiter did a wonderful job informing us about each dish as well as being attentive to our needs."

  • "Latitude 41 has been our place to go for all special occasions. It has the best menu and is consistently great in its food quality and service."

  • "The experience was great. There were some noise level issue's coming from the kitchen that need addressed. But the food was excellent and we will dine there again."

  • "Went for lunch. Hostess was friendly but kept assuming we were from out of town. Server was curt and didn't have much info on new items. Table was randomly placed, felt like we were thrown in the middle of the floor. Food was good. Limited lunch menu. Would like to try a different server and dinner menu. Would have been nice to have bread before we ordered. Wasn't offered dessert or refills. Bill delivered right after we were served. Maybe just an "off day" for them?"

  • "My reservation was for 8:00PM and by this time the restaurant ran out of mashed potatoes. The waiter did not take the time to learn the menu (it was a special menu for the day) and as a result we were given the wrong information about our dinner options. It took over 50 minutes to get our food on this limited menu. We ran out of wine on several occasions and at one point I had to get out of my seat to get the waiter. Food was overall good and the atmosphere was nice. The main downfall, I had spent over $150.00 on dinner to leave hungry and disappointed with the waiter. I would not go back again."

  • "This is the first review I've ever written and I'm only writing because of how awful the food/service was. It took a total of 3 hours from start to finish for dinner. We did not linger, we ate fast, but everything was in slow motion. We ordered the "chef's tasting". The appetizers were decent. The salad tasted as if it were five months old, no flavor, no dressing, horrible taste. The scallops over mashed cauliflower was inedible. I've never tasted anything so horrible."

  • "The restaurant had a very romantic, quiet and almost secluded atmosphere! The menu for valentines day was excellent, just wish they had more chicken options. The dishes came out and looked very neat and well put together, the food was delicious and the drinks even better!! The dessert was more than enough for two people and also was very delicious!! Didn't expect the lava cake to be cold though!! But was still amazing!!"

  • "Location & ambiance are great, people were friendly...but I felt like it was missing something since the last time I was there 2 years ago. We were expecting to have the same experience that we had for Valentines Day 2012. I'm not sure if it was a special menu just for that day or what? I asked about the chef that opened the place a few years ago and he has since moved on...so maybe that is why the experience was lacking. I also felt like our server was either brand new to the place or wasn't properly trained...he couldn't make any recommendations on which wine to pick in my budget or what was a popular menu item. I'll probably head back in another year or at least read more recent reviews before planning another reservation."

  • "Typically I do not get excited about dining at restaurants located in hotels,. This was a great experience from service(great waiter)' to the overall dining experience. Will dine here next time I'm in town, looking forward to another great dining experience"

  • "The food was excellent and reasonable priced. Service was magnificent. Live right around the corner and first time there, but it definitely will NOT be my last!"

  • "It's unfortunate that a poorly made salad can ruin a dining experience, but it can. When paying $10 for a salad I expect more than just iceberg lettuce and orange slices."

  • "This was an alright dining evening. Certainly not up to the prices on the menu. Good thing I wasn't hungry, or the serving size I received wouldn't have satisfied me."
    Dined on 1/25/2014
  • "There is a four course meal for $40. Salad, Chicken, Beef and a dessert. All of them were very creative and it worth the price. Menu is not big, but there are plenty to choose. This was the best restaurant we ate for the last few years."

  • "Latitude 41 is right alongside with big city restaurants we've visited. The food is excellent, the service is outstanding and the bar service is delicious."

  • "What an amazing evening. It was an experience to remember. Easily one of the best meals I have had, certainly in Columbus. Chef Michael is increadible! Thank you!"

  • "My wife and I had a wonderful evening at Latitude 41. We chose to go with the 6 course tasting menu and the food was fabulous. We asked our waiter to not tell us what the courses were going to be ahead of time but to describe them as they came out and it was great to be surprised for each dish. Our waiter was great he was very personable and knowligible of the food. Wonderful time and would go back in without hesitation."

