  • "Tried Latitude 41 for the first time. Great meal, great look, and great service. We will definitely be going back."

  • "Great service and food! Portions were unexpectedly generous for Restaurant Week. I thought they might be smaller...nice surprize. Had the pear, beet, spinach and warm goat cheese salad and the short ribs, mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. The salad was very good but could have used some thinly sliced red onion...no need for the grape tomatoes...mainly decoration and tool away from the salad. Short ribs were tender and tasty but would have liked a bit more of the Cabernet reduction sauce. Mashed potatoes were good and the brussel sprouts were perfect with just the right amount of crunch. Hubby had the fish and chips and the market salad. The salad was very good with lots of goodies (cranberries, spiced walnuts and goat cheese). The cod was fried in a nice batter that was tender and not greasy and topped with a caper tartar sauce. Steak fries and coleslaw was a nice addition. Meal ended with a carrot cake torte which was wonderful and tender and the chocolate decadent flourless torte that was a bit too firm for me but may have had a smoother texture if it had not been so cold. Great meal. Will definitely return."

  • "Enjoyed lunch here on a not terribly busy Sunday which is surely not the norm. Food was great (not overwhelming portions), service outstanding and the restaurant/tavern has a seafaring, coastal charm as it is located right next to Mystic Seaport. The lunch menu offers a very nice variety of options. Looking forward to returning - for lunch or dinner!"

  • "I've lived in the area for 7 years, and this was the first time I dined here. Service (Sunday lunch, not in tourist season) was pleasant, attentive, professional. Limited seasonal menu, but very nicely prepared and presented. I would certainly return."

  • "Our reservation was taken with no problem, we were sat and our waitress shared the daily specials. I ordered the lobster bisque which had a nice flavor but was lukewarm at best. I didn't bother to send it back, which maybe I should have. He got a salad which was tasty enough, but very pedestrian in its appearance. It did contain a fried goat cheese cake which was delicious when paired with the pears in the salad. For entrees, he got the mustard encrusted salmon which was good if you like a lot of mustard seed! I got the lobster pot pie which was delicious with a homemade pastry crust. I'm not sure we'd return to this restaurant, but it was nice to give it a try."

  • "My husband, myself and our two young children ate at Lattitude 41 on Halloween Evening. Our food was divine and the waitstaff, absolutely excellent."

  • "Arrived after five hour drive. Walked around grounds and then treated to a relaxing and pleasant evening of great and creative food, wine and service. Thoroughly enjoyable. Reasonably priced."

  • "We visited on a Friday evening. Service was great but food was disappointing. Our oyster appetizer consisted of three large oysters two of which tasted fresh. Our stuffed flounder special was tasteless and overstuffed with some sort of bread stuffing. I actually had to spit out a piece of flounder that tasted questionable. On Saturday, we ate at S&P Oyster for the same price and had outstanding food."

  • "Charming restaurant in Mystic with one side a more casual pub atmosphere and the other side more fine dining. Good food and friendly staff and great water views."

  • "My husband and I were visiting Mystic for the weekend and decided to eat at Latitude because of the beautiful outdoor view. They also happened to be hosting a wedding that evening, which may explain the slow service. We waited a long time for our drinks and had to ask for bread. The food when it finally arrived was OK, but my fish was overdone (dry). My husband had the lobster roll and he enjoyed that very much."

  • "I should have heeded the warnings from other reviewers. Cold food, long wait and frazzled staff. The manager offered free drinks or desert to make up for the nightmare. One of the free drinks had an ant floating in it. That was sent back and although we were offered another we declined. At that point we had enough of this place. When the bill came the server said she took the "free" drink off the bill when she should have taken the one we actually paid for off the bill. A table full of drunk and loud women and a screaming baby only added to our misery. It was too late to go anywhere else so we ended up eating vending machine snacks back at the hotel. Never again."

  • "Good service, great food, little too noisy due to a wedding."

  • "Very good luncheon experience. Service was prompt, friendly. Great views! Making reservations on line was a plus."

