Diner Reviews
  • "The food here was good and the service was great. The outdoor seating is nice, unfortunately the view is more of the buildings next door than the water."

  • "Everything was just OK. Disappointed since they have such a good reputation. Quality did not match the prices. Hope the wedding goes smoothly."

  • "Beautiful outdoor seating and fresh, yummy seafood. I wish lunch portions had been smaller so we would have still been hungry for essert. They looked amazing."

  • "Love the front of the house staff super friendly professional and well trained. We had great service. We ordered some apps to share, pub dip had good flavor but the waterchestnuts and artichokes weren't chopped up enough and it made it difficult to eat. Also the flat bread we ordered was soggy although the toppings were tasty. Finally we had fish tacos which boasted a lime cilantro sour cream sauce and corn salsa- it was closer to fried fish with lettuce in a tortilla shell. Lightly topped with a few kernels of corn and no hint of lime or cilantro. Kind of a sad dish of tacos. It truely wouldn't take much to deliver on the promise of flavor on those tacos. We sat outside and had some great drinks kudos to the bar."

  • "Great dinner from start to finish. Kelsey our server had a good handle on the menu and was pleasant throughout. The clam chowder was outstanding as was a special app of stuffed squash blossoms stuffed with ricotta cheese. We shared an order of fried carlamari which was served piping hot with a great dipping sauce. For dinner we had lobster and asparagus crepes and chicken Caesar salad. We sat outside on a beautiful first night of summer and enjoyed all that Mystic had to offer. Our first time here but we will surely be back. Thanks for a great experience."

  • "Service was very good and attentive. The timing was a little off on the evening we dined. Apps and salads came at the same time and entrees arrived before we were done. Food was good and presentation was well done."

  • "My wife and I came here for our first wedding anniversary. There was only one other other table of people when we got there, it was about 6PM on a Tuesday. The manager directed asked us if we wanted to sit in the dining room or outside, we chose outside so she directed us to the hostess outside. We basically got to pick our table. The waitress was wonderful, the bread was delicious. The food was quick and so tasty!. My wife got the seafood pot pie and I got the prime rib. The food and service were superb."

  • "Beautiful spot overlooking the Mystic River. Very nice to see they added a few tables outside close to the river. The food is good and the staff is friendly, but don't expect good service if you want a drink at the Bar."

  • "Reasonably priced, decent food, nicely presented, good service from a friendly staff, large portions, most appetizers could be shared by two diners."

  • "We sat outside with the beautiful view of the water. Our waitress was attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. Food was excellent."

  • "As Rhode Islanders, we love meeting our Connecticut cousins at Latitude 41. Food is very good and the service outstanding! The noise level was quiet enough so that we didn't miss a word of our catching-up conversation. This is the 3rd time we've made this type of reservation and we WILL be returning. "

  • "I was expecting more after reading the other open table reviews I had the filet and my husband had the bouillabaisse both were good but not great. The sauce on the filet was rather heavy and flat although the steak was cooked perfectly. I will say that the peanut butter explosion desert was fantastic and we would go back just for that. "

  • "Best appetizer mushrooms, crab cakes and lobster ravioli I ever had . Highly recommend worth the expense for a special occasion ."

  • "There was a variety of items both on the regular and specials menu. The wine list was also extensive. The dinners we ordered were delicious and cooked to perfection! Our server was very friendly and attentive. We would definitely return the next time we are visiting Mystic!"

  • "I had dinner with a new friend on Saturday night at Latitude 41. The food was wonderful, I had the salmon and my friend had the scallops. Both dishes were excellent and cooked perfectly. The ambiance was lovely with a rustic charm. The only drawback was that it was noisy as they had a rehearsal dinner at a long table next to us. The service was excellent as well. So all in all I would go back there and recommend it in the future."

  • "I brought my mom and aunt to Latitude 41 for their Mother's Day Brunch. My aunt was using a walker and they were very helpful with her seating. In addition, they helped me get food from the buffet table for both of them. The buffet was fantastic with so many choices."

  • "The food was good, nothing exceptional or unexpected for brunch, but everything was good. The service and friendliness of everyone we encountered was A+++. The set up in the large banquet room was elegant and plentiful. The desserts were pretty and yummy. The beautiful view drew us outdoors where there were comfortable places to sit and relax by the river. I'd like to come back and try something from the dinner menu some time. "

  • "This place was great. Went for a Mother's Day Buffett that was out of this world. Only thing to watch out for is high price for alcoholic drinks. Otherwise, go here!"

  • "We had reservations for a Mother's Day Brunch Buffet. We were seated at a table by a Hostess. We sat for approx. 15-20 min. No one came to our table even though waiters were tending to other tables. We decided to go help ourselves. While in the buffet room, we asked a waiter for coffee. He said someone would serve us. After an hour, we had finished our meal. Still no coffee. My daughter went to ask for coffee again. Waited and still no coffee. Finally, as we're getting up to leave, a waitress came over to our table and apologized because she forgot that she was assigned to our table. At this point I was appalled! I asked why we had to pay a 20% gratuity fee ($34) when she did not serve our table at all! I will NEVER go back there again. "

  • "I ate at Latitude 41 for Easter Brunch. It was very busy, probably much busier than normal but the servers were on top of everything. The Easter Brunch is buffet style so there are a variety of options to choose from. It's a great choice if you don't mind the added commotion."

  • "We met friends we had not seen in several years for dinner. We wanted a place we could actually hear each other and enjoy catching up. The staff was fantastic. Jessica was personable, fun, attentive but never pushy. We spent three hours and never felt we needed to hurry along. The food was generous and fantastic!"

  • "Latitude 41 provides a wonderful dining experience. The staff was welcoming, friendly, approachable and competent. Service was as we requested (drink - time before ordering), shared desert, etc. The food was beautifully and tastefully prepared, and more than ample and the choices abundant. Can't wait to go back!"

  • "Had lunch with friend from out of state. It was a first time visit for both of us. The service was impeccable, food was delicious and reasonably priced. Would recommend highly. Only drawback was the room with the view was out back reserved for functions. Actually peeked out back as a beautiful possibility for a future wedding site."

  • "We had not eaten here since it was Seaman's Inn and were a little hesitant because we had really enjoyed Seaman's Inn and were disappointed to discover it had closed. But we were thrilled with our experience with Latitude 41. Drinks, meals, desserts, and chowder were outstanding as was the service."

  • "We went to Latitude 41 for Valentine's Day and it was awesome! The food was really great and the service was excellent. I had the hanger steak and crab cake combo which was amazing. It was also reasonably priced for our two dinners and bottle of wine. I highly recommend checking out this spot. It was really great and we'll be back!"

  • "We enjoyed our dinner which was prepared and presented very well. Nancy, the Hostess, was warm & welcoming and Lauren, our waitress, was efficient & friendly. The the wine list is not broad but offers a nice selection of good reasonably priced wines. The menu had just changed over to the Winter menu and had a nice offering. We will be back. There is a Tavern-like dining area across from the dining room that I would like to try on our next visit. It looks 'cozy' and seems to be popular. Then there is a very active Bar with music in back room - a little noisy for my dining preference, but a lively place to have a cocktail before or after dinner."

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Latitude 41, from the greeting from our hostess, the visit from the restaurant manager, and the excellent service by our waitress, Celina. Do not be put off by my review of "very good" because I save Excellent for the very top 5-star places. This is the perfect place to dine while visiting Mystic or in our case returning home from Foxwoods. The menus is broad enough to find something for anyone and Celina gave us the specials right away before we had chosen our food."