  • "My sister and I came to Columbus to hear friends play at Tara Hall on Friday night, stayed overnight and met up with our Niece from Somerset to take in A Christmas Carol at the historic Ohio Theater the next day. My Niece and I had met at Latitude 41 two years ago when we met in downtown Columbus and enjoyed the menu and wine list and comfortable non-pushy atmosphere. This time we arrived earlier and had breakfast. It was delightful. Maybe the next time we do this we will also make reservations at the Renaissance. But, we do like walking around downtown a little. Our server was friendly and helpful and the food was delicious."

  • "I wish I had known it was a buffet - no ordering off the menu. It was a nice Thanksgiving spread. No pumpkin cheesecake - they ran out."

  • "I enjoy an adventure in dining, but my husband does not. I enjoy foods that we do not usually see on restaurant menus -- lamb meatballs and duck sausage. My husband enjoys straight-forward presentations of beef, chicken, and fish. Latitude 41 pleases me, but there is not a single item, other than kids' pasta, on the menu for my partner. How can I enjoy a meal, when my partner silently suffers through "kids' pasta?" The waiter served it to my husband without the requested mushrooms and cheese, so it resembled canned FrancoAmerican. Come on Latitude 41; you can do better! Also, we inquired about a fish other than shellfish, and the waiter said they do not serve a dinner-sized portion."

  • "A bit more than a year ago, I went to 41 for the first time. We had the 'chef's menu' and since I was a vegan, the chef made a special accommodation and prepared the most wonderful meal for me. We had the best service. I went back a couple times for shows downtown. What a disappointment. The chef's menu had changed and it was just a bundled price for regular menu items instead of the creative surprises from the chef. Request for vegan food...denied. The waiter never brought bread to the table, broke the cork of the wine and served wine with cork pieces on it (that was replaced). Brought me the wrong flat bread. My mom's lamb sausage pasta was barely eatable as it was so blend that I was mortified. Never going back."

  • "We enjoyed Latitude 41 and were delightfully surprised by the lovely decor, ambiance and appealing menu. Service was very quick, then got slow,--almost made us late for our 8pm show. Wait staff easily accommodated our gluten free needs."

  • "We choose Latitude 41 after seeing some good reviews and being intrigued by the menu. Well, the menu on the website was quite different from the menu in the restaurant, but that is understandable considering they use mostly local and sustainable products and it changes often. Our server was nice and asked why we were in town; after telling him we were seeing a show in less than 2 hours, he made sure to give us prompt service. Needless to say, our appetizer pizza (Fig and goat cheese) was excellent, as were our entrees. Just when we didn't think it could get better, the dessert came - chocolate and caramel cake with ice cream and toffee sauce. The cake was a dense sponge texture and was perfect for two to share."

  • "530 pm reservation; wasn't really needed at that time of night however. The restaurant bar is nothing to speak of (the hotel has an additional bar, far nicer) The dining room is not a warm setting. Service was unfortunately poor. Mussels as appetizer were nondescript; wine sauce, no spice. Ordered a salad and halibut. Wife ordered a Ceaser. My salad was boring. Then informed had been given an outdated menu; no halibut entrée. Re-ordered a mushroom pizza, which actually was pretty good. Unfortunately, it and my wife's ceaser salad didnt show up until 6:50 pm. Her ceaser was no better than what you could prepare at home, with little effort. The parking attendants were very pleasant, and the hostess was nice - best i can offer."

  • "The ambiance was great. The food was delicious and we loved the fact that it was fresh and local. The service was superb and helpful with my request for gluten-free options. I ordered the 4 course meal and the chef came out to explain my options. Would definitely recommend Latitude 41 to others. Can't wait to go back."

  • "We were looking forward to the past ample selection of small plates and were disappointed with the emphasis on entrees by the new chef."

  • "We dined on a Monday night so it was nearly empty-perfect for our occasion as we had the full attention of our server Brent. After being seated, our server noted that it was our anniversary and started out with a complimentary glass of champagne and toast to the evening. Everything on the menu looked delicious so we ended up choosing the Chef's Tasting Menu (6 course). The tasting menu was amazing, but 4 courses would have been plenty as the portions were remarkably large. Brent did an excellent job describing each course, taking into consideration our likes/dislikes, he had one of the chefs come out to greet us and describe the dessert, and Brent even prepared a cocktail for us to pair with one dish (no extra charge). Excellent all around!"