  • "An intimate setting with a wise selection of good food, the only missing component is a thorough and decent priced wine list! Very impressed with the personable staff and management who met our every need. Thanks for a great experience!"

  • "COHOG FRITTERS:HAD A HORRIBLE BURNT TASTE. TOOK A WHILE TO FIND OUR WAITRESS, TOLD HER WE DID NOT WANT ANOTHER ORDER OF THEM, WOULD TAKE MORE RAW OYSTERS AND A DIET COKE INSTEAD. WITHIN 5 MINS, OUR DINNER WAS SERVED- I ORDERED 3 FILET MIGNONS- ONE TO BE SPLIT BETWEEN 2 CHILDREN. 4 PLATES OF FILET ARRIVED AND I IF ONE STEAK WAS SPLIT AND HIS REPLY WAS "I GUESS SO". WAITRESS CAME OVER TO CHECK ON ENTREES- FRIED FISH PLATTER HAD A BURNT TASTE. NEVER RECEIVED THE ADDITIONAL OYSTERS AND HAD TO ASK FOR THE SODA AGAIN-SHE APOLOGIZED THEY WERE SHORT STAFFED.ASKED FOR CHECK-FRITTERS WERE ON THE CHECK ALSO 4 STEAKS. THE WAITRESS APOLOGIZED AGAIN. SHE MADE THE CHANGES TO THE CHECK AND SPOKE WITH MANAGER OVER-HEARD AGAIN "WE ARE VERY SHORT HANDED""

  • "The last time we were at mystic we had past this place a few times and the reviews were good, but I already had reservations elsewhere so unfortunately we didn't go. This time however we had to. It was great, the soup and meal were fantastic! The server and host were friendly and nice, not pushy and didn't make us feel rushed to leave. Inside was nice and quiet, dark and romantic with a outside option as well. So much food in the portions that we had leftovers for another full meal. We're definitely going back when we go back to mystic."

  • "Although we had an option to drive to other restaurants, we chose this one due to its proximity to the seaport as part of our group travelled via boat. It's high ratings and boasts of fresh food guided us to great expectations. Unfortunately, we experienced mediocre cafeteria quality meals with similar ambiance. We dined on overlooked and dry fish with increasing lighting. I generally stay away from on-site dining with the understanding that institutional food rarely provides a gastronomical experience. This evening underscores my thoughts. The saving grace for this evening was the polite waitress who tried to attend to our needs."

  • "Very good food in a nice location right next to Mystic Seaport"

  • "Great view but nothing else to brag about. Lunch was okay, lacked originality and taste!"
    Dined on 8/22/2014
  • "The restaurant was fantastic-service was attentive. Food was outstanding!"

  • " The location is the best for sunsets. The fried fish platter was okay but not the best I've eaten along Connecticut's shore. My friend enjoyed the 8 oz. steak. The ambience was marred by a group of noisy adolescent campers who were playing a raucous game in the field adjacent to the outside dining area during most of our dinner experience. We felt the restaurant and/or seaport management should have realized this was annoying to patrons and had the kids play elsewhere."
    Dined on 8/7/2014
  • "My friends and I had a fantastic lunch out on the lawn overlooking the water. Our waitress was wonderful , food was delicious , and they were happy to let us visit with each other for hours. This is a special place for any occasion!"
    Dined on 7/29/2014
  • "Service was impersonable and everything took very long even though there about 5 total parties in the place. Loud kids (i went there with my own, not anti-kid), food was bland and ordinary and most unfortunate because I was really looking forward to it. Everything ordered could have been made better at home - sandwiches were tasteless, cod was soggy, casesar was a $17 plate of romaine stalk with minimal dressing and about 4 strips of chicken. Too many food options to explore in Mystic to go back, would not recommend."

  • "Relaxing, really good food, lovely setting, friendly and attentive service, with a very pretty view."
    Dined on 7/26/2014
  • "Nothing special but overall a good experience. Waitress was a doll, food was good, pretty view of the seaport. Outdoor hostess has to move a bit more quickly and figure out how to accommodate patrons. She went back and forth to the kitchen a million times to see if they were backed up before seating each table.m if there are available tables, the kitchen should be able to keep up. Hostess needs a better game plan....atleast greet people and give them a clue as to what the wait is gonna be."

  • "My husband, 18month old son, and I just visited this past Friday and this dining experience started off an amazing vacation. We experienced an amazing ambiance at sunset with dinner outside on the lawn. The views were something out of paradise. To say a dining experience with an 18 month old is relaxing is not very common. However, my son was thoroughly entertained and ran around the outside lawn but was contained by the fence. Our meals were delicious and full of flavor- highly recommend the stuffed lobster- the best I have ever had. Furthermore, the prices were extremly reasonable. We plan on visiting again and HIGHLY recommend anyone in the area to visit this gem."

  • "Food was very good. However, we were more impressed with the setting and the ability to sit outdoors. And service was very attentive."

  • "Found Latitude 41 on Open Table. From Memphis and in Mystic on business- what a great find! Recommend to anyone looking for a great, quiet dinner. Can't say romantic because I was with folks from work- but- it is. :)"
    Dined on 7/22/2014
  • "The food here was good and the service was great. The outdoor seating is nice, unfortunately the view is more of the buildings next door than the water."
    Dined on 7/12/2014
  • "Everything was just OK. Disappointed since they have such a good reputation. Quality did not match the prices. Hope the wedding goes smoothly."
    Dined on 7/5/2014
  • "Beautiful outdoor seating and fresh, yummy seafood. I wish lunch portions had been smaller so we would have still been hungry for essert. They looked amazing."

  • "Love the front of the house staff super friendly professional and well trained. We had great service. We ordered some apps to share, pub dip had good flavor but the waterchestnuts and artichokes weren't chopped up enough and it made it difficult to eat. Also the flat bread we ordered was soggy although the toppings were tasty. Finally we had fish tacos which boasted a lime cilantro sour cream sauce and corn salsa- it was closer to fried fish with lettuce in a tortilla shell. Lightly topped with a few kernels of corn and no hint of lime or cilantro. Kind of a sad dish of tacos. It truely wouldn't take much to deliver on the promise of flavor on those tacos. We sat outside and had some great drinks kudos to the bar."

  • "Great dinner from start to finish. Kelsey our server had a good handle on the menu and was pleasant throughout. The clam chowder was outstanding as was a special app of stuffed squash blossoms stuffed with ricotta cheese. We shared an order of fried carlamari which was served piping hot with a great dipping sauce. For dinner we had lobster and asparagus crepes and chicken Caesar salad. We sat outside on a beautiful first night of summer and enjoyed all that Mystic had to offer. Our first time here but we will surely be back. Thanks for a great experience."

  • "Service was very good and attentive. The timing was a little off on the evening we dined. Apps and salads came at the same time and entrees arrived before we were done. Food was good and presentation was well done."

  • "My wife and I came here for our first wedding anniversary. There was only one other other table of people when we got there, it was about 6PM on a Tuesday. The manager directed asked us if we wanted to sit in the dining room or outside, we chose outside so she directed us to the hostess outside. We basically got to pick our table. The waitress was wonderful, the bread was delicious. The food was quick and so tasty!. My wife got the seafood pot pie and I got the prime rib. The food and service were superb."

  • "Great place to sit outside , enjoy lunch and take in the scenery of the Mystic River."
    Dined on 6/15/2014
  • "Beautiful spot overlooking the Mystic River. Very nice to see they added a few tables outside close to the river. The food is good and the staff is friendly, but don't expect good service if you want a drink at the Bar."
    Dined on 6/14/2014
  • "Reasonably priced, decent food, nicely presented, good service from a friendly staff, large portions, most appetizers could be shared by two diners."
    Dined on 6/13/2014
  • "We sat outside with the beautiful view of the water. Our waitress was attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. Food was excellent."

  • "As Rhode Islanders, we love meeting our Connecticut cousins at Latitude 41. Food is very good and the service outstanding! The noise level was quiet enough so that we didn't miss a word of our catching-up conversation. This is the 3rd time we've made this type of reservation and we WILL be returning. "
